Chapter 81: Two Demons

Leo and the Demon traded more blows as neither would dodge. They looked at each other like wild animals. He wouldn’t let his enemy see his weakness, causing him to ignore his injuries.

When the Demon’s fist hit his ribs, he retaliated with a headbutt that rocked the enemy’s world. His body was aching, but he wasn’t giving up on the fight as they continued punching each other in a game of chicken.

’He wants to wear me out! The sneaky fucker,’ Leo thought as he hit the Demon with a powerful combo to the chin and chest.

The impact unleashed shockwaves that rippled through the battlefield, hurling both through the air. Gritting his teeth, Leo twisted mid-flight, channeling his power into another California Smash.

Thanks to the force, he could land on two feet just as the female Demon rushed forward with blood pouring from her face. He grinned before meeting her charge with his shoulder while thinking, ’Let’s end this!’

Leo sent the woman crashing to the ground with a sickening thud as the male appeared and landed a punch to his jaw. He felt something snap, causing pain to run through his body as he flew backward.

Following this, he gritted his teeth when coming to a stop, as the two Demons started running toward him. With a chuckle, he spammed Thunderbolts and Fireballs at the enemies, causing explosions to ring just as something took out the female.

’Finally! I summoned you at the beginning girls,’ he spoke to the monster, who screeched in response.

She screamed as the Blood Griffin pierced her body with its claws and soared into the sky. This scene shocked the male, who stopped moving, giving Leo enough time to get close and hit him with a Supernova Punch.

When the attack connected, an explosion erupted with sent the Demon flying back as blood rained down. Leo glanced up, only to see the second enemy falling toward him. With a chuckle, he shot up and hit her with the same punch.

A loud boom rang out as she was sent flying even higher, only to be struck by the Griffin, who was passing by, and sent crashing into the ground below. Leo looked for the male Demon and found him trying to get up.

’There you are, now let’s kill you and go rest,’ he thought with an excited smile. ’I’m hurting all over.’

Blood covered his foe’s body, but that’s when he noticed the man had taken out something and started drinking it. Leo watched as the Demon’s body morphed into something nightmarish that caused him to step back.

’’Oh shit, he’s got stronger. This might go bad,’’ he muttered while readying his spells.

While looking at the Demon, a swarm of monsters rushed out of the nearby which took Leo by surprise. He quickly cast Doomwave, which killed most of the creatures, but some still jumped on him.

Without thinking, he started punching out, causing the attackers to be blown apart as another scream echoed through the forest. Leo looked over only to see the male Demon pouring something down the female’s throat.

His eyes widened when a powerful aura washed out of her and slammed into his body, which sent him stumbling back. He shook his head and noticed both enemies were charging at him now.

’Oh, for fuck’s sake, this isn’t getting any better,’ Leo thought while killing the remaining monsters and bracing himself for the two Demons.

Seconds later, the male arrived and started casting a spell, but Leo moved in and landed a Supernova Punch that sent him skidding back. That’s when the female struck his chest and sent him crashing into a nearby hill.

Leo lay buried in a crater as his head rang. ’They’ve got even stronger. This is going to be harder than I expected,’ he thought while climbing out of the hole.

His body hurt, but he ignored it while noticing the Demons charging in his direction. He saw their glowing red eyes filled with rage. Leo chuckled before spamming Thunderbolts at the two while meeting them head-on.

The male closed the distance in a blur, its monstrous fist hurtling at him like a wrecking ball. Leo dropped low, the wind from the strike rushing over him, and retaliated with a Supernova Punch.

His fist ignited with blinding mana as it drove into the Demon’s gut with earth-shattering force. A clap echoed through the battlefield as the impact launched the enemy like a missile, crashing into the female with the force.

Seconds later, a powerful spell struck Leo, leaving him with no chance to defend himself. He felt his skin burn and sizzle. He gritted his teeth before hitting a tree, which brought it crashing down.

Leo crashed to the ground with a sickening thud, the impact rattling through his entire body. Gritting his teeth, he forced himself to move, shaking his head as his vision blurred and darkened.

He could feel his Regeneration kicking in, trying to heal his wounds, but something was wrong. The healing stalled, leaving him vulnerable. As the thought flashed through his mind, ’Fuck, what’s going on?’

Several more spells hit Leo after that, sending him skidding backward, but the pain tore through his body. This time around he cast Mana Barrier that blocked the other incoming attacks.

Explosions erupted all around him, each detonation pounding his battered body with relentless shockwaves. The force overwhelmed his regeneration, halting its efforts and amplifying the searing pain coursing through him.

Through the chaos, Leo caught sight of the female Demon hurtling toward him, her razor-sharp claws gleaming with lethal intent. She swiped and the tips grazing his skin and leaving thin, burning marks.

But he was faster and leaned back just enough to avoid the claws. Leo gritted his teeth before retaliating with a Supernova Punch, the force launching her through the air like a comet.

Without a moment’s hesitation, he unleashed a fully charged Thunderbolt at the Demon, engulfing her in a blinding blue explosion that ripped her apart, obliterating the enemy’s existence.
