Chapter 563: Sealing the Ten-Tails Cells
Chapter 563 - 563: Sealing the Ten-Tails Cells
After Orochimaru and Tobirama—one the creator of Impure World Reincarnation—finished their discussion, Kawakaze followed Orochimaru to the laboratory.
As soon as he stepped inside, he saw Tsunade hard at work, with Misaki assisting her.
"Tell me your thoughts," Orochimaru said. "What do you need me to do?"
It was as if he could read Kawakaze's mind—he had already guessed that whatever method Kawakaze had devised to increase his strength had something to do with him.
"You always understand me."
"I need Ten-Tails' cells."
"How is the cultivation process going?"
"Are they at the stage where they can be sealed into a body?"
Orochimaru was momentarily stunned.
The Demonic Statue of the Outer Path was the very embodiment of the Tailed Beasts' power—was Kawakaze deliberately walking into Madara's trap?
"Are you sure about this?"
His golden, slit-pupil eyes fixed on Kawakaze with uncertainty, his tone filled with doubt.
"I'm sure."
"I need that power."
"The Ten-Tails' cells might be the key to unlocking an entirely new level of strength."
Kawakaze no longer saw a reason to hide anything. At this point, it wasn't about curiosity anymore.
"What kind of power?"
Orochimaru frowned. He needed more details before he could give Kawakaze an answer.
"The power of the Ōtsutsuki Clan."
Kawakaze's eyes burned with an intense hunger for power. He had never craved it as much as he did now.
"Sealing the Ten-Tails' cells... would cause a fundamental change in the Senju and Uchiha powers within you?"
Orochimaru understood immediately. Even if he had never seen it before, he had grasped the essence of the idea.
"Exactly."
"That's what I'm aiming for—I have to try."
"It's just a portion of the Ten-Tails' cells. It shouldn't have any major side effects."
Kawakaze knew what Orochimaru was worried about, but if he could obtain the power of the Ōtsutsuki, why would he fear the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path?
"The cultivation is progressing well."
"It should be at the stage where it meets your requirements."
"But if you're using it as a key..."
Orochimaru muttered as he turned toward the cultivation chamber, stepping forward.
Kawakaze followed closely behind, anticipation rising.
Beep. Beep. Beep...
With the sound of a password being entered, the door to the cultivation room slid open.
Inside, the lighting was dim, casting eerie shadows over the space.
Ten massive cultivation tanks stood in a row, each connected to a system of tubes supplying them with a specialized growth medium.
Without exception, every tank contained cells extracted from Tailed Beasts.
Kawakaze's gaze swept the room, quickly locking onto the one he sought.
The container housing the Ten-Tails' cells.
Inside, it looked like a miniature version of the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.
Compared to the other Tailed Beast cells, it was much smaller—only about half the height of a person.
Even without approaching, Kawakaze could already feel the immense power radiating from within.
"That's enough."
As Kawakaze ran his hand over the outer shell of the cultivation tank, he could already feel the cells within his body stirring with excitement.
"We're starting now?"
Orochimaru was a man of action—once he agreed to something, he never looked back.
"Can we?"
Kawakaze wasn't sure if the Ten-Tails' cells still needed further processing.
"We can."
"Or do you not trust my sealing techniques?"
Orochimaru smirked slightly, teasing him.
"That's funny, coming from you." Kawakaze scoffed. "Since when have I ever trusted you?"
"Haha~"
The tension that had been weighing on Kawakaze for days finally eased, and some of the darkness in his heart dissipated.
...
With a sharp crack, Orochimaru shattered the cultivation tank with a single punch, and in an instant, the overwhelming aura of the Ten-Tails' chakra flooded the room.
"Are you ready?"
One hand resting on the miniature Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, Orochimaru swiftly weaved hand seals with the other.
Not that he actually cared whether Kawakaze was ready or not—it was just a courtesy.
"Do it."
Kawakaze stepped forward, placing himself within Orochimaru's reach.
"Four Symbols Seal—Seal!"
With a low growl, Orochimaru's clawed fingers pressed firmly against Kawakaze's abdomen.
The intricate sealing pattern of the Four Symbols Seal gradually surfaced on his stomach, pulling the Ten-Tails' chakra into his body.
As the miniature Demonic Statue of the Outer Path shrank, the seal on Kawakaze's abdomen became more defined.
By the time the statue had completely vanished, the sealing mark was fully etched onto his skin.
"The Four Symbols Seal should be enough for you, right?"
Orochimaru withdrew his hand, making no move to use the Eight Trigrams Seal.
"It's enough."
Closing his eyes, Kawakaze could already feel the Ten-Tails' chakra reacting within him.
...
It was as if every cell in his body had gained a will of its own, surging with newfound energy.
A massive wave of chakra suddenly burst from him, forcing Orochimaru to step back.
Then, he noticed Kawakaze's appearance had changed.
His once-silver hair had turned pure white, and his skin had paled.
Two bulges swelled on his forehead, writhing slightly, as if something was about to emerge.
The chakra enveloping his body thickened, taking the vague form of a flowing white battle robe.
"Did it work?"
Orochimaru murmured to himself, uncertain whether this transformation was a success or a disaster.
...
"What the hell is going on?"
Sensing the surge of unfamiliar energy, Tsunade stormed into the room.
The moment she laid eyes on Kawakaze, she froze in shock.
This was no longer the man she knew.
His hair was completely white, twin horns protruded from his forehead, and his long white robe was marked with six black magatama patterns.
"I'm not entirely sure either. I only sealed the Ten-Tails' cells inside him, and this is what happened."
Orochimaru was frank—he knew Tsunade was aware of Kawakaze's decision.
She was just caught off guard by what she was seeing.
"It should have worked," she said after a moment.
"Kawakaze told me a little about this."
"We wait for him to wake up."
Despite her words, the crease in her brow showed her unease.
"Mm."
Orochimaru nodded, standing still, making no move to leave.
...
No one knew how much time had passed, but under Tsunade and Orochimaru's watchful eyes, Kawakaze's body began changing again.
All of his previous transformations slowly faded away, and he returned to his normal appearance.
"Did he fail?"
Orochimaru glanced at Tsunade, testing her reaction.
"Not sure."
Tsunade shook her head. Kawakaze hadn't told her much to begin with.
"The Ten-Tails' chakra wasn't enough—that part is true."
"But I succeeded."
At that moment, Kawakaze opened his eyes.
Spreading his hand, he summoned a pitch-black orb into his palm.
The sheer power radiating from it was beyond Orochimaru's comprehension.
He had never felt anything like it before—even a Tailed Beast Bomb was nothing compared to this.
Under Tsunade's gaze, the black sphere began shifting form.
One moment it was elongated, the next it became a cylinder...
Finally, it took the shape of a long sword, which Kawakaze gripped tightly.
"The Truth-Seeking Orbs... I've finally obtained this power."
Laughter burst from him—his theory had been right all along.
The fusion of Senju and Uchiha power, combined with the Ten-Tails' chakra, had granted him true mastery over the Six Paths.
The Truth-Seeking Orb in his hand was proof of it.
