Chapter 111: Elder Brother Ouyang Hao
Chapter 111: Chapter 111: Elder Brother Ouyang Hao
Lin Yixun was woken up by pain in the morning. She regretted it a bit. Although she had enjoyed the hot pot meal the previous day, her stomach paid the price. It seemed like she shouldn’t indulge like that in the future.
She squatted in the bathroom for a long time, initially considering asking Ouyang Hao for a leave. However, she felt bad since she seemed to have been taking leave quite often lately.
Ouyang Hao seemed very busy these days and didn’t have time to pay attention to her. She enjoyed her freedom, and after cleaning the house, she happily got off work.
That day, just as she finished cleaning and was preparing to leave, she suddenly heard the doorbell. She looked at the security camera and saw a handsome man.
The man’s looks were somewhat similar to Ouyang Hao’s, but his features were more defined, and he lacked Ouyang Hao’s devilish charm. Instead, he had a bit of a stern air about him.
She thought that this person must be a relative of Ouyang Hao and opened the door without further thought. As she opened the door, she casually observed the man in front of her. He was around 1.85 meters tall, with a tall and straight figure, very handsome, and had a strong presence.
"Sir, may I ask who you are?"
"I am Ouyang Hao’s brother. Is Hao here?"
"Oh, you must be Mr. Ouyang. Mr. Ouyang is at work and it might be a while before he gets back. Would you like to come in and sit for a while?"
The man nodded, changed his shoes, and walked into the living room. Lin Yixun, with her height of a little over 1.60 meters, felt significantly shorter beside him and sensed a huge difference in their presence.
Lin Yixun secretly sighed, thinking the Ouyang family had pretty good genes.
"Mr. Ouyang, would you like some coffee or green tea?"
"Coffee, thank you," the man said expressionlessly.
"Alright." Lin Yixun nodded, smiled politely at the man, and said, "I will go make some coffee for you. Please make yourself comfortable."
Lin Yixun turned around slowly and walked towards the kitchen, thinking to herself, "Is this really Ouyang Hao’s elder brother? How come his personality is so different from Ouyang Hao’s? Isn’t he a bit too serious?"
Lin Yixun suddenly realized that she had gotten quite used to Ouyang Hao’s flippant attitude. Meeting someone so serious felt a bit unnatural to her.
Lin Yixun entered the pantry and decided to call Ouyang Hao to inform him.
On the other end of the line, hearing that Ouyang Che had arrived at the apartment, Ouyang Hao nearly fell off his folding chair. "What, you said my brother is here?"
"Mr. Ouyang is still in the living room, seemingly waiting for you to come back. It looks like he has something to talk to you about."
"Tell him I’m busy!" This brother of his, visiting with no good reason, definitely meant trouble.
"Is that... appropriate?" It wasn’t often that his brother came by. Would it be inappropriate to treat him like this?
"Just tell him I have to attend a charity event tonight and won’t be back for a while."
"Alright then."
So, Lin Yixun carried the coffee into the living room and said quietly to the man, "Sir, here is your coffee."
"Thank you." The man moved his lips politely, but his tone conveyed distance.
Lin Yixun had met all sorts of people, and it was clear that this man was not easy to get along with. She wasn’t surprised, after all, Ouyang Hao himself wasn’t an easy person to deal with either. There’s a saying that goes, "Birds of a feather flock together."
Even while drinking coffee, every subtle movement of the man exuded an invisible elegance. Clearly, he was very well-educated. This was quite different from Ouyang Hao.
Lin Yixun hesitated for a moment but ultimately decided to speak softly, "Sir, I just called Mr. Ouyang. He mentioned that he has to attend a charity event tonight and might not be back for a while."
