Chapter 461 - 403: The Battle Between Vina Kana and the Six Gods
Chapter 461: Chapter 403: The Battle Between Vina Kana and the Six Gods
Compared to the War God who was being eroded, the actions of the Six Gods were extremely cautious and careful. With the assistance of the Lady of Sorrows, they skillfully wielded the power derived from the Primordial Will, combining it with their own Divine Power to transform into a pale and mighty force, without letting it corrode their minds.
Mira did not dare to be negligent, holding the Light Blade in her hand, her wings unfurling once more.
Alone, she was not enough to contend with the Six Gods, so she prayed to the Divine, summoning Vina Kana once again into the Bone Church.
What Mira hadn’t expected was that the Six Gods seemed to be much more troublesome than she had imagined.
Just as Mira was about to approach, Vina Kana extended a hand to stop her.
Mira’s face was full of confusion.
Vina Kana slowly asked,
"Did you not anticipate that these Divine beings would be so difficult to deal with?"
Seeing through her thoughts, Mira nodded slightly.
Vina Kana shook her head,
"You also misunderstood me."
Mira was slightly stunned.
Vina Kana turned her head and stepped forward.
With each step she ascended into mid-air, her figure gradually radiating the Holy Light, Vina Kana grasping the Longsword in her hand, its cold gleam reflecting against her tender face.
The Valkyrie moved, hoisting the Battle Shield in her hand, diving down from mid-air. The shield grew rapidly in size, tearing apart the surrounding air, chaotic airflows filled the sky, the booming like explosions, one after another.
Vina Kana’s eyes revealed a chill, as she raised the Longsword Sofia.
As the Valkyrie approached, the Battle Shield fell like an inverted mountain, its complicated patterns dispersing heavy pale mist. As it collided with the Longsword Sofia, the dense water vapor that exploded in the air was enough to recall the savagery of the Prehistoric Era.
When the mist dispersed, the Longsword Sofia radiated dazzling brilliance from within, its splendor like that of a silver crescent moon.
The huge, mountain-like shield of the Valkyrie was frozen mid-air by the Longsword, the disparity in their sizes, simply unimaginable.
The Valkyrie clenched her fist, striking the shield time after time, the enormous impact spreading across the shield. The Battle Shield vibrated continuously, heavy mist shaken from the patterns, as she attempted to crush Vina Kana with the weight and impact of the shield.
"Isaya."
Vina Kana spoke out.
As the Ancient Language of "destiny" was chanted, suddenly, the Valkyrie’s eyes widened, her hair wildly floating.
In a flash, their positions swapped; now, Vina Kana appeared above, descending from above, while the Valkyrie felt an overwhelming pressure from atop the shield.
It was as if... the punches meant to crush Vina Kana were now being applied to herself.
"What in the world..."
The Valkyrie’s words had not yet finished, when Vina Kana struck the very center of the Battle Shield with the hilt of the Longsword, as if it were the final straw that broke the camel’s back, the enormous shield overwhelmed the Valkyrie with its weight as she continuously fell until plunging into the eerie depths of the lake.
The pupils of the Head of the Six Gods constricted sharply.
That Ancient Language... seemed to have... the ability to manipulate cause and fate.
Who on earth bestowed such grace for this Ancient Language?
The Divine beings of the Celestial Kingdom all knew that the Ancient Language created by the father of the Gods was the medium for divine grace, and the source of Extraordinary Power was the original Star of the Divine beings.
However, the Head of the Six Gods had never heard of any Divine being who was the God of Destiny or that held the might to arrange fate...
Except...
The pupils of the Head of the Six Gods narrowed even more severely.
The Valkyrie let out an angry wail, but still she could not stop her falling momentum. At that moment, the God of the Mirror extended a helping hand, raising the Silver Mirror high to reflect the entire lake onto its surface. Then He reached out, attempting to grasp the Valkyrie falling into the lake.
Vina Kana would not give Him that opportunity.
She took a step in mid-air, instantly appearing before the God of the Mirror.
Within the Longsword Sofia, silver brilliance shook out from the blade, the Holy Sword emitting pale silver sword light, that light like thunder cleaving through the dark clouds, majestically surging forth.
The sword light swept past at an unimaginable speed.
Even as the God of the Mirror reacted in time, swiftly lifting the Silver Mirror to reflect the sweeping sword light.
However, that sword light was too vast.
The vastness... nearly drowned the heavens and earth in sight.
Mirrors naturally can refract the direction of light, but when the light covers the entire mirror, no amount of struggle avails.
The light from the sword engulfed the God of the Mirror, whose visage distorted hideously due to Sofia, attempted to conceal His form, to escape from within, but He was still a step too slow.
As the sword light subsided, the body of the God of the Mirror was ground into crumbs, with only His faint soul drifting in mid-air.
The God of the Mirror, fell.
Before other Divines could take the soul of the God of the Mirror back, the latter’s soul vanished without warning in mid-air, as if taken away by an invisible hand.
