Chapter 418: Archangel Alvariel
Chapter 418: Archangel Alvariel
"Mythic Ace Unit–class Archangel?!" Ethan froze for a second, his voice rising with excitement and disbelief. "Seriously?!"
Now that was one hell of a surprise.
A Mythic Ace Unit Archangel—that meant someone on the same level as Auremax and the others! Their power was beyond question, but more importantly... it was what they represented.
That was the real game-changer.
"Angels don’t lie," Wisdom Angel Cain said, shaking his head. Then his eyes flashed with a sharp glint as he spoke in a low, commanding tone. "Alvariel, come to me!"
Whoosh!
A sharp sound sliced through the air as Light Force surged violently. Moments later, a figure appeared just outside the palace—clad in gleaming armor, wielding the Angel’s Sword, and radiating a powerful aura of pure Light Magic.
"Great and revered Wisdom Angel Cain, Archangel Alvariel answers your call. I stand in your presence, ready to receive your divine will," he said calmly, placing one hand over his heart and bowing his head in solemn respect.
"I need you to lead 300 units of Tier-14 Archangels to support the Lord of Emerald Castle, Valkarion. Remember this, Alvariel—his orders are my orders."
"I expect your absolute obedience. Can you do that?"
Cain’s voice was steady, but there was no mistaking the weight behind it.
"By your divine will," Alvariel replied without hesitation, nodding firmly. Not a flicker of doubt in his eyes.
Seeing this, Cain finally gave a small nod of approval, then turned his gaze back to Ethan. "Valkarion, I hope you meant what you said. Angels don’t deceive—but we also don’t take kindly to being deceived. If you’re lying to me... you know what that means."
"I get it," Ethan said with a grin, extending his hand. "Then here’s to a good partnership."
Cain’s eyes narrowed slightly, but after a moment, he reached out and shook Ethan’s hand. "To a good partnership."
"Cicero, Alvariel, let’s go." With the handshake done, Ethan stood up and headed out. His mission here was complete, and time was running short—he only had three months left. No point wasting a second.
But what none of them realized... was that long after they’d gone, Wisdom Angel Cain, who had remained seated and silent, suddenly spoke.
"Elyrgaard, what do you think?"
Buzz!
The moment the words left his mouth, a surge of terrifying magical energy exploded through the palace. Beams of radiant light filled the space, dazzling and multicolored. From within that brilliance, a majestic Arcane Eagle emerged, its presence commanding and regal.
"That Green Dragon... is interesting," Elyrgaard said, his voice calm and measured.
"If I’m not mistaken, his Primordial Force is stronger than ours."
"Stronger than ours?" Cain rubbed his temples, then stood up slowly. "So it’s true... You heard everything I said to him. Scrap the previous plan—for now. Let’s wait three months. As long as they can keep even one of our enemies occupied, we’ll have the upper hand. Three against two—we’ll win for sure."
"Can we trust him?" Elyrgaard’s brow furrowed, clearly uneasy. "What if we’ve been played? What if he’s a spy for the Inferno faction... or the Dungeon faction... or even the Necropolis undead?"
"Alvariel’s no fool. If he’s a traitor... Alvariel will know what to do."
"And besides, it’s highly unlikely. Emerald Castle’s Hero Units and regular troops are all aligned with the Light Alliance—Green Dragons, Kirins, Ancient War Trees... You really think all of them would willingly side with the Dark Alliance? You know as well as I do—our hatred for the Dark Alliance is innate. It can’t be faked."
"If they were spies, they wouldn’t be able to hide it from us Angels."
Cain shook his head, his voice calm but full of conviction.
Elyrgaard fell silent for a long moment...
Then finally, he gave a slow nod. "Alright. We’ll go with it. Cain, I’ll see you in three months. Just make sure that when the time comes, you and your new friends give me a surprise... not a disaster."
"As you wish, Elyrgaard. Don’t worry—when this war ends, we’ll be the ones standing victorious. That, I promise you." Cain raised his Angel’s Sword high, Light Force blazing in his eyes.
...
At the same time, after leaving Wisdom Angel Cain’s celestial palace, Ethan finally had a moment to pull up the detailed stats on the Archangel walking beside him—Alvariel, a Mythic Ace Unit.

...
"Only 45% evolution progress, huh..."
Ethan frowned slightly, eyes still fixed on Alvariel’s stat panel. Honestly? That number didn’t impress him at all. A mere 45%? He’d seen better—way better.
Balthazar was already at 53%.
Vaelric? 59%.
And Auremax? A whopping 70%.
Alvariel wasn’t even close. In fact, Auremax’s evolution was nearly double his. That kind of gap wasn’t just numbers—it was a whole different league.
Still... even if Ethan wasn’t thrilled with Alvariel’s evolution progress, he couldn’t deny one thing:
The guy’s innate abilities were absolutely cracked.
Divine Verdict—a straight-up nightmare for the Necropolis faction. A full 100% damage boost against undead units? That was insane. Even Hero Units didn’t usually get that kind of raw multiplier.
And Alvariel wasn’t even a Hero Unit himself—just a Mythic Ace Unit. That made it even more ridiculous. The skill was practically broken.
And the rest of his kit? Just as busted.
Absolute Purity—complete immunity to all negative magic. All of it. That wasn’t just strong—it was straight-up cheat-code level.
Holy Resurrection—a teamfight sustain engine on steroids. The ability to bring back entire squads mid-battle? That kind of utility could turn the tide of a war. Any skill tied to resurrection was already top-tier by default, and this one was no exception.
Then there was the Angel’s Sword. Probably the weakest of the four, sure—but still a powerhouse. +30% damage to demon-type units, +10% to demon Hero Units, and a +30% crit chance? That was a demon-slayer’s dream weapon.
Ethan let out a low whistle, shaking his head with a half-smile.
"No wonder people say this unit’s the best bang for your buck," he muttered. "Damn thing’s a walking cheat code."
