Chapter 118: SNOWKISSED BUTT
Chapter 118: SNOWKISSED BUTT
Alaric woke up about an hour later.
"Tia?" Sitting up and not catching sight of his sister, he quickly got down from the bed.
"She’s left for the training!"
He slowly pulled opened the door and found Cassandra standing outside.
"You’re awake, Young Prince. Let me assist you with putting on your training clothes. The princess is in the training grounds." Cassandra explained on seeing Alaric awake.
Alaric nodded and obediently followed Cassandra as she went to help him dress up.
Alaric pouted. The time remaining for the training wasn’t much.
The training was something Alaric looked forward to every morning; it was a class he had together with his sister, and would be the only class he would have with her when he began his classes.
However, he knew that his sister just didn’t want to wake him up when he was sleeping after waiting so long for her the previous night.
"Why are you so slow? Hurry up! You’re wasting more time." Alaric said impatiently, glaring at Cassandra.
Cassandra’s expression did not change, but her already fast fingers hastened up.
She wasn’t slow in the first place, but Alaric just wanted to make it to the training before it ended and the poor servant seemed to be wasting his time.
After Cassandra fastened the last button, she straightened up and smoothed the creases in his outfit.
"Shall I carry you, prince?" She offered to take him quickly.
Alaric nodded.
Immediately, Cassandra picked him up in her arms and moved hastily out of the mansion in the direction of the training grounds.
It wasn’t like there was little time remaining— there was still about an hour or so— but the young master was in a hurry and she had to obey his orders.
As they left the training grounds, the cold morning air welcomed them, causing Alaric to shiver lightly at the change in temperature from the mansion’s warmth to the cold outside.
Cassandra held Alaric close to herself, wrapping her arms closer around him to warm him. She moved quickly on the snow, her shoes making a crunching sound once they made contact with the snow, and in no time reached the section of the mansion the training ground was in.
Just as they arrived at the training grounds, Alaric tugged at her clothes.
Cassandra stopped immediately, looking down at him and awaiting his next words.
"Put me down. I’ll go by myself,"
"Yes, young prince." Cassandra obeyed, letting him down gently.
Alaric smoothed out his clothes and turned to leave.
He had just moved a step when he paused as if he just remembered something.
"Thank you, Cassandra."
Cassandra was a bit surprised, but she didn’t show.
"... It’s my pleasure, Prince Alaric."
Alaric then entered the training ground on his own.
Aristia turned towards him.
"Al, you’re awake!" She yelled, waving him over.
Alaric smiled widely and walked faster.
The captain turned towards him once he was standing in front of them.
"Good morning, captain." Alaric greeted, moving to stand beside Aristia.
"Good morning, young prince." Captain Hugh nodded.
Aristia rubbed her little brother’s head. His hair was ruffled from just waking up, he just looked especially cute!!
She squeezed his cheeks multiple times, but Alaric didn’t complain and just pop putfed out his cheeks like a hamster, enjoying the attention from his sister while looking absolutely adorable.
"Ahem!" The Captain’s intentional cough brought Aristia out of her little world.
He was beginning to feel sympathy for the little prince whose cheeks had taken a pink hue, but the prince himself didn’t seem to mind.
Aristia’s hand on Alaric’s cheek paused and she slowly retracted her hand after one last gentle squeeze. She almost became addicted to pinching Alaric’s soft chubby cheeks.
"So now that you’re here, prince, begin your run. Princess, continue to train with the sword." Sir Hugh gave orders. It wasn’t a real sword, it was still a wooden one that Aristia was using.
Alaric began running, and Aristia couldn’t help saying,
"Be careful, Al. So you won’t fall." She didn’t want him to slip and fall.
One would think that Aristia wouldn’t have training classes in the cold month of January, much less running as part of it, but the opposite was the case.
Hugh Lancelot had said that the training class would still go on. He still asked them to run as a warm-up even though there was no doubt that some parts in the ground would be slippery because of ice or snow, coupled with the fact that the snow would make running a hassle.
