Chapter 340: That title wasn’t just for show

Ding!

"Congratulations, player Valkarion! Your Hero Unit, Green Dragon Cicero, has successfully reached Level 53!"

Another massive burst of power surged through the battlefield as Cicero’s level shot up, finally breaking into 53! The moment the others saw it, they weren’t about to be left behind—eyes blazing red with fury, they charged at their enemies with renewed ferocity.

The brutal clash resumed in full force...

A fierce counterattack erupted like a tidal wave, instantly cutting down the Dungeon army’s numbers once again. Even their elite units were now fighting at barely a fraction of their former strength.

Watching this unfold, Dungeon King Vorundar was shaking with rage, his face twisted in fury.

His pitch-black eyes were now streaked with blood-red veins.

He was absolutely livid.

"You useless trash! There’s so many of you and you still can’t kill them? All of you—get in there! I don’t care if you die to the last one, take them down with you! If you don’t, I’ll personally rip your souls apart and scatter them into the void!"

"Useless!"

"A bunch of worthless garbage!"

Vorundar was losing it, screaming like a madman. But no matter how loud he roared, he was still locked down by the Green Dragon powerhouse, Thandor, who kept him completely pinned—he didn’t even have a chance to lift a finger.

"Master, let me go too. I can still fight!" Seraphina’s voice broke through the chaos as she turned to Ethan, eyes burning with determination.

"But... your wounds—are you sure you’re okay?" Ethan hesitated, concern written all over his face.

Seraphina’s injuries were brutal. Her health bar was barely hanging on at less than a quarter—dangerously close to the red zone. He didn’t want to risk losing her.

Vmmm!

Just then, a soft green light enveloped Seraphina, washing over her like a wave. Ethan blinked in surprise, and then heard a deep, aged voice whisper in his ear—it was Thandor, the Green Dragon elder.

"If she wants to go, let her. As long as I’m here, he won’t be able to kill her..."

Meanwhile, the dark energy that had been corrupting Seraphina’s body was completely purified.

Not only that—her wounds visibly began to heal, and her health bar climbed back up to about a third.

"Master..." Seraphina looked at Ethan with pleading eyes.

He sighed, then gave her a small, helpless smile. "Alright, go. But be careful... and tell Cicero it’s about time to wrap this up."

"Yes, Master!" she nodded quickly.

Without another word, she turned and shot into the sky, diving straight toward the Dungeon Lords and the remaining Black Dragons.

This time, her eyes were cold—so cold they practically glowed with killing intent.

If she were strong enough to take on Shadow Dragon Vorundar himself, she would’ve gone straight for his throat. But she wasn’t there yet. So for now, she’d vent her fury on the rest of these worthless bastards.

"ROAR!"

"Venomous Dragon Breath!"

"Sacred Realm!"

Seraphina’s voice rang out like thunder, each word laced with power. This time, she wasn’t holding back—not even a little. She went all in.

Her Sacred Realm exploded outward, a terrifying force that spread across the battlefield like a shockwave, instantly covering a hundred thousand feet in every direction. Every enemy caught inside was now under her dominion.

At the same time, the combined force of her Sacred Realm and Venomous Dragon Breath detonated like ripples in water—wave after wave of devastating energy pulsing outward, each one more lethal than the last.

"AAAHHH—!"

Screams filled the air. One after another, Black Dragons dropped from the sky, their bodies rotting and decaying at an unnatural speed under the onslaught of her power.

By the time the dust began to settle, their numbers had plummeted—falling below the 200 mark.

And they were still dropping fast.

Boom! Boom! Boom...

One shriveled corpse after another plummeted from the sky, crashing into the ground with thunderous impact, sending shockwaves rippling through the battlefield.

At the same time, Ethan’s system notifications started going off like rapid-fire, one after another, flooding his ears.

"ROOOAAARRR!"

"DIE!!"

Seeing all this unfold, Shadow Dragon Vorundar finally snapped. He’d been holding back, reluctant to step in directly—but his rage had reached a boiling point. With a furious roar, he launched himself straight at Seraphina, murder in his eyes.

"Withering Breath!"

But this time, someone was already waiting for him.

"Venomous Dragon Breath..."

With a guttural roar, Thandor—the ancient Green Dragon warrior—unleashed the full force of his long-prepared ultimate skill. His Venomous Dragon Breath erupted in a torrent of raw, corrosive power.

BOOM!

RUMMMMMMBLE...

The two devastating forces collided mid-air, and the result was nothing short of apocalyptic.

It was like a storm born to end worlds—an explosion of energy so massive, so destructive, it tore through the sky and shook the earth. The shockwave that followed blasted across the battlefield like a tidal wave of annihilation.

Even the Hero Units of Emerald Castle and the Dungeon Lords locked in combat were caught in the blast radius. The sheer force of it sent them flying, bodies tumbling through the air like rag dolls, crashing into the ground or slamming into each other.

Just staying on their feet became a struggle.

"So this... this is what a true King-tier powerhouse looks like?" Elynn muttered, her voice trembling with awe and fear. "It’s insane... Even Seraphina wouldn’t stand a chance against that."

Her eyes were wide, the fear in them unmistakable.

Dungeon King.

That title wasn’t just for show.

A divine-level existence.

And that wasn’t just a fancy label either.

This kind of overwhelming, godlike power—it was unstoppable. It tore through everything like paper. It was terrifying beyond belief. If any of them from Emerald Castle had to face that thing alone... it’d be a death sentence. No question. There was no way they could stand up to something like that.

And yet, even with all that power, Shadow Dragon Vorundar was still being completely suppressed—pinned down by Thandor, the Green Dragon elder.

"Thandor’s still this strong even in a weakened state?" Ethan murmured, eyes narrowing as he watched the clash unfold. "Is it because of his level? His Hero Tier? Or maybe it’s just a racial advantage?"

Shadow Dragons were a rare, hidden unit type—classified as Tier 13 Legendary Units. But unlike the Gem Dragons, who were known for being top-tier across the board, Shadow Dragons weren’t quite on that level.

From what Ethan knew, Shadow Dragons were technically part of the dragon race, but they leaned more toward spellcasting than physical combat. Their melee capabilities were average at best. And their true strength only came out in dark environments—shadows, caves, night battles.

Anywhere else? They were... underwhelming.

Green Dragons, on the other hand, were a different story. They were the signature Legendary Unit of the Forest faction. Sure, they weren’t as powerful as the top-tier races like Devils, Angels, or Red Dragons, but they were solid mid-tier contenders.

Probably a bit stronger than Shadow Dragons overall.

And when you factored in the level gap and the difference in Hero Tier between Thandor and Vorundar... yeah, the power imbalance made a lot more sense.
