Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts -
Chapter 6103 Endless Mysteries
Chapter 6103 Endless Mysteries
Long Chen stood silently before the spatial channel. Spiritual qi continued to surge from it like a tide, but an invisible force barred Long Chen’s path forward.
In Long Chen’s mind, images of those devil ants surfaced. After all, this barrier exuded a dark, sinister energy far more insidious than anything he had encountered before. The barrier’s laws were different—deeper and darker than the spatial laws within the necropolis.
“Mom, can you see if you can break it?” Long Chen asked, turning to his mother.
Army Breaker buzzed. Frost energy surged forth, and a black gate slowly emerged from the void. Black flames danced around the gate.
However, Army Breaker couldn’t open this gate. Even as Luo Ningshuang unleashed her full power, she couldn’t leave a mark on this black gate.
“It’s useless,” said Long Zhantian. “This gate is the one the heaven whale opened just before its death. Once sealed, there’s no going back. To open it again would likely require the power of a Divine Sovereign.”
Long Chen exhaled and closed his eyes, trying to calm his spirit. He reached out with his Spiritual Strength, seeking resonance with the world beyond the gate.
“Great nine star heir...”
Just then, a trace of divine sense entered Long Chen’s mind, shocking him. It was that familiar voice he usually heard in his dreams.
“Die!”
A thunderous roar echoed from afar.
All of a sudden, Long Chen’s spiritual sea convulsed violently. Pain lanced through his skull like lightning as a black sword stabbed into his mind-sea.
Long Chen was shocked. This was a spiritual attack unlike anything he’d ever encountered. The black sword pulsed with killing intent. But in that instant, the Divine Gate within his mind-sea burst open. A golden sword shot forth, clashing against the black blade.
BOOM!
Long Chen grunted in pain and clutched his head. It felt like his brain was being torn apart. As the black lightning exploded, each blast sent waves of pain crashing through him.
The Divine Gate trembled. More golden swords flew out, shredding the black lightning. Though victorious, the explosions still left Long Chen’s soul battered.
Thousands of blasts echoed within. He nearly lost consciousness.
Eventually, the storm settled. Long Chen’s face was twisted with pain. He didn’t even know who had attacked him, let alone what cultivation realm they possessed.
Long Chen had merely tried to respond to that mysterious voice—only to be ambushed. That strike had been terrifyingly fast and precise, as though it had pierced through space itself.
If not for his formidable Spiritual Strength and the defenses of his own mind-sea, Long Chen would have died on the spot.
“Chen-er, are you alright?!” Luo Ningshuang cried out in alarm.
She had sensed the attack but couldn’t intervene. If she were to rashly help him with her Spiritual Strength, it would only make things worse for him.
“I’m fine. I was careless and walked into a trap,” Long Chen said, forcing a smile as he held her hand.
Luo Ningshuang gradually calmed down, but she could tell that her son’s soul was injured.
She was burning with questions, but remembering Long Zhantian’s warning, she swallowed her questions.
Luo Ningshuang gently rubbed Long Chen’s temples. A stream of soft Spiritual Strength entered his mind-sea, soothing the turbulence within. After a while, his head stopped hurting so bad.
Feeling his mother’s gentle fingertips, Long Chen smiled. “Mom, your Spiritual Strength is truly strong.”
“But of course,” said Long Zhantian with a chuckle. “The violet blood race’s rarest Heavenly Fate Divine Blood is known to govern all Daos. It's not called omnipotent for nothing.”
“Who told you to answer?” Luo Ningshuang blushed and glared at her husband.
Long Chen grinned. “Well, Dad’s amazing too. I mean, even this so-called omnipotent Heavenly Fate Divine Blood was conquered by y—aiya, Mom, that hurts!”
“You smelly brat, who raised you to be so rude to your elders? You even dare to tease your own mother?” Luo Ningshuang twisted his ear.
“Doesn’t that make it seem like we have no generation gap? After all, you’re so young and beautiful, Mom!”
“Hmph, you better watch that slippery tongue. No girl’s going to like you.”
Long Chen laughed. “Times have changed, Mom. Girls love slippery tongues now! I’ve got lots of women, and they all love me!”
“Keep bragging,” she scoffed, clearly unconvinced.
Long Chen was speechless. But when he thought of his father’s character, it seemed that his mother truly wasn’t fond of silver-tongued sweet-talkers. No wonder she didn’t believe other women would either.
Thanks to Luo Ningshuang’s support—and their shared violet blood—Long Chen’s Spiritual Strength recovered quickly. Within two hours, he was back to eighty percent.
Long Zhantian, on the other hand, had only recovered to thirty percent. After all, his Spiritual Strength was unique and had to be restored using his own methods. Even Luo Ningshuang couldn’t help him.
Worried about exhausting his mother too much, Long Chen asked her to stop once he was mostly recovered.
He returned to the passageway. But this time, he didn’t dare to extend his senses.
The voice that had spoken to him in his dreams was actually from that giant black star? What was hidden inside that world?
Why had the heaven whale chosen to pour all its energy into the giant star before dying? According to legend, it should’ve returned its body to the entire starry sky, allowing the cosmos to share its essence.
Instead, it poured everything into this strange world.
Then those devil creatures came to repair the spatial passageway. But if they wanted to seal it, why leave an exit? Those devil creatures had low intelligence, so someone—or something—had to be commanding them.
But who? Who was controlling them?
Long Chen’s mind spun with questions.
The mysterious voice had tried to contact Long Chen again. But some powerful presence had cut it off and launched a deadly sneak attack. If not for the Divine Gate in his mind-sea, he would be dead.
Just what kind of existence had that level of power?
Who exactly was the bladeseer? Why had he guided Long Chen step by step? What was his true goal?
Long Chen felt like his head might explode. He hated being used.
Perhaps the Earth Cauldron knew the answers to his questions, but it was still in a deep slumber.
Evilmoon offered to slash it awake, but Long Chen stopped it. Even if it worked, the Earth Cauldron probably wouldn’t be willing to speak. Long Chen could only move forward—one step at a time.
“Chen-er, mark this place. We need to be able to find it again. We’re leaving,” said Long Zhantian, standing up with a calm voice.
Only then did Long Chen realize he had been standing before the gate for an entire day and night.
“Leave?” he echoed, startled.
Luo Ningshuang’s heart trembled, while the Lei family’s experts nearly cheered in excitement. They were so ecstatic, looking like they would break into dance.
