Chapter 779: The Lost Ancient Human Race, the Roar of the Colossal Beast (II)
As Chen Chu followed the Shi Sisters back to their place to recuperate before exploring...
In the rift world, the Silver Colossal Dragon patted the side of the Destructive Dragon Emperor’s massive body, letting out an excited roar. Ao Tian, Hu San is back!
Hu San is back? The Dragon Emperor slowly drew part of its awareness back to the present.
At the edge of the world, the waterfall exploded. Two mutated orcas surged upward, one 120 meters long, the other 60 meters.
After several days of absorbing the energy from that Ancient Clam Pearl—equivalent to a high-level divine item—the black orca had reached the peak of level 8.
The little orca had reached the peak of level 7 after consuming two pearls equivalent to ordinary god-level resources, now on the verge of breaking through to level 8 itself.
This female orca, once an ordinary mutated beast, had grown at a shocking pace in the half a year it had followed Hu San, thanks to the influx of precious resources.
Watching the two excited orcas swim back, the Dragon Emperor looked dazed. Has it really been two days?
On Chen Chu’s end, only a brief amount of time had passed, but from the Dragon Emperor’s perception, two full days had gone by. The difference in conscious time was nearly a hundredfold.
Splash!
The lake’s surface burst as the black orca leapt out of the water, chirping joyfully at the towering black-and-red colossal beast standing atop the crystal platform. Uncle, Uncle! I’m back! I found something amazing!
Before the Dragon Emperor could speak, a horn-like cry echoed from the Single-Horned Kunpeng floating a thousand meters overhead. Hu San, what good thing did you find?
Floating nearby on the lake, the female orca, Horn Hime, also lowered her head slightly, curiosity gleaming in her eyes.
The black orca slapped its fins against the water, letting out a proud string of squeaks. I swam southeast for a long time, and I encountered an alien race.
They live in a huge planar world beneath the sea, where they have massive clam-like creatures. They can produce a treasure called Ancient Clam Crystal Pearls.
The larger the clams, the stronger the pearls they produce. It’s said that the pearls born from the greatest Ancient Divine Clams can even enhance the power of titan-level creatures.
Just as the black orca finished speaking, the Silver Dragon interrupted with an excited roar. That pearl can really strengthen titan creatures?
Hu San nodded firmly. Yes, that’s what the alien I rescued said directly.
Ao Tian, let’s charge over there and wipe out those aliens! the Silver Dragon suggested excitedly. A treasure capable of enhancing titan creatures had to be at least law-level in quality.
The Deep Sea Dragon Turtle let out a heavy roar. Well done, Hu San. You're far more useful than that idiot Big Horn.
The black orca nodded with a smug squeak. I’ve always been smarter than Dad. He’s so dumb. One day I’ll defeat him and take his place as dragon king.
Watching the black orca go on, day in and day out, about how it was going to beat the Kunpeng, the other colossal beasts couldn’t help showing strange expressions. Even the Dragon Emperor’s lips twitched slightly.
Boom!
A massive tail descended from the sky and slammed down on the black orca’s head. A huge splash exploded from the lake as the force smashed it several hundred meters underwater.
The female orca in the air slowly withdrew her tail, watching as the black orca surfaced again. Her voice was soft and gentle. Hu San, don’t talk bad about your father. He’s already trying his best.
The rebellious black orca instinctively shrank beneath the female orca’s calm gaze, a fawning look appearing in its eyes.
The Kunpeng was nearly moved to tears as it squeaked, You’re still the best, dear.
Back then, in order to feed the family, it had traveled across the oceans hunting for valuable treasures, constantly getting chased by powerful mutated beasts and nearly dying several times. Yet all three of its sons spent every day plotting rebellion.
It’s so hard being me...
At least the eldest and second were manageable. Though they also had ambitions to challenge its role as head of the family, they at least kept it to themselves. Only this third son loudly proclaimed, day after day, about defeating it and taking its place.
At that thought, the Kunpeng found itself suddenly missing the relatively well-behaved eldest and second sons.
Just then, on the lake’s surface, the Nine-Headed Serpent stretched over, roaring in chaotic unison. Hu San, what do those pearls look like?
I almost forgot—I brought back a sample! The black orca opened its mouth and spat out an air bubble, inside of which was a pearl the size of a washbasin. It pulsed with a dense energy glow.
The bubble was lifted by an invisible force and landed before the Dragon Emperor, which gently pinched it between the tips of two massive claws.
This energy... A look of surprise appeared in its eyes.
The energy within the pearl was rich and potent. Though it was of little use to the Dragon Emperor now, it would still benefit any transcendent beings below the mythical level.
This type of energy resembled a magma giant’s core, filled with dense, pure life energy, only gentler.
The Dragon Emperor slowly straightened, letting out a deep, resonant roar. Hu San, how many of those clam creatures are there in that planar world?
I didn’t count, Hu San replied. Beasts aren’t allowed to get close, but I heard there’s a lot. A whole lot.
A lot, huh... The Dragon Emperor’s mouth curled into a subtle smile.
Boom!
With a sudden motion, the Dragon Emperor’s massive wings spread wide, blotting out the sky. A pitch-black rift thousands of meters long was torn open behind it, accompanied by a tremor that shook the world.
As soon as the Dragon Emperor appeared above the sea outside, the entire world began to tremble. Countless thunderbolts erupted from its body, transforming into electromagnetic shockwaves that swept across a range of over a thousand kilometers.
Boom!
The skies churned with thunderclouds. Blinding bolts of lightning flashed like the wrath of the heavens. As countless natural lightning strikes converged, the Dragon Emperor’s aura surged once more.
Bathed in dazzling lightning, the Dragon Emperor raised its head and let out a deafening roar before shooting into the skies, plunging into the upper cloud layers.
In an instant, thick, black storm clouds rolled violently. An immense charge of electricity gathered and surged toward the center, coalescing into a colossal, spiraling thundercloud mass.
Glimpses of scales and claws faintly flickered within the thundercloud, as an overwhelming presence shook heaven and earth.
Ao Tian, wait for the great Saixitia! The Silver Dragon burst forth from within a rift thousands of meters long, surrounded by storm winds and roaring alongside the Golden-Blue Colossal Dragon.
Behind them followed a procession of terrifying beasts: Qiongqi, Zhulong, the Kunpeng, the Dragon Turtle, the Serpent, and the female orca, who had activated her domain. Along with them came the Blue Giant Crab, carrying both the black orca and the smaller female orca on its back.
From deep within the storm clouds came a thunderous draconic roar. All beasts, follow me. Go bring back all those Ancient Clams!
The thundercloud storm, stretching across more than a thousand kilometers, began to move with a deafening rumble.
Kill! Today, the great Saixitia will paint the seas red with blood!
Charge! Ghidorah is ready to fight eighteen at once!
And the mighty General Crab is taking on eighty!
Amid the violent winds and torrential rain, monstrous waves reaching a thousand meters surged across the ocean. One colossal beast after another soared through the stormy sky, unleashing ferocious, bloodthirsty roars with earth-shaking momentum.
