Chapter 71: Chapter 71 The Little Fortune Star Zhi’er in the Human World
The money earned was too much, and it was in silver notes.
So Bai Zhi’er asked her brother to exchange them into small pieces of silver at the bank.
When Bai Yaoyu came back, the little one took a bag of silver pieces and trotted over to the vegetable stall opposite.
The couple had just been watching in amazement as the little one quickly sold out all the potatoes.
They were so astonished they didn’t even know what to say.
They could only stare blankly as Bai Zhi’er took out the broken silver with her small hands.
"Um, originally I agreed with uncle and auntie that we would split the money we earned, but we made a lot today."
"So, on top of what I was supposed to give you, I’ll add two taels more!"
The couple nodded repeatedly, "Thank you, young lady."
Even their address for her changed.
The little one in front of them was certainly very lucky!
Bai Zhi’er counted the broken silver piece by piece, placing each one into the couple’s hands as she counted.
Passersby couldn’t help but be drawn to the scene.
What they saw was a three-year-old little child dressed in splendid clothes.
Generously handing out a lot of silver, as if buying vegetables.
Given how the little one looked and dressed so finely, she must be from a powerful family!
If she could come to buy these vegetables, it meant this stall’s vegetables must be the best on the street!
Otherwise, why would it attract such a noble customer?
Before anyone realized, there were more customers in front of the stall.
The stall-owning couple was busy collecting money continuously.
After Bai Zhi’er finished giving the bonus, she still stood by to help the couple bag vegetables.
Bai Yaoyu watched as the vegetables quickly sold out after his sister arrived.
In the end, there were only two potatoes left.
The stall-owning couple was very grateful to Bai Zhi’er.
They believed it was her presence that attracted so many customers.
So, they packed up the remaining potatoes and handed them to Bai Zhi’er.
Smiling, the couple said, "There’s not much left, these are home-grown potatoes, very tasty. Take them home, young lady, and try them."
Bai Zhi’er nodded obediently, not refusing out of politeness, "Thank you, uncle and auntie, see you!"
She waved her little hand and turned to trot back to Bai Yaoyu.
The couple happily packed up their stall.
Today, not only did they sell out all their vegetables, but they also made a big profit!
The potatoes that were usually ignored suddenly became popular.
What a miracle!
Bai Zhi’er hugged Bai Yaoyu’s arm, looking up with big, bright, and dark eyes.
"Brother, now that we have money, take Zhi Bao to have some tea and food, I’m hungry."
Bai Yaoyu looked down and saw his sister’s little face, red from the cold, and his heart ached.
He picked up Bai Zhi’er and headed to the teahouse, "Today, whatever Zhi’er wants to eat, brother will buy for you."
The siblings entered the teahouse, where there weren’t many guests.
The little one saw the kind middle-aged man from before, busy counting with an abacus behind the counter.
"Uncle!" Bai Zhi’er smiled sweetly, holding up two soft little fingers, "Please bring us two cups of hot tea."
The man looked up to see the cute, clever little girl and smiled as he walked over.
"Did you and your brother sell out the potatoes?"
Bai Zhi’er’s soft voice was filled with joy, revealing small white teeth, "Yes, thanks to uncle’s good start, the potatoes sold out quickly!"
"So, I want a plate of snacks too," the little one said, placing her small hand on the table.
A piece of broken silver caught the eye.
The man laughed heartily, "I’ll only charge for the tea, the snacks are on the house for you two."
He took the silver and left, returning a bit later with some change in copper coins.
