Chapter 484: The Pale White Coffin

Chapter 484: Chapter 484: The Pale White Coffin

Beneath the invisible whirlwind condensed around Shi Feng’s figure, in the Dark Space, the haphazardly fluttering pale soul bodies suddenly began to rush uncontrollably towards Shi Feng like a swarm of locusts crossing the land.

"Ah!" Seeing the dense Yin Souls, Shi Jinsuai was startled, spreading his palms open. Rows of golden coins jumped continuously in the palms of his hands, making a rhythmic "clattering" sound.

Shi Jinsuai was already prepared to launch an attack.

At this moment, Shi Feng understood Shi Jinsuai’s intention and hurriedly extended his hand, stopping him, and said, "Don’t move!"

Hearing Shi Feng’s words and seeing his action, Shi Jinsuai looked at Shi Feng somewhat confused, but then he clenched his hands, retracting the golden coins he was ready to launch.

Following that, the densely packed Yin Souls shooting toward them approached in front of Shi Feng, and "Aaaahhh!" wails of agony echoed incessantly, as one soul after another shattered in the invisible whirlpool before Shi Feng, devoured by his Soul Power.

Shi Feng reveled in the sensation of his Soul Power increasing, while Shi Jinsuai stood beside him, looking at Shi Feng with a slight shock, watching the Evil Ghosts fly towards him. As they approached Shi Feng, they resembled moths flying into flames, their pallid faces twisted with extreme pain and with piercing howls, then shattered.

"This young man, the more I watch, the more he seems like the nemesis of Evil Ghosts," Shi Jinsuai murmured to himself, watching the Evil Ghosts shatter one by one and seeing the smile at the corner of Shi Feng’s mouth. Then, he completely relaxed.

With Shi Feng here, it seemed there was no need for him to take action anymore.

Not long after, under the invisible whirlpool of Soul Power, the entire deck that was once filled with flying Evil Ghosts now lay utterly silent, leaving no ghost behind.

Having devoured the Soul Power of approximately a few thousand Evil Ghosts, Shi Feng could sense that his Soul Power had already entered the late stages of the Seventh-stage Venerable Level, just a step away from the Eighth-stage Saint-level.

For Shi Feng, the gains this time were incredibly substantial.

"Alright! Let’s head to the next level," Shi Feng said, looking towards Shi Jinsuai.

"Uh..." Shi Jinsuai came back to his senses from his previous contemplation and uttered a sound of acknowledgment before nodding his head. He turned around, eyes directed towards the passageway behind him where there was also a staircase leading to the next level.

Shi Feng’s gaze also moved away from Shi Jinsuai’s face to the staircase in the passageway; below was the bottommost level, the place where the mysterious cold current swept up from. There, he would soon find out what exactly existed.

Then, Shi Feng was the first to move forward, stepping into the passageway with Shi Jinsuai still following behind him.

As they delved deeper, they gradually felt a chill gust of air hit them in the face. Before even reaching the next level, the temperature felt worlds apart compared to just moments ago.

Shi Jinsuai inhaled once, feeling the air fill his lungs with an icy chill.

Even Shi Feng felt that the area on the bottom level would be extraordinary. This intense yin sensation—could it be there was an Extreme Yin Treasure or an icy creature present?

Shi Feng felt a mix of anticipation and solemnity. Since the appearance of the strange beast from ancient times, the Two-headed Demon Hound, on the Ghost Ship, it was highly possible that there were powerful ancient beings residing below. On the other hand, it was equally likely that treasures from the Ancient Times might appear.

"Pat pat! Pat pat!" Two light sounds echoed as Shi Feng and Shi Jinsuai stepped into the lowest level of the cabin. An even colder breath wafted towards them from the vast darkness ahead.

"Brother Shi, look at that!" Shi Jinsuai pointed straight at the heart of the darkness, saying to Shi Feng.

"That is!" Shi Feng didn’t need Shi Jinsuai’s direction; he had already noticed the object: a rectangular form, entirely pallid in color, "This is a coffin!"

The pallid object was indeed in the shape of a coffin.

"A coffin!" Hearing Shi Feng’s words, Shi Jinsuai also let out an exclamation of surprise as he too recognized the shape of a coffin.

Both of them could clearly feel the cold chill emanating from this coffin.

"Let’s go take a look," Shi Feng said, then started walking step by step towards the coffin.

"Right!" Shi Jinsuai’s face grew more serious after seeing the coffin. He nodded and walked with Shi Feng, ready to react at any moment should the situation turn dire, to either defend or retreat immediately.

"Bang! Bang!" Suddenly, just as Shi Feng and Shi Jinsuai had taken a few steps, the air in front of them rippled with a wave-like distortion. A mysterious and strange power emerged, and the two men were sent flying backward.

"Bang! Bang!" Two muffled thuds resounded as Shi Feng and Shi Jinsuai crashed heavily onto the ground.

"Damn it!" Shi Feng flipped over and leaped up from the ground, staring intently ahead.

Shi Jinsuai also moved swiftly, flipping over and turning his head to ask Shi Feng, "What was that power just now?"

"There must be a barrier ahead. This Ghost Ship, if I’m not mistaken, is probably a tomb for someone buried here," Shi Feng replied.

"A tomb? Using a ship as a tomb?" Shi Jinsuai exclaimed in surprise. Using a ship as a tomb was certainly unheard of.

"It’s just a guess, I don’t know for sure!" Shi Feng said, and then continued, "I’ll take another look and see if I can break the barrier. I want to open this coffin and see what kind of thing is lying inside."

After finishing his words, Shi Feng ignored Shi Jinsuai and again walked towards the front. When he reached the area that triggered the dark ripple before, he immediately stopped and stretched out his hand, reaching slowly towards it.

As soon as Shi Feng touched the area they had been in moments before, the wave-like ripples in the darkness surged again. Suddenly, another mysterious force struck Shi Feng’s hand hard, knocking it back, and pain surged through Shi Feng’s hand.

"I refuse to believe it, the mere barrier of a dead man, can’t be broken by me!" Shi Feng’s face showed a look of defiance, and a sudden flash of ghostly white light appeared on his right hand. A twisted, ghostly white character emerged in the palm of his hand.
