"Okay," she could only agree.

She didn’t know what Madam Rong wanted with her and felt somewhat uneasy.

That evening, when Rong Shaoze returned, Lin Xinlan did not tell him about the call from Madam Rong.

Rong Shaoze seemed to have forgotten the day’s unpleasantness; his expression was normal. As soon as he came back, he wrapped his arms around her waist and gave her a kiss.
