Nine Yang Alchemy Emperor
Chapter 29 The Biting Louse

Chapter 29: Chapter 29 The Biting Louse

Chief Luo was somewhat terrified; he had never seen Chu Jianlan look so frightening before.

Even, he could feel the arrival of the Grim Reaper.

"Jian Lan, don’t be impulsive!" The sister-in-law hurriedly held back the elder brother who wanted to kill.

Chief Luo’s muddy and sly eyes rolled, and he straightened his spine again.

"Eldest Prince, please quell your anger, this humble one has important matters to report!" Chief Luo justified his explanation with great conviction.

"What is it?" The senior brother’s voice was ice-cold.

"The mare kept in the manor, for some reason, has suddenly become restlessly wild!" Chief Luo’s gaze stealthily fixed on the young girl on the sickbed. A smug and cold smile unfurled on his face.

"Just for such a trivial matter, you claim it’s important?" Chu Jianlan, no matter how good his temper, could no longer endure. This old fellow was clearly babbling nonsense.

He suddenly rushed at Chief Luo and delivered a flying kick right into Chief Luo’s chest.

And sent him flying.

"Get lost! If you dare offend your master or intrude into a place you shouldn’t again, it won’t be as simple as just a kick!" Chu Jianlan shouted fiercely.

Chief Luo got up, and in a most sorry state, hurried off with several evil slaves; in the blink of an eye, they had fled without a trace.

Believing that with this lesson, it should be enough for this arrogant old thing to rein in a bit.

Having driven away Chief Luo and his men, the elder brother gradually calmed down.

"Third brother, can you really obtain the life-saving elixir from the academy’s teachers?" Chu Jianlan faintly felt that his younger brother was somewhat different from before.

He had been engulfed in grief, panic, and helplessness, and had no mind to care about other things.

Now recalling the remarkable performances of Chu Feng, he couldn’t help but look at Chu Feng in amazement.

"Saving a life is more meritorious than building a seven-tiered pagoda! I believe the teachers of the academy would not stand idly by!" Chu Feng could only keep up with his lie to the end.

An elixir that can reconnect the Heart Meridian is not high-grade, but the recipe is rare and difficult to craft.

Even the president of the Alchemy Academy would likely find it difficult to successfully concoct it.

Apart from Chu Feng, the Eternal Life Pill Master himself, it’s doubtful anyone else has the capability.

"How about I accompany you there?" Chu Jianlan was still worried.

"No need, no need, senior brother should guard our second sister well, or perhaps accompany sister-in-law to borrow the treasure to Suppress Sword Qi!" Chu Feng was greatly startled, and swiftly waved his hands in refusal.

If Chu Jianlan were to follow him, it would certainly give the game away.

...

At this moment, as the sky was getting dark, Chu Feng left the Sword King Mansion and hurried towards the Medicine Guild’s Hall.

Fortunately, he had subdued Niu Baotian and gained access to a free Alchemy Room.

Just as he was going out, Chu Feng’s eyes narrowed, shooting out bursts of cold light. He saw Chief Luo swaggering into Prince Liu Mansion across the street.

"This traitorous old bastard will be killed by me one day!" Chu Feng almost didn’t need to guess.

Chief Luo must have run to Prince Liu Mansion to report the accident with the closed meditation of the second sister.

To be an inside betrayer to such a brazen extent is not just arrogance but regarding Sword King Mansion as nothing.

Now is not the time to settle scores with this old bastard; saving my second sister is crucial.

Chu Feng walked briskly towards the Medicine Hall.

Before long, he realized someone was watching him from behind.

"F*ck, it must be some evil slave from the mansion tracking me!" Chu Feng reached the alley ahead and suddenly quickened his pace. Reaching the corner, his figure vanished in a flash.

By the time he got to the hovel where beggars huddled, there were no beggars inside.

Chu Feng sneered and took out a small red porcelain bottle from his bosom, then tiptoed to swiftly sprinkle some at the entrance of the hovel.

This was the itching powder he had prepared.

If this evil slave dared to surveil him, he should be ready for bad luck.

Chu Feng’s figure flashed, hiding behind the hovel.

Soon, someone was following up from behind.

Upon close inspection, it was indeed a servant from the Sword King Mansion. This man was named Luo Mao, a relative of Chief Luo, whom Chief Luo had managed to get a position in the mansion.

Luo Mao was definitely one of Chief Luo’s trusted confidants. He wasn’t as arrogant as Chief Luo in his daily affairs in the Sword King Mansion, but he was still quite domineering.

"Hey, that waste runs pretty fast! Vanished in the blink of an eye!" Once Luo Mao pursued into the alley, he couldn’t find Chu Feng.

He instinctively checked his surroundings and soon noticed the beggar’s hovel, his eyes lighting up slightly as a cold smile appeared on his face.

"Third Prince, I know you’re hiding inside! Come out!" Luo Mao sneered as he approached the hovel.

He thought to himself that Chu Feng, the waste, still wanted to play such childish tricks on him.

The inside of the hovel remained eerily quiet, without any movement.

A sinister smile spread across Luo Mao’s face. As he reached the entrance of the hovel, he abruptly grabbed the curtain and lifted it.

A pale yellow dust immediately burst forth, covering Luo Mao from head to toe.

"So damn dirty!" Luo Mao couldn’t help frowning and covering his nose, waving his hands to dispel the dust repeatedly.

He felt itchiness on his face and neck, but didn’t think much of it, and bent down to look inside the hovel.

"Damn, why is there no one?" Luo Mao, with a face full of dust, had lost track of Chu Feng yet again and felt extremely frustrated. Moreover, the itching on his face and neck was getting worse.

The itching also started to spread to his scalp, arms, and various other places.

"F*ck their mothers, these beggars’ hovels must be breeding lice. Must be when I flipped that curtain, they flew onto me!" Luo Mao started to scratch frantically, shaking his clothes constantly.

Trying to shake off those ’lice’ completely.

However, it was in vain, the more he scratched, the itchier it became, and it spiraled out of control.

"Luo Mao, did you call me, Prince, for something?" Chu Feng stood up from behind the hovel and asked with a sarcastic smile.

"Ah... you, you really didn’t leave!" Luo Mao was shocked by Chu Feng suddenly emerging. Now, as dusk fell, for someone like Luo Mao who had done many bad deeds, the thing he feared the most was the mythical ghosts.

"If it’s nothing, I will be on my way!" Chu Feng was seriously about to leave.

Luo Mao immediately followed, still absurdly scratching the itch, growing fiercer with his movements.

"Third Prince, it’s so late and Chief Luo is concerned for your safety when you’re alone. Hence, he dispatched me to follow you, to protect you in case of any danger." Luo Mao casually lied.

"Sure! Just keep following me!"

"Ouch, your face, your arms, why do you have so many red bumps? They seem very itchy!"

Chu Feng exclaimed with surprise as if he had just noticed.

"It’s a bit itchy! F*ck, all because of that beggar’s hovel teeming with lice that got on me." Right now Luo Mao only felt his heart was itchy, as if countless bugs were nibbling on him.

That feeling, extremely painful, made one wish to tear off their skin and flesh, to gouge out their insides.
