Chapter 183 - 157 Ancient Elf Kingdom
Chapter 183: Chapter 157 Ancient Elf Kingdom
Prophetic God Kagawus had been watching that shattered Star closely as he left the Celestial Kingdom and headed towards the great lands beyond the Ancient Chaos.
Kagawus had witnessed the downfall of Slaier. As a divine being who destroyed the order of the Country of Divines, he was mercilessly executed.
"Stars fall to the Mortal World, transformed into dazzling gemstones, their brilliance sparkling, drawing the covetousness of many nations, and wars ensued; yet after passing through the hands of kings, the ultimate fate of those gemstones turned out inconceivable."
Prophetic God Kagawus stood in the Temple, softly chanting the Prophecy he once made.
He had prophesied about those three Prophecies; hence, he knew that the deceptions and trickeries of the god Slaier were linked to the Prophecy.
But Kagawus had never thought that Slaier was that very fallen star.
The Prophetic God walked to the depths where the Divine Statue stood and looked at the shattered statue of the god of deception and trickery.
"Slaier...your every act,
was it a miscalculation,
or was it a long-premeditated deliberate act?"
The downfall of Slaier fulfilled the prophecy of Kagawus.
Given Kagawus’s understanding of the god of deception and trickery, he knew that if Slaier intended to find loopholes in the contract, then no contract in this world could fully restrain Slaier.
Kagawus, recalling every word Slaier had said, was deeply enveloped in doubt.
But now, the god of deception and trickery had fallen, destroyed by the thunder of Divine King Shan’en.
Even with a thousand doubts, Prophetic God Kagawus could not fathom the whole truth.
Kagawus stood in the Temple, pacing round and round, lost in deep contemplation.
...
The wounds suffered by the Secretive God were extraordinary.
His Original Divine Power was severely damaged, an experience no other divine being in the Country of Divines, except for Kagawus who once prophesied the return of the main Prophetic God and the descent of Heaven, had undergone.
What added insult to injury for the gods was that among the stars, the star of medicine had not yet awakened its self-awareness.
It still orbited in its predetermined trajectory, and the civilizations of the mortals on earth were not advanced enough to awaken it.
Thus, the Gods could only rely on themselves, doing their utmost to mend the star of the Secretive God.
Mount and Craftsman God Hiris held the Divine Hammer and countless nails, pinning broken pieces of stone back onto the shattered grey star.
Hiris worked diligently and focused, sweating profusely while other divines displayed their powers, retrieving the scattered fragments of stars from the universe and handing them to Hiris.
Despite the gods’ best efforts to repair the star, in terms of enduring pain, the Secretive God could only rely on himself.
Prophetic God Kagawus arrived at the Temple of Hiris.
He walked straight to the back of the Temple and into the hidden courtyard.
There, the Forest God’s created green forest maidens attended to the gravely wounded Hiris.
Kagawus saw Hiris lying on a carpet full of fresh flowers, her feminine body wrapped in a robe, heaving violently.
Clearly, Hiris was being tormented by immense pain.
"Kagawus..."
The Secretive God Hiris detected the arrival of the Prophetic God.
The meticulous green forest maidens, after a moment, saw Hiris gesture for them to stop.
The maidens withdrew their hands and slowly stepped back.
"Kagawus, why have you come?"
"The inscrutable secretive...I came to see your injury," Kagawus spoke.
Yet from his eyes, the Secretive God captured a different vision.
"No, Kagawus, that’s not the only reason."
Hiris paused, then continued:
"With the friendship between us, speak frankly."
The gods acquainted with the Secretive God were few, and in the vast expanses of the Celestial Kingdom, if it weren’t for the earth-shattering crimes of the god of deception and trickery, most gods might not even know of Hiris’s existence.
And Kagawus was one of Hiris’s rare friends.
Hearing Hiris’s question, the Prophetic God took a deep breath.
"Hiris, the one who hurt you, Slaier,
he was a Subordinate God I chose, like my own son.
All of this was my fault."
She gazed directly at Kagawus and said softly,
"I know, Kagawus, I am the God of Secrecy, and I will not bear a grudge against you.
But I no longer have the strength to sustain any of the barriers."
After a pause, the Prophetic God nodded slightly.
Kagawus fell silent, his brow furrowed as if pondering something.
"Are you confused?"
She discerned Kagawus’ confusion.
"Yes, She."
"Just like the day the Divine King visited me."
Kagawus caught on to something and looked up, asking in surprise,
"What?"
She and Prophetic God Kagawus casually spoke,
"Just like the great Divine King,
He contemplated and understood the God of Arrogant Lies and Deceits."

Upon the earth,
Noen and his companions saw the dense fog suddenly disappear, leaving no trace.
Sunlight poured down from above, making the path before them clear and bright, starkly different from before.
The group watched in disbelief as the dense fog suddenly lifted.
Then, they realized what had happened and burst into excited cheers.
After a long wait, this group finally received their reward.
Amidst the cheering, Noen remained unaffected.
He looked straight up at the sky.
Soon after, Noen saw a faint purple glow streak across the sky, a star in its descent.
"What’s wrong, Noen?"
Casas approached Noen, having noticed his lack of cheer, and asked.
"Nothing... Casas, nothing..."
Noen took a deep breath and said softly,
"Lord, allow me to praise Him, praise the God of Honesty and Covenant."
After a brief celebration,
The group remembered the instructions Slaier had given before he left.
The group pushed aside the leaves blocking their path, stepped over piles of fallen leaves, and walked straight into the depths of the forest.
After countless days and nights, they were finally able to step into the legendary Ancient Elf Kingdom, into the distant homeland of the Stone Slaves.
Joy squeezed their hearts, even Baird was infected by their emotions, showing a genuine smile.
In this dense forest, Noen and his companions moved forward. With the fog cleared, they no longer felt as if they were going in circles; instead, each step they took was confident.
The patience eroded by time gradually returned to their spirits.
This time, the group slowly approached the path leading to the Ancient Elf Kingdom through the forest.
Another two weeks passed.
The fog was no more,
Nor was the gloom in their hearts.
Noen, in the height of summer, took a step forward, a young man stretching out his hand to push aside the branches that obscured their path.
And then...
An ancient kingdom, lost for three thousand years, appeared before everyone.
Tears streamed down their faces.
"We’ve finally... come home."
Thus,
A race lost for three thousand years returned to their homeland.
