Chapter 338: Domineering, furious, and unstoppable

"Wait, Lilith’s almost level 55 too?" Ethan suddenly noticed her level had already hit 54. She was just one step away from her second awakening, and that immediately drew his attention.

Unlike Seraphina, who was a full-on frontline warrior, Lilith was more of an assassin-type hero—deadly in single-target combat, but with weak defense and almost no area-of-effect attacks.

So in massive battles like this one,

Lilith’s kill rate should’ve been pretty slow.

But this time, there were plenty of opportunities for her to pick off stragglers. Plus, she was only a C-rank orange Legendary hero, which meant she didn’t need as much XP to level up. That made her progression surprisingly fast.

Not long after,

Lilith suddenly seemed to sense something. Her figure flickered and vanished into the shadows, slipping away from the battlefield.

"Lord Ethan, I believe I’m about to undergo my second awakening," she said respectfully, appearing behind Ethan and Elynn.

"Do it here. We’ll keep watch," Ethan nodded.

"Yes, my lord." Lilith gave a small nod and began the awakening process.

"ROAR!"

A dragon’s roar echoed out as a massive shadowy image of a Black Dragon appeared behind her. A terrifying surge of dark energy poured into her body, and in the blink of an eye, she was engulfed in a massive sphere of swirling black light.

"A Black Dragon?" Ethan blinked, clearly surprised.

"Lilith carries dragon blood. That’s why she’s part of the Dragonblood Elves," Elynn said, her eyes gleaming. "If I had to guess, the dragon in her lineage must’ve been a Black Dragon."

"Yeah... that makes sense," Ethan nodded. Meanwhile, Lilith’s transformation continued. Her aura grew stronger and stronger until finally, the black sphere shattered—and she stepped out, reborn.

Whoosh!

Her long, deep violet hair floated in the air. Her dusky skin was now etched with fearsome dragon-scale patterns, pulsing with raw power. Darkness coiled around her like a living force—almost like she carried her own domain.

In her hand, she held a dark crimson dagger, radiating a chilling, blood-soaked aura that made your skin crawl just looking at it.

"My lord, I feel your glory. Thank you for your blessing and your gift," Lilith said, dropping to one knee with reverence.

Overall Rating: A-Rank Orange Legendary Hero!

"...Damn, that’s impressive." Ethan’s mouth hung open slightly, clearly taken aback.

Compared to her previous set of talents, Lilith had gained a new skill—Cold-Blooded Strike—and it was a game-changer. A skill that boosted critical hits, deadly strikes, and even had a chance for triple damage—and it could stack? That was practically a god-tier ability for assassin-type Hero Units.

The potential ceiling on that skill was insane.

If her luck held out... she might even start brushing up against the power level of a Crimson Ultimate hero.

"Lilith, get back in the fight," Ethan said, turning to her.

"Yes, my lord." Lilith gave a small nod, then melted into the shadows and slipped back onto the battlefield.

At the same time, the battle between Seraphina, the Black Dragons, and the Dungeon Lords had reached a fever pitch.

"They’re really going at it..." Ethan muttered, eyes locked on the sky where Seraphina was locked in a brutal clash with her enemies.

Seraphina was undeniably powerful now—but even with her strength, the relentless, all-out assault from the Black Dragons and Dungeon Lords was taking its toll. Her health bar had already dropped to nearly half.

In other words, regardless of how the fight ended, this force—three hundred Black Dragons and seven Dungeon Lords—was strong enough to pose a real threat to Seraphina’s life.

That said, the enemies she was facing—the Black Dragons and those Dungeon Lords—they weren’t exactly having a great time either.

"Damn... this is intense," Elynn muttered, her voice low and serious. "In just this short time, Her Highness Seraphina has already taken down nearly a hundred Black Dragons! And those Dungeon Lords—if she hadn’t been holding back, a few of them would be dead by now."

To be able to hold her ground against three hundred Black Dragons and seven Dungeon Lords—and still manage to kill nearly a third of the dragons? That was nothing short of insane. And this was with Seraphina clearly restraining herself.

If she hadn’t been ordered not to kill the Dungeon Lords first,

this whole battle would’ve tipped over in an instant.

Even so, it was becoming more and more obvious—

This fight was way tougher than the last one,

but the tide was still leaning in Seraphina’s favor. If it came down to the wire, she was the one most likely to walk away the victor.

"Screeeech!!"

Just then, another wave of Black Dragons—dozens of them—launched a coordinated assault, swarming toward Seraphina in a frenzy.

The brutality of the battle had completely unleashed the savage instincts buried deep in the Black Dragons’ blood. Their eyes glowed blood-red, faces twisted with rage, bodies covered in wounds—but they still charged forward like unstoppable beasts, radiating murderous intent.

But Seraphina’s counterattack?

It was even more ferocious—utterly terrifying.

Surrounded by dozens of dragons, she didn’t just hold her ground—she tore through them like a storm. Her claws slashed through the air, ignoring the barrage of attacks, and then—

"Splat!"

One of the massive Black Dragons was ripped apart mid-air, its body torn into chunks and sent crashing to the ground in a rain of gore.

"Boom!"

And then it got worse. Seraphina’s claws suddenly ignited with a hellish green-black flame—poisonous and burning with a sinister glow. With a roar, she drove her claw upward in a brutal arc, slamming it into one of the Dungeon Lords.

The impact sent the massive creature flying,

its body crashing into the side of a towering cliff—

and pinning it there like a nailed corpse.

"BOOOOM!"

The entire cliffside exploded on impact, shattering like glass. A massive crater opened up where the Dungeon Lord hit, the shockwave rumbling like an earthquake.

"ROOOAAARRR!!!"

"You worthless trash... If you weren’t still useful, I would’ve slaughtered you all already!"

Seraphina’s voice thundered across the battlefield like a wrathful god descending from the heavens—domineering, furious, and unstoppable.