The Divines belatedly felt a chilling fear on their backs.
So our father... has been watching us all along?
The father resides above the Cloud Sea, far from the Celestial Kingdom, the vast distance beneath, prying into their desire to rebel against the Law, leading them to mistakenly believe all their actions were perfectly hidden.
Even until the arrival of Vina Kana, the Six Gods still thought they could clutch at straws for salvation, until this very moment, they finally realized their actions were not even a cornered beast’s struggle, but merely trying to catch a turtle in a jar.
"Isaya."
Vina Kana spoke again.
The Head of the Six Gods took a step forward, making a desperate last-ditch effort.
In His palm appeared a great sword forged of gold and dragon horn, which seemed both solid and shadowy, the shadow of the Sword of Victory created by the God of the Mirror; in an instant, the Head of the Six Gods raised His head, and the black robe enveloping Him tore apart in a flash, turning into a Giant Dragon that circled in mid-air.
At this moment, Mira recognized the identity of the Head of the Six Gods.
One of the first five Divines, Dragon God Endora.
Vina Kana turned her head to gaze at Endora, transformed into a Giant Dragon.
"It seems you are not the Dragon God I knew, but another."
Endora heard that cryptic phrase and did not respond; His dragon mouth opened wide, His throat swelled up to His esophagus, releasing a ground-shaking dragon roar, its after-waves stirring tumultuous waves on Festival Lake.
The vast, pale Fierce Flames nearly blanketed the sky.
Vina Kana stared directly at the approaching Dragon Breath, the majestic roar of the Dragon kindled her distant memories.
"Lomnar."
Vina Kana chanted in the Ancient Language, a phrase she learned from others, meaning "birth", able to revert one to an infantile state.
As the Ancient Language was cast, Endora’s massive body immediately shrank inward, regressing towards the Dragon’s juvenile stage, the deep black dragon scales began to soften and whitened, and the pale fierce flames from His mouth suddenly lost their potency.
In a timely manner, Vina Kana struck with her sword, and the vast silver sword light, like a landslide, split the oncoming pale fierce flames in two; sparks fell upon the surface of the lake, unceasingly burning, with no signs of extinguishing, as white smoke spread.
The sword light struck heavily upon Endora’s massive body, and instantly, under the effect of the Ancient Language, the fragile dragon scales began to shatter against the sword wind; Endora let out a roar of anger mixed with a pained wail.
Dragon God’s mighty wings fluttered incessantly, under the Divine Power of the other gods, and He momentarily escaped the weakening effect of the Ancient Language "Lomnar," pushing against the sword light to collide with Vina Kana, His hand’s shadow projected the Sword of Victory slashing down with all His might, accompanied by another deafening roar of the dragon language and immensely grand Dragon Breath.
Vina Kana lifted the Longsword Sofia, which burst forth with a Holy Light far surpassing any before, illuminating the entire gloomy underground space as if it were broad daylight, with the sword parting the dragon breath and striking directly at the projected Sword of Victory.
The clashing sounds whipped up countless waves, exploding into a huge storm, as the underground space and even the Bone Church quaked from the aftershocks, tearing open ferocious cracks, as if soon to collapse.
Clouds followed the storm, and the sword light from Vina Kana’s hand grew increasingly strong, her eyes shining with a golden luster, seemingly holding a Divinity not meant for mortals, the sword’s might pressing down from the sky; Endora’s hard dragon scales gradually broke apart within the windstorm, falling towards the lake waters.
As he could no longer withstand the impact of the sword light, Dragon God Endora began to retreat swiftly, but the sword light pursued, and amid the roaring, the Dragon God let out earsplitting screams.
Fresh red blood exploded from the struck wounds, and even though Dragon God Endora strained His terrible healing power, it was insufficient to mend such ferocious wounds.
Endora’s body trembled in mid-air, seemingly unable to endure the severe pain.
Vina Kana wouldn’t give Him a chance to beg for life; her figure swept up like a streak of light, reaching directly to Dragon God Endora’s wounded area, where she stabbed with both hands wielded sword.
Below the splash of a clear sound, the longsword pierced through the wound, and then silver light exploded from within, in an instant, blowing half of Endora’s body to smithereens.
Dragon God Endora quickly retreated, widening the distance from Vina Kana, his entire body bloodied and battered, utterly disheveled.
He raged, madness and brutality converging into a vortex of unwillingness; his vertical dragon eyes filled with hatred and pain as He howled like a madman, unable to accept the scenes unfolding before him, as ground beasts would.
Mira watched what unfolded before her eyes with disbelief.
She had thought that even with Vina Kana’s help, the Six Gods could suppress them for a while.
But she had never anticipated the situation to be so one-sided.
The Six Gods, severely wounded to death before the Saint of future generations, ended up so fragile; they struggled pitifully, not even a beast’s fight, but more like condemned criminals writhing in their shackles.
