Chapter 327: Elven Unicorn Knight
Chapter 327: Elven Unicorn Knight
Just thinking about it made Ethan feel a little helpless—and honestly, kind of heavy-hearted.
"If I’d known it’d turn out like this, I wouldn’t have let Isaryne go back... Who knows if she’ll even make it back in time to help us!"
Sure, Isaryne was a Firebird Hero—fast as hell—but even with her speed, going from the first floor of the Dungeon back to her roost, and then rushing all the way to Emerald Castle... that’d take at least two days, minimum. And by then? This war might already be over.
In other words, the upcoming battle would most likely fall entirely on Emerald Castle’s shoulders.
And that... was definitely not good news.
But it was too late to change anything now. All he could do was grit his teeth and push through.
"Auremax..." Ethan turned toward him.
"My Lord, your command?" Auremax responded respectfully.
"I’ve got an important mission for you. Head out right now and scout the Dungeon army’s movements—especially the Dungeon Lords. I need to know if they’re heading straight for Emerald Castle," Ethan said, his voice low and serious.
"Yes, sir!"
Auremax gave a sharp nod, then immediately turned and launched into the sky, vanishing into the clouds above.
"Seraphina..." Ethan called again.
"Master," she answered, eyes on him instantly.
"I need you to head out to sea and bring back Cicero, Kyros, and Lilith—all three of them. And while you’re at it, recall every single 12-Tier Royal Unit, 13-Tier Legendary Unit, and 14-Tier Mythic Unit whose souls are bound to Emerald Castle."
"We can’t afford to hold back anymore. It’s time to go all in. We’re on the clock—move fast and come back faster," Ethan ordered, his tone sharp and urgent.
"As you command, Master." Seraphina nodded and turned, heading straight for the magic portal.
"Elynn..." Ethan turned to her next. He was about to assign her a task too, but the words caught in his throat.
Because right then, something about her struck him—her Hero Tier, listed on her status panel: S-Rank, Epic (Purple). No matter how he looked at it, it just felt... off. Like it didn’t belong anymore.
"S-Rank Epic... yeah, that’s starting to stick out like a sore thumb," Ethan muttered to himself, shaking his head.
Then, without another word, he made up his mind.
He reached into his system inventory and pulled out a Hero Tier Upgrade Scroll—an orange one he’d gotten not too long ago.
He handed it to Elynn.
"Elynn, you’ve been working hard. This is your reward."
She’d been with him from the very beginning—one of his original Hero Units. Sure, her race and potential weren’t anything special on paper, but Ethan had always had a soft spot for her.
And honestly, she’d earned it.
More importantly, he’d seen everything she’d done—the effort, the loyalty, the results.
Maybe she wasn’t always number one, but she was always in the top three.
So yeah, giving her an orange-tier Hero Upgrade Scroll?
Totally deserved.
"Thank you for your blessing, my honored Master!"
Elynn was visibly overwhelmed, her voice trembling with excitement as she stepped forward respectfully. Her hands reached out, reverently accepting the Hero Tier Upgrade Scroll (Orange) from Ethan, her face glowing with pride and deep gratitude.
Thud!
RUMMMMMMBLE...
In the very next instant, the scroll dissolved into a blinding beam of raw, terrifying power—pure law energy—that surged straight into Elynn’s body, engulfing her completely.
At the same time, magical energy and elemental forces from all directions came rushing in like a tidal wave. The sheer intensity caused golden cracks to appear across Elynn’s body, glowing with divine brilliance. And just then, Ethan heard the system chime in his ear:
"Player Valkarion’s Elven Pegasus Knight, Elynn, has used a Hero Tier Upgrade Scroll (Orange). Evolution initiated!"
Ding!
"Evolution complete!"
"Elven Pegasus Knight Elynn has evolved into Elven Unicorn Knight. Hero level decreased by 20."
"Elven Unicorn Knight?" Ethan’s eyes narrowed with interest.
