Nine Nether Heavenly Emperor
Chapter 25: Soul Possession

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Soul Possession

"Seeking death!" Yang Zhong roared in anger, launching a Vajra Forceful Fist at Shi Feng’s chest. Had Shi Feng been just an ordinary civilian and had the punch landed solidly, it would have shattered his internal organs, at the very least causing paralysis and lifelong disability, or at worst, inflicting excruciating, heartrending pain until death.

This punch was incredibly brutal and malicious. Had it been a regular person on the receiving end, their life would have been ruined by this single blow.

"Brother Yang Zhong, hit him!" Li Ru, standing behind Yang Zhong, saw him attack on her behalf and, with a radiant smile, joyfully cheered.

Shi Feng remained unfazed, his expression as serene as a gentle breeze and floating clouds; his left hand opened in what appeared to be a very casual, seemingly effortless manner, slowly pushing forward.

However, with that seemingly casual, feeble, and slow palm, Shi Feng caught Yang Zhong’s fierce and violent punch as if it was nothing and immediately contracted his five fingers, gripping Yang Zhong’s fist in his hand.

"Ah!" A heart-wrenching cry like the squeal of a pig came from Yang Zhong’s mouth.

Yang Zhong felt a tremendous force on his fist, threatening to crush it to pieces. At this moment, the composure of a skilled martial artist had left him entirely, and the excruciating pain twisted his face into a monstrous, frenzied snarl as he roared in agony.

"Let... let go of me, I... am a member of the Wang Family of Moon City, could it be... could it be that you... want to be enemies with the Wang... Wang Family!" Yang Zhong, in so much pain that he had doubled over, pulled rank and invoked the name of the Wang Family.

"Hmph!" Upon hearing the name of the Wang Family, Shi Feng’s smirk grew wider, and he let out a cold chuckle, "Hai Batian himself was killed by me, and even the plump members of the Wang Family would step aside out of respect when they see me, let alone you, who are nothing more than a dog of the Wang Family." As he spoke, Shi Feng increased the strength in his grasp even more.

"Ah ah ah ah ah!" Yang Zhong’s agonized screams echoed again and again.

Meanwhile, Li Ru was completely stunned. She stared blankly at the scene unfolding before her eyes. The man squatting on the ground, emitting those pitiful screams, was he the unbeatable Brother Yang Zhong in her mind?

And the person with the wicked smile on his face, causing Yang Zhong to cry out in pain, was that the poor young man of the Shi Family whom she had looked down upon, and ruthlessly rejected not long ago?

Li Ru felt as though the world had suddenly become unreal; she even doubted whether this moment was all just a ludicrous dream.

Shi Feng coldly watched Yang Zhong, his right hand forming a fist, and with a Vajra Fist of equal force, he struck back at Yang Zhong’s chest.

"Who are you, sir! How dare you bully my disciple!" Suddenly, an elderly and hoarse voice resounded, seemingly coming from within Yang Zhong.

It even felt like a vast power was rapidly climbing within Yang Zhong’s body.

Shi Feng hurriedly withdrew his fist, and the hand that was gripping Yang Zhong’s fist also quickly released and backpedaled rapidly until he was seven or eight meters away before stopping, watching intently ahead.

At that moment, a strong gale began to whirl around Yang Zhong, leaves, dead branches, and pebbles from the road were picked up by the fierce wind, swirling chaotically around him.

"Insect, for insulting my disciple, you shall be obliterated." Yang Zhong spoke, and the voice that emerged was the elder, hoarse one from before. As soon as the words fell, a giant sword, made up of air currents and the size of a door panel, suddenly condensed above Shi Feng and furiously slashed down toward him on the ground.

"Damn it!" Shi Feng cursed silently, quickly employing his movement technique. His right foot stomped heavily on the ground— "Boom!" The impact produced a low explosive sound as his body swiftly shot backward.

"Boom!" The giant sword slammed into the ground, creating a loud roar. The spot where Shi Feng had just been standing was immediately blasted into a huge pit, with stones flying everywhere and dust billowing into the air.

Amidst a swath of dense white dust, a white figure floated out.

Yes, floated. Yangg Zhong’s feet were about half a meter off the ground as his body hovered in the void, drifting out from the thick white dust.

"Old bastard, so it was a Dao Soul!" Staring at Yangg Zhong suspended in mid-air, Shi Feng shouted coldly, "Old bastard, let’s see how long you can maintain this possession state!"

A soul, or more specifically, the spirit form after human death, usually would disperse into the cosmos upon a person’s death.

However, some individuals had unique spirits or powerful ones, or had learned mysterious Soul Secret Methods, allowing them to continue existing in a soul state after death.

The Yangg Zhong before Shi Feng was currently possessed by a soul, and the aura emanating from Yangg Zhong assured Shi Feng that this soul had been no ordinary being in life.

Nevertheless, this state of spirit possession was extremely damaging to the body. Yangg Zhong might have been a Martial Artist with a stronger physique than an average person, but compared to true Body Refinement specialists, he was still much weaker.

If this possession state continued for much longer and he used Martial Skills that exceeded the limits of his physique, Yangg Zhong’s muscles and veins were likely to explode, his Dantian shattered, resulting in an explosive death.

"Die!" The soul inside Yangg Zhong seemed to rage from being seen through by Shi Feng, roaring angrily as his right hand lifted, forming a colossal Handprint made of air currents instantaneously above Shi Feng’s head. It was three to four times larger than the previous giant sword, slamming down ferociously towards Shi Feng.

The might of it seemed as though everything would be crushed into dust under this one palm.

"Damn it! Again!" Shi Feng cursed silently, once more using his movement technique, stomping on the ground with his right foot, his body violently shooting backward.

But unlike the previous giant sword, as Shi Feng moved, the Handprint still targeted him and continued to slash downward at an angle.

Shi Feng steadied his stance and raised his head, with a thought, a vicious Earth Stab burst from the ground, tearing through the earth and rising up to meet the descending Handprint.

"Dark Evil!" With a low shout, a white figure shot out from the ground. Dark Evil surged towards the air, his right hand forming a fist, and his right fist also blasted towards the Handprint.

At this moment, the Blood-colored Longsword was also in Shi Feng’s hand, "Nine Nether Sword Technique!"

The longsword moved, and runic symbols, white as maggots, began floating around him, the sword dancing ever faster, runes gathering more and more densely, until with a low shout from Shi Feng, "Go!"

The sword in his hands pointed diagonally at the sky, the dense sea of runes all surged towards the Blood Sword’s blade, turning the originally bloody blade a deathly white, emitting a ghostly white shine as it trembled in Shi Feng’s hands.

"Boom!" The vicious Earth Stab was the first to meet the Handprint’s palm, shattering to pieces on contact.

"Snap!" Then it was Dark Evil whose right fist, filled with all his strength, also struck the palm!

With one punch from Dark Evil, the Handprint was halted in mid-air, but it was only for a fleeting two breaths before his corpse-like body was smacked down towards the ground as if swatted by a fly swatter.

With the obstruction shattered, the Handprint’s advance was unimpeded, its might undiminished, continuing to bear down on Shi Feng.

At this moment, Shi Feng finally made his true move.
