Chapter 70: NAUGHTY GIRLS SHOULD BE PUNISHED
Suddenly, Aristia crouched down, surprising the man.
"Boohoo. I and my sisters are lost and don’t remember the way back. Our parents will be very worried." Aristia lowered her head and sniffed. Seeing that she had captured the man’s attention, she signaled for the others to get ready.
From the corner of her eyes, she saw Beatrix pick up a stone. It looked capable of dealing damage. She continued, "Uncle, can you really help us get home?" She raised her head with a hopeful look while her hand worked.
"Don’t worry," the man smiled creepily, bending over. "Uncle will take good care of all of yo—"
"Now!"
Aristia yelled. This left the man frozen in shock and confusion. Then, leaping up, she poured the sand into his eyes.
Immediately, Beatrix used the stone to hit his hand. Serina and Alicia just stood on looking confused and in fear, object still in hand.
"Now, run!" Aristia yelled.
"Argh, bitches! Wait until I get my hands on you," the man raged as he tried to get the sand out of his eyes. His hand hurt from the hit it took.
He chased after the children. Aristia thought that the scene of a grown man chasing little children was both funny and disturbing, and just as she had said earlier, they were at a disadvantage.
Aristia had no problem. She could run fast enough. She didn’t think she could with her body if she hadn’t been training. Beatrix was able to keep up thanks to the seriousness she put in the training she was receiving. The problem was Alicia and Serina.
Soon enough, the man caught Serina and lifted her up. The others stopped in their tracks.
Alicia sniffed in fear.
"Ahh!!!" Serina screamed, the sound piercing through the quiet night, but it would probably be drowned out by the noise from the festival streets away.
She thrashed about, using her hands and feet to attack in a bid to make him release her.
With her rock still in her hand, she used it to attack him in a panic. The rock had a sharp edge and it just so happened to come in contact with the man’s head.
Blood gushed out from the wound and dripped down his face. He groaned in pain and let her go, dropping Serina.
Serina winced at the hard collision with the ground. Tears pooled around her eyes but she still stood up to run.
"Sorry," Aristia said, then she turned to Beatrix and Alicia. "We can’t run. We have to face him head on. We have the advantage of numbers. Don’t stay clustered together, stay seperated."
The angry man now had veins popping in his forehead. He wiped the blood from his forehead and his jaw clenched at the liquid. "You’re very naughty girls. Girls should be obedient. You shall be punished."
"Extremely. Disgusting. Pedophile." Aristia spat out with gritted teeth, surprising even her companions. She could feel her anger rising.
The man turned even angrier. He didn’t know the meaning of the last word, but he understood the first two. He lunged towards her. She jumped to the side, causing the man to loose his balance and almost fall.
Aristia didn’t give him any chance. She went on to kick him from behind. But the man dodged and turned to grab her.
Beatrix reacted at that moment. She picked up a stone and lunged it at him.
Alicia and Serina suddenly looked enlightened. They were too scared to fight the man, but they could still lunge objects at him to help Aristia, careful not to mistakenly miss the target and hit Aristia.
They picked up stones and started lunging them at him.
Aristia saw that the man had been distracted and used that moment to deliver a punch to his jaw. It was the only place she could reach when she jumped.
[Ow, my hand.] She kicked his jaw angrily.
She could see the girls shaking from the corner of her eyes. She smiled proudly at their bravery. This was, after all, the first time they encountered such a situation.
Her momentary distraction gave the man a chance to catch her. As he raised her up, his eyes were filled with crazed anger.
"Enough of this silly game. You need to be taught a lesson." He ground out. He could tell that she was the one filling their head with ideas.
"And you talk too much," Aristia chuckled softly. "Time to end this silly game. Haven’t you learnt from the last time you picked one of us up?" She asked and the man actually looked confused.
But soon, he was bent over on the ground and rolling in pain as he held his crotch. Sweat formed on his forehead and he groaned from the intense pain. "Bitch, you bitch!"
Aristia walked slowly in front of him. She looked down at him with a wicked look in her eyes.
"You... How..." The man asked fearfully. How could a child have such a gaze. Now that he thought about it, how could a child fight like that?
Aristia chuckled wickedly.
"Hehe. Yes. Me." She raised her foot and stomped down and the man lost consciousness.
Just as W*dnesday A*dams had done to L*urel G*tes.
Aristia turned to the girls, her expression back to normal. "Help me drag him to the corner. Quick, before someone comes!" She urged.
"Huh? O-okay!" They finally reacted.
They painstakingly dragged him to the corner of the street and dropped him not so gently on the ground like a sack of potatoes. Aristia delivered a final kick to his back.
"L-let’s get out of here." Alicia stuttered out, looking around fearfully. She didn’t want to encounter such a situation ever again.
It took a great deal for the girls not to cry as their hearts beat quickly. They couldn’t understand how Aristia could remain so calm.
"We have to tie him up first. We can’t have him escape." Aristia said, panting. That man was not as light as a feather!
Fortunately for Aristia and not so for the man, a rope was found some distance away. She used it to securely tie his hands and feet.
"This way, the guards will be able to find him," she further explained.
She was sure they weren’t the first target of the man and they would definitely not be the last if they let him escape. It was just that they hadn’t fallen victim to him.
[Scum like him deserve to rot.] She scowled, but calmed the next second. She’d make sure he rot.
Her eyes moved in a certain direction unnoticeably.
But as if nothing happened, she turned to the girls. "Come on, let’s go." She dusted her hands and straightened her body.
"You were all brave back there," she said in a bid to brighten the mood. But only Beatrix smiled weakly at her.
[Great, the bastard’s ruined the mood.]
"We are going to be in so much trouble," she groaned with a sigh. She didn’t know if they had been discovered or not, but it was most likely that they had.
They sighed in relief when they caught sight of the palace in front of them and fastened their steps.
After sneaking past the guards again, they arrived at the small bush.
Alicia first crawled into the bush and pushed back the brick. Then, she crawled into the palace.
The others followed suit and were back in the palace. Only then did they relax.
They pushed back the brick in its position, took off their cloaks and picked up their clothes.
"Let’s go. Before they notice," Beatrix whispered.
They all rushed, not in the direction of the main palace where the banquet was being held, but to Beatrix and Serina’s wing of the palace.
No one said anything about Alicia following them as they got into Serina’s room.
Adeline, Sienna and Rosalind who had been waiting for them to return, quickly rushed over.
"Princesses, you are back. We were beginning to feel worried."
"Keep this for yourselves and for Owen," she said handing her the well wrapped skewers. "And please, bring us bowls of water and towels." Aristia ordered. They didn’t have time to take a bath. The banquet was about to officially begin.
"Right away, princess." Adeline replied. She didn’t ask about why the daughter of Marquis Eldridge was with them.
The maids quickly left the room to fulfill the orders. They returned in less than a minute with four bowls and four towels.
Adeline held the towels, and Rosalind and Sienna held the
bowls of water.
After the maids had helped the children wipe their bodies, they helped them get dressed quickly.
After they were dressed, Adeline spoke as they headed to the parlour.
"Her Majesty, her highness and Lady Eldridge were becoming suspicious. I told them that you all were spending time together in the princesses’ palace. I don’t think they really believed that."
"No, we didn’t." A voice rang out, startling Aristia, Beatrix, Alicia, Serina, and the maids.
