Chapter 79 - 71 Mysterious Prophecy
Chapter 79: Chapter 71 Mysterious Prophecy
Antion had recounted every divine miracle of the past thirty years to Dertulian, and Al’s descendants listened intently; the more they listened, the more terrified they became.
"Do They also consider themselves the children of God?"
Dertulian asked incredulously.
It was unimaginable.
Antion slowly nodded, having poured out everything, and then collapsed to the ground.
"What should we do, Dertulian?"
Antion asked, slightly bewildered. As a priest serving God, he feared that the people of Logos would betray God and turn to other gods, hence he bore this secret alone for thirty years.
Dertulian’s lips were tightly pursed, and at this moment, the son of the Prophet felt dizzy and unsteady.
After a long contemplation,
Dertulian murmured,
"Ignore It, we have our God, It might be deceiving us."
Indeed, the Gods disdain to deceive the insignificant people of Logos.
Thus, not a single word that the Prophetic God Kagawus told Antion was false.
But even if Dertulian knew this, what of it?
He had already sworn an oath to God in his heart to find His whereabouts.
Upon hearing Dertulian’s words, Antion also stood up; he was ultimately a priest serving God. Even though Kagawus had shown miracles before him for thirty years, he would never turn away from the God of Logos.
He stood up from the ground and slowly said,
"Before I boarded the ship, Kagawus told me one last prophecy."
Dertulian turned around and asked solemnly,
"What is it?"
Antion emphasized the accuracy and efficacy of the prophecy numerous times, making Dertulian instinctively cautious.
"He told me: He saw a cow, and during our journey, if we encounter a cow, we must absolutely not kill it.
For the Gods cherish that cow, and if it is killed, it would be defying the Gods, and a great disaster would descend upon us.
He promised on behalf of the Gods that if we do not kill that cow, even though our journey may be fraught with hardships, it will not lead to our destruction."
As Antion recounted this most bizarre prophecy, Dertulian listened, racking his brain but unable to fathom the meaning of the prophecy.
Yet he could not afford to ignore this prophecy, daring not risk defying it.

Daylight vanished in an instant, and the night took dominion over the ocean realm; it was dinner time on the ship.
Among the sixty oar-sail ships, ten carried provisions such as wheat and livestock, and Dertulian instructed the chefs not to kill the cow. Fortunately, there were only about twenty live animals on the ships, mostly wild pigs and rams, with only one cow aboard.
Dertulian didn’t know if this cow was the one from the prophecy, but he remained exceedingly cautious, ordered people to safeguard the cow, and moved it to the ship where he was located.
In the middle of the night, Antion came up to the deck.
He raised his head to gaze at the brilliant stars and pricked up his ears as if listening to something.
However, at that moment, most of Logos people onboard had already fallen asleep; there was only the alternating sounds of waves and the sea breeze... nothing else.
Later, Antion’s figure wandered on the deck, seemingly pondering something.
Finally, he resolutely sought out Dertulian.
"Dertulian... the Prophetic God has revealed another oracle to me."
Under the moonlight, Dertulian looked at Antion in the darkness, whose form was slightly bent, as if weighed down by a spiritual burden.
"What oracle?"
Dertulian asked.
"He told me all the Gods are children of the Father, and they should inherit the Father’s faith on earth, therefore... He is tempting us to convert to the Gods."
Antion said each word carefully, not daring to misspeak,
"If we convert to the Gods, they will award Logos’ people with countless treasures on earth, making us the leaders of all."
For some reason, upon hearing this, Dertulian felt a thin layer of cold sweat on the back of his neck.
At this moment, Antion’s heart pounded heavily against his chest due to fear, and he urgently asked:
"What should we do? Dertulian!"
"Stay calm, Antion, stay calm! We cannot trust them."
"But what if this angers them, and they bring trials upon us?"
Dertulian looked at Antion, who resembled a frantic, lost ghost at this young priest moment, agitated, confused, and at a loss.
"We are destined to find the location of God; we must bring God back. No one, not even the Gods, can stop our journey."
Dertulian grabbed Antion’s shoulders, emphasizing solemnly,
"If the Gods want to bring trials upon us, then let the trials come, for the people of Logos are the true children of God."
Hearing Dertulian’s solemn words, Antion, although still visibly distressed, finally calmed down.
"I will listen to you, Dertulian."
.........
The dawn of the next day did not arrive as expected.
Logos’ people, with sixty oar-sail ships, faced a minor sea storm.
Tall waves crashed against the oar-sail ships, mercilessly sweeping some unsteady Logos people into the sea.
With sixty oar-sail ships struggling on the sea and only five Unihorns escorting them, they barely managed not to lose their way in the storm.
Dertulian gazed at the storm before him, the large raindrops mixed with saltiness slapping his face.
The people of Logos shouted and wailed amidst the storm, their cries never ceased, and those who feared the storm huddled together, hoping to soothe each other’s spirits.
At the end of the storm, the seawater formed a vortex, its immense force pulling the oar-sail ships together, causing them to collide harshly, and violently shaking like an earthquake on the sea.
Dertulian knelt down; one hand supporting the mast and the other clutching his head, he struggled to rise from the ground.
This descendant of Al soon realized,
This might be a minor trial and warning given by the Gods.
At the same time, Dertulian could clearly see the unimaginable chasm between the Divine and the feet-held people of Logos.
"Damn it!"
Dertulian punched heavily on a cabin wall, creating a dent in it.
He smiled bitterly at the small indent on the cabin wall, realizing even with the strength to hunt Giant Dragons, he cannot prevent the lofty Gods from manifesting their power.
"Do you have any ideas? Antion."
"Dertulian..."
Antion sat atop the cabin, equally in awe of the Gods’ power.
However, the miraculous signs of the Gods did not destroy their beliefs; instead, it motivated the two to find a way to overcome the trials.
After a while, Antion, supporting himself on the wall of the cabin, seemed to have thought of something, and slowly stood up.
Dertulian turned around and looked at Antion.
Antion walked closer to Dertulian’s side and leaned close to his ear.
"Perhaps..."
"I mean, perhaps..."
"Perhaps we can... deceive the Gods."