The captain said that all those factors would cause them to exert more energy and increase their endurance.
Well, Aristia agreed. And Wilson and Catherine did not disagree with her decision.
When the training ended, the siblings returned to the mansion.
"Ow," Alaric rubbed his butt.
Aristia’s attention turned from the snow on the ground she was intentionally crunching with her custom-made boots to him.
"What’s wrong, Al? Is your butt still hurting?" There was a hint of amusement in her tone as she asked that. She shoved away a patch of snow in front of her and looked back at Alaric.
Alaric shot her a pointed look.
[What? It’s funny!] Aristia thought.
Alaric had fallen while running earlier. It wasn’t him falling that was funny, but the way he fell.
He’d landed straight on his butt with a plop. Luckily, it was on snow so it shouldn’t have hurt so much.
His eyes were wide open as if he didn’t understand what had just happened, and it took him a few seconds to finally blink.
Aristia had run up to him then and helped him up, but she couldn’t resist laughing at his reaction.
Now in the present, Alaric answered her question.
"The snow is cold." He’d sat on the ice for a few seconds and he couldn’t feel his butt. He then pouted and looked away from her, "You’re still laughing at me!"
Aristia held back her laugh, but her lips twitched continuously.
She cleared her throat and said, "Don’t you see, Al? We’re close and that’s why I laughed, but I still helped you up, didn’t I?"
Alaric kept staring at her, not understanding what she was talking about.
"Someone who’s not close to you like I am will help you out without laughing, but since I, your dear sister, is so very close to you, I freely expressed my emotions. Just take it like I’m your best friend." She explained.
Alaric understood what she was trying to say this time. His eyes lit up with happiness.
"I am your best friend. The best and the bestest!" He nodded like it made all the sense in the world.
Because of his snowkissed butt, Aristia placated him. "Don’t worry, I’ll make you something to cheer you up."
Alaric bobbed his head up and down. "Make me a sandwich, no pie, no tart! I’ll help you!"
Aristia chuckled at his excitement. "I have a better idea, but you can only eat it tomorrow. Today, I’ll make you pie."
Alaric nodded with a shrug. Anything she made was good. As long as it was his sister making it.

After breakfast that morning, when the family was in the parlour just before Aristia’s classes officially started, a servant announced to the family.
"Your Highness, Madam Grace has arrived."
"Invite her in." Catherine gave permission.
The servant bowed and left, and moments later, came back with Madam Grace and her salesgirls.
"Greetings to your Highnesses." Madam Grace curtsied.
"Have a seat, Madam Grace." Catherine gestured to the seat opposite theirs.
She turned to the servant. "Prepare some refreshments."
"I will do so immediately, your Highness." The servant bowed and left.
Catherine turned her gaze back to Madam Grace.
"I’ve brought with me the clothes I’ve been so graciously given the privilege to make for Her Royal Highness, the Imperial Princess, and Her Royal Highness, the third princess."
Madam Grace glanced at her salesgirls and the one in front moved immediately, soon followed by the rest in an orderly manner.
One by one, they displayed the clothes to the family.
Looking at the clothes made Aristia chuckle. They had finally arrived.
The sound of her laughter told Madam Grace and the others that she was pleased.
Madam Grace was somewhat proud. She had not disappointed the princess’s expectations.
After looking at the clothes, Catherine turned back to Madam Grace.
"I am pleased with what you’ve done. As expected of hands as skilled as yours." Catherine wasn’t stingy with her praise.
To be able to make these clothes her daughter had designed and leave her daughter satisfied was truly remarkable in Catherine’s eyes.
The servant brought tea and refreshments and served it.
Catherine ordered a servant to hand madam Grace the payment which had already been discussed beforehand.
After Madam Grace finished her tea, she left with her entourage.
A servant was called to handle the clothes.
The parlour was silent for a moment until Aristia turned to her mother with an inviting smile. There was still some time before her classes.
"Wanna try on the clothes, mama?"
