After arriving at the film crew, Wen Qiao felt that something was off. Crew members would occasionally glance at her, then quickly look away.

Gossip was in human nature, and the entertainment industry was a hotbed for rumors. Having an issue with people from the same crew was unusual if nothing seemed amiss.

Having been shooting for more than a week, Wen Qiao was lively; she greeted everyone she saw, shared tasty treats she occasionally found, never skimped on politeness, and sometimes arrived early to help set up props. Apart from Director Zhang, everyone else in the crew quite liked her.

But now, not a single person came over to talk to her. Wen Qiao was prepared for this and didn’t feel anything amiss. Before the rumors were cleared up, nobody wanted to stir up trouble.

She wasn’t worried about her shadow being crooked as long as she stood straight; let people say what they would. Once Jiang Yao found the evidence and clarified things directly, it would be much more effective than making futile excuses.

Song Qian arrived early every day to set up the scene. Seeing Wen Qiao, he greeted her as enthusiastically as ever, "Your scene doesn’t start until ten today, why did you come so early?"

Wen Qiao responded gloomily, "Isn’t it because I messed up and need to show some good behavior?"

"If I hadn’t seen Luo Bin being carried out last night with my own eyes, and if you hadn’t raised my game rank by a whole tier last night," Song Qian mercilessly exposed her pretense, "I might have believed what you said."

Song Qian pulled out his phone, opened his gallery, and played a video about five seconds long showing Luo Bin being dragged away by two security guards by his arms and legs.

Initially, Song Qian didn’t think much of it and found it amusing, so he casually recorded a video to share as a fun story of the day with his childhood friend.

It was only later that it dawned on him that practically everyone living on that floor was from the "Red Makeup" crew. Upon closer inspection, he realized the person being dragged away was Luo Bin and, seeing the carpet wrinkled outside Wen Qiao’s room door, guessed what had happened.

When the gossip hit the trending searches, Song Qian was one of the first from the crew to see it and the first to defend Wen Qiao publicly.

He had started playing with social media in high school and had quite a few followers. However, without clear evidence to corroborate the story, netizens wouldn’t just take his word for it.

He sent the video to Wen Qiao, "Although it doesn’t capture the entire process, it should help a bit."

Although the video couldn’t completely prove that nothing untoward had happened between Wen Qiao and Luo Bin, it was still a piece of evidence.

"Thanks, I’ll treat you to dinner another day," Wen Qiao sincerely thanked him and forwarded the video to Jiang Yao, briefly explaining where it came from.