Elynn had originally been a 10-Tier special hidden unit—an Elven Pegasus Knight Hero. But now, after evolving, she’d become something new: an Elven Unicorn Knight. Just from the name alone, Ethan could tell it had to be connected to the Forest faction’s 11-Tier Unicorn units.
So this new form... was likely an 11-Tier special hidden unit?
But before Ethan could dig deeper into the implications, the golden cracks covering Elynn’s body suddenly began to spread with a sharp crack-crack-crack, then shattered completely—
Like a cocoon breaking open.
BOOM!
A burst of radiant, holy white light exploded outward.
Floating in midair, Elynn’s long emerald-green hair flowed like silk in the wind. The divine light surrounding her was pure and flawless, and from within it emerged a majestic, awe-inspiring unicorn—graceful, powerful, and absolutely massive.
Atop the unicorn, Elynn now wore gleaming armor etched with glowing magical runes. A shimmering elven rune-blade hung at her waist, and she looked every bit the part of a sacred warrior—noble, radiant, and utterly commanding.
But more than just her appearance had changed.
Ethan could feel it—clear as day. That unmistakable aura of an Orange-tier Legendary Hero now radiated from her in waves.
From Purple Epic to Orange Legendary...
She had truly leveled up.
"Elynn, congratulations," Ethan said with a proud smile.
Elynn dismounted gracefully, stepping forward with reverence. She knelt before him on one knee, head bowed low, her voice steady and full of heartfelt sincerity.
"Honored Master, thank you... for granting me a new life."
At the same time, Elynn’s newly reborn stats finally appeared before Ethan’s eyes.
[Elynn]
Gender: Female

Hero Unit Tier: 11-Tier
Attack: 155 (272)

Hero Skills: Armorer, Offense, Tactics...
Hero Talent:Elven Unicorn Knight Master Trainer
(Can fuse and train 10-Tier Elven Pegasus Knights and 11-Tier Unicorns into the special 11-Tier unit: Elven Unicorn Knight)
Overall Rating: C-Rank Legendary Hero (56%)
"C-Rank, huh... Jumped straight to C in one go. Not bad at all," Ethan murmured, a hint of surprise and satisfaction in his voice.
Sure, the scroll’s description did say that the lower the original tier, the greater the upgrade effect—but it was still a gamble. Getting a clean jump like this? That took luck.
And clearly, Elynn had it.
A C-Rank Orange Legendary Hero might not be top-tier firepower for Emerald Castle right now, but it was definitely solid. At the very least, she was comfortably mid-tier.
More importantly, just like before, Elynn’s talents were still focused on strategy and logistics.
And that kind of support talent? Invaluable.
That one ability alone—Elven Unicorn Knight Master Trainer—was enough to bump her strategic value up by at least one or two levels. Being able to train a rare 11-Tier special unit? That was huge.
All in all, this evolution was a big win.
The only downside?
Because she’d evolved from an S-Rank Epic (Purple) Hero to a C-Rank Legendary (Orange), her level had dropped from 53 to 33.
But honestly? That didn’t matter much.
Legendary Heroes required way more XP to level up anyway. And Elynn’s role in Emerald Castle had always leaned more toward command and logistics than frontline combat.
So her level wasn’t as critical.
Besides, as long as Emerald Castle stood, Ethan would make sure she leveled up again. Hero Tier upgrades, on the other hand? Those were way harder to come by.
"Alright, Elynn, you can get up now. Things are moving fast—I’ve got an important task for you," Ethan said, shaking off his thoughts and turning serious again.
"Yes, Master! I’m ready for your orders!" Elynn responded immediately, rising to her feet with crisp precision.
"I need you to compile detailed intel on the Dungeon faction’s lords in Sylvanwood. Get me everything—names, forces, movements, alliances. And in one hour, call a full assembly."
"As for the meeting location... we’ll hold it in the plaza beneath the Grand Council Hall."
"Understood, Master! I’ll get on it right away!"
