Nine Nether Heavenly Emperor
Chapter 136: Power of Corrosion

Chapter 136: Chapter 136: Power of Corrosion

Shi Feng, employing the Dark Evil Earth Divine Power, directly entered the depths of the earth. Not long after, he emerged inside Prince Chenn’s Mansion.

"Kid, what in the world is going on? How did the Sacred Sword advance? Did you get a piece of the Sacred Sword Fragment? And why do I sense the presence of the Evil Eye Clan within you? What exactly happened, and what did you just do to me? How could I have lost consciousness for no reason?" The Sacred Flame bombarded Shi Feng with a series of questions.

"Enough, you have too many questions," Shi Feng said. "This time, Young Master, in addition to being involved with your Blood Pattern Tribe, I also got mixed up with the Evil Eye Clan." With that, a fissure split open between Shi Feng’s eyebrows, revealing the grey pupil of the Evil Eye once again.

"The Corrosive Evil Eye!" The Sacred Flame exclaimed in shock, "Kid, you’ve actually subdued the Corrosive Evil Eye!"

With a thought from Shi Feng, a grey Sword Qi shot out from the third Evil Eye. A bird that had just perched to rest on a tree branch was hit by the grey Sword Qi and immediately turned into a puddle of grey liquid.

"Truly evil," Shi Feng remarked, looking at the puddle of grey water. Gaining this Evil Eye added another combat technique to his arsenal. Shi Feng was not averse to it; even without the Source of All Things, he would have attempted to subdue the Evil Eye for his use.

But being under the control of the Source of All Things was a very irksome feeling for Shi Feng. It was as though his life and death were in the grasp of an unknown force, but indeed it was true. If the Source of All Things wished to erase his Soul, it could do so as effortlessly as the soul that resided within the Corrosive Evil Eye.

"To not be controlled, one must have absolute power. One day, I will take you apart to see what you truly are," Shi Feng said to himself, as well as to the Source of All Things that dwelt within him. Following that, Shi Feng’s thoughts moved again, and he closed the Corrosive Evil Eye.

As the sky grew dark, Shi Feng headed towards the grand hall of Prince Chenn’s Mansion. He hadn’t forgotten that tonight, he planned to attack Jin Rui Crown Prince together with Long Chen and Long Meng.

"Brother Shi Feng, you’re back!" Upon arriving at the hall and seeing that both Long Chen and Long Meng were present, Long Meng hurried over to greet him, her cute face seemingly filled with anticipation.

"Are you all prepared?" Shi Feng asked the little girl.

Long Meng clenched her little fists and threw a couple of punches into the Void, saying, "I’ve been ready for a while, just waiting for you."

Shi Feng smiled and then turned to ask Long Chen, "Did you find out where the Crown Prince is staying?"

"Mhm," Long Chen nodded with a smile. "He’s residing in Long Xing’s mansion. This is indeed fortuitous."

"Then we wait for the dead of night to deliver a nightmare to the distinguished Jin Rui Crown Prince," Shi Feng said, smiling.

"Hee hee, Brother Shi Feng, you’re so naughty! But I like this naughty side of you," Long Meng teased.

Shi Feng: "..."

Within the Imperial Palace’s Imperial Study of the Imperial City, an Elderly voice roared in fury: "Who did this! Who was it! I will have his entire family executed! I will exterminate his Nine Clans!" The Emperor of the Yunlai Empire, Long Ao, sat high on the Dragon Throne, his pale and sickly face filled with rage. The palace maids and eunuchs at his side bowed their heads deeply, not daring to utter a sound.

Suddenly, a powerful aura spread from Long Ao, "Ah!" A frail palace maid, who was closest to Long Ao, was impacted by the aura and let out a startled cry, her legs giving way as she slumped to the ground.

"Um!" Long Ao’s dragon brows furrowed as he looked towards the palace maid, and soon after, each palace maid and eunuch felt the powerful aura emanating from Long Ao, causing their legs to give out until they were squatting on the ground, struggling even to breathe.

Rumors had spread that Emperor Long Ao, who was supposedly at death’s door and about to ascend to heaven, could still emit such a potent aura.

"A bunch of useless trash!" Long Ao scowled at these eunuchs and maids, snorting in anger. Then, a thick grey mist spread out rapidly from him in all directions, encompassing a dozen of them. As the mist surged from Long Ao, gasps of extreme shock and fear covered their faces. Within the mist, they didn’t even make a sound before all dissolving into pools of grey sludge.

If Shi Feng had been present, he would have recognized that the grey mist wafting off Long Ao was actually the Corrosive Evil Eye’s Power of Corrosion.

Having killed the dozen eunuchs and palace maids, the grey mist of corrosion filling the room quickly retracted back into Long Ao’s body.

"Ma Defu!" Long Ao bellowed.

At that moment, the large redwood doors of the Imperial Study slowly opened, and a pale, beardless, bizarre-sounding old eunuch in a red robe entered, bowing before Long Ao and saying, "Your Majesty, your humble servant is here."

"Go and investigate immediately who that man and woman seen by the Golden-armored Imperial Army in the Corrosion Mountain Forest are! It doesn’t matter who they are, I want them to die a horrible death! The Evil-Suppressing Monument has fallen, the Corrosion Eye is missing; they must be connected.

And also, quickly find out the whereabouts of the Corrosive Evil Eye. Without the Power of Corrosion, how will I continue to cultivate it in the future!" Long Ao commanded furiously.

"Yes! Yes! Your humble servant will do his utmost to do so, please rest assured, Your Majesty! The portraits of the man and woman who appeared in the Corrosion Mountain Forest are already being constructed by Commander Lu, who is providing descriptions for the artists to verify; I believe they’ll be ready soon," the old eunuch Ma Defu responded.

"And keep a close watch on my no-good sons, see if they’ve been up to anything new recently. Hmph! They truly think I’m on my deathbed just because I’m cultivating the Power of Corrosion, each of them waiting eagerly for my death so they can claim my empire! Even if they all died, I would not!"

...

It was a still night, stars filled the sky, and within the Imperial City, each home had shut its doors, and lights were extinguished.

On the rooftop of a teahouse not far from Eldest Prince, Xing Prince Mansion of the Yunlai Empire, three shadowy figures stood, all clad in Night Clothes with black cloths masking their heads and faces. Two figures were tall, and one was somewhat petite.

"Hee hee, Brother, I just want to laugh when I see you dressed like this," the small figure in the dark giggled cheekily.

"Stop fooling around!" Long Chen feigned anger and then asked Shi Feng, "Young Master Feng, are we just going to stand here without taking any action?"

"No rush," Shi Feng replied calmly. "I intentionally left some bait for that old friend of ours; I guess he’ll come looking for us soon enough."

"Bait? Brother Shi Feng, what bait? You stepped out for a bit just now, what exactly did you do?" Long Meng asked, puzzled.

Shi Feng did not reply to Long Meng’s question, instead saying, "Here they come! Be ready to welcome your new subordinate, Prince Chenn."

As Shi Feng’s words fell, a shadowy figure in black appeared in the night sky, stepping through the air towards them. The man wore black clothing, the same Martial Artist they had seen during the day in the teahouse room behind Jin Rui Crown Prince of the Heavenly Mist Empire, Wu Xiaoyun.
