Chapter 72: Chapter 72- Seleyena is horny (1)
"...." Ytrisia didn’t understand what he meant—she just stared calmly until she noticed his eyes glued to her chest.
On reflex, she folded her arms, but all it did was squeeze her perky, latex-covered breasts together, making them pop like a goddamn invitation.
She wasn’t trying to be a tease, but the way her curves strained against that tight, shiny fabric... he was practically eye-fucking her.
"I don’t get what you’re planning. Why are you even targeting the Villain Syndicate? That’s not your problem."
Cruxius’s eyes lingered—naturally, on the things that might slightly lift his mood or turn him on, considering he was planning to have some fun tonight.
Of course, not with Ytrisia or anyone forcefully. He was, after all, a man who knew how to create opportunities in a woman’s heart—and his target was someone else...
"I didn’t plan any of this," he said, his voice softer now, more grounded, while clearly taking out his phone. He continued speaking, "I just wanted to live. Enjoy my time. But then... a hero from the Hero Association attacked me. No warning. No reason. Just because I was a simple, powerless human?"
His fingers tapped rhythmically on the caller ID of a number he got from Darithi—belonging to a supervillain named Stumili. "That’s when I realized something. They weren’t protectors. They were puppets in polished masks. And the Villain Syndicate? Just the same rot in a different suit."
Ytrisia’s expression shifted, the sharpness fading to a flicker of concern.
She knew that the reason he tapped on his phone while talking was to mask the vulnerability and chaos in his voice.
She spoke softly, seeing through his pain. "So now you want to take them all down yourself?" she asked quietly. "You think you can actually do that?"
Cruxius leaned forward, both hands typing a message—and even processing a transaction. His voice dropped into that velvet tone he knew she couldn’t quite ignore.
"Of course," he said, locking eyes with her. "If you’re with me, Ytrisia."
She blinked, her breath hitching just slightly. The words caught her off guard—unexpected, unguarded.
"Wh-what?" Ytrisia barely managed to respond, her confusion starting to show—until he suddenly cut her off, as if just receiving confirmation about something.
"Turn the car toward the airport. HURRY!" he shouted, acting panicked—though everything had already been arranged.
Or... a heart he was going to claim tonight.
’!’
"What happened?" Ytrisia asked, still staring at him in confusion. Everyone, including the driver, seemed taken aback by his panicked voice—but without delay, the car sped toward the airport.
Cruxius, seeing their state, though inwardly smirked, but on the surface showed clear urgency, "Dr. Seleyena is in danger!? Thalia’s mother had sent a supervillain for Seleyena!"
"Huh? But Master, why... I see." Darithi found the Hispanic district to be strange, but the statement she heard was confusing, especially considering what had happened in the hospital regarding that supervillain who could enhance some kind of trait.
It had nothing to do with the direct involvement of Dr. Seleyena.
However, she could see through her master, halting and changing her words as she straightened her gaze.
This left only Ytrisia in shock.
------
Far away in Northeastern Europe.
The black sedan glided across the empty highway, its polished body catching glints of the dawning sun.
Inside, the air hummed with quiet tension, matching the silence of the road stretching endlessly ahead.
Dr. Seleyena sat behind the wheel, one hand loosely gripping the leather, the other lifting a phone to her ear.
She wore her hospital attire still—white coat unbuttoned to reveal a crisp blouse tucked into a tailored pencil skirt, heels off and tossed onto the passenger seat.
Her glasses sat slightly crooked on the bridge of her nose, her hair pulled back in a no-nonsense bun that had loosened over the day.
"Haah..." A sigh slipped from her lips, light and tired.
Her thumb hovered a moment before she pressed the call button again.
Beep... Beep...
The automated voice replied—again.
"We are not authorized to connect you with any member of the Blac family. Please refrain from further attempts."
Click.
She stared at the screen, her jaw tightening slightly.
The irritation wasn’t new, but this time there was something more bitter lingering behind her composed expression.
Her brows furrowed and her fingers found her temple, rubbing gently as if she could knead the memory away.
"I didn’t mean to accept it," she muttered aloud, eyes on the road, voice low. "I was flustered... I wasn’t thinking."
The words felt thin, even to herself. She wasn’t someone who lost control easily.
But back in the hospital cabin, something had broken her professional rhythm.
The sudden presence of him—heir to the Blac family—had been like a crack in a glass pane.
Upon first seeing the weak girl whose drink was spiked by the son of the hospital dean, her sister considered Cruxius Blac to be a perverted man. Even Jake, the dean’s son, stated the same thing.
Then she saw how Cruxius Black was trying to take responsibility for his mistakes... all just made her even more confused.
But then—
The image hit her again—clear as day.
Her fingers trembling as they reached for his pants, lowering them to let his shaft spring up, thick. Her breath caught when she realized what she was doing—what part of him she was touching—only to look up and see those cold, observing eyes watching her as he firmly ordered her.
A situation where normally she would have rejected even taking initiative.
And yet, she hadn’t stopped.
Seleyena let out a soft groan of self-frustration, fingers tightening on the wheel. "What the hell was I thinking..."
Her calm now was carefully stitched, a mask she knew how to wear well.
But underneath, confusion stirred.
Not guilt, exactly, but something dangerously adjacent.
And the fact that she couldn’t understand why she had acted so out of character unsettled her.
The car began to hum louder as she increased speed slightly, hoping the motion would clear her head.
Just ahead, the road curved around a sparse woodland stretch, shadows falling long and soft over the asphalt.
Then—
Headlights flared in her rearview mirror. One car.
Then another.
She blinked, reflexively glancing at the side mirrors.
BAM!
