My Soul card is a Reaper
Chapter 796 - 796: The world of Irth (part-62)

The school gates stood tall and gleaming, morning sun bouncing off their steel curves.

Orion walked through them with his bag slung lazily over one shoulder. He looked like any other student—just a tired teenager starting another ordinary day. But inside, he was anything but.

He hadn't slept well, and not just because of the trauma from the night before, but also the fact that he slept on a sofa that only comes to his knees.

However, his day didn't turn out better.

The moment he stepped into the corridor, whispers followed him like shadows.

"Hey, look. It's Orion…"

"Heard that his pool party became a mess. He was dragged by his mother's robots."

"Well, he gets to enjoy an orgy…"

"I heard that Zia was there at the party, and this young master plucked her fruit? Is that true?"

"Hey, shut up, who told you that. Zia is the last living goddess of our academy who resists him. Don't spread unnecessary rumors."

"Didn't know his dad was still alive. Thought he dipped forever."

"Yeah, showed up outta nowhere, full of flair. What a joke."

"Orion looked so tired. Did he have a fight with his dad or something?"

"Perhaps, it is possible. I mean that fellow has disappeared for 18 years."

"What does he do anyway? Some news channels say that he is a foreign spy. Some say that he is a corporate spy who ran away with the money, leaving the pregnant girl. And some even say that he is dragged back by his parents as they don't approve of Ms. Leiza or something."

Orion ignored it. He had grown used to gossip at this school. People always had something to say. But today it felt heavier because the topic was his dad.

He reached his locker, opened it, and began pulling out his materials for first period when he heard a low snicker.

"Yo, Young Master… you seem quite disturbed…"

Orion narrowed his eyes and cast a sidelong glance.

Three guys stood a few steps down the hall. One of them, Kasden, had a permanent smirk like he was the main character in a bad action movie. The other two, Oric and Tave, leaned on the lockers, clearly enjoying themselves.

Orion walked past them without a word.

Kasden grinned. "What?" he taunted in a sing-song voice. "It really looks like your dad's return disturbed you. Why? Fearing that you are no longer her first priority or something?"

As Orion halted his footsteps, Oric added with a smirk on his face. "Of course, isn't that goes without saying, Brother? Mrs Garcia can f**k his father."

Tave added. "Who knows… I mean, if we consider this guy's lust levels, we can imagine his parents have the same levels of lust. Considering she has been so long, I wouldn't be surprised he was sexually educated by that hot mom of his."

The hallway quieted at that remark, and Orion turned back slowly, his eyes cold. "What did you just say?" Orion said, stepping forward toward him.

"Chill out, we are praising your mom's figure only." Kasden sneered. "After all, she is so hot that every boy wants to…"

He didn't get to finish that sentence as Orion moved fast, clenching his fist

The first punch broke Kasden's nose.

The second knocked out at least two teeth.

Oric barely got a hand up before Orion's knee cracked into his ribs.

Tave tried to run—he made it two steps before Orion slammed him into a locker door hard enough to dent it.

By the time a teacher managed to intervene, three students were groaning on the floor, bleeding and bruised, one of them barely conscious. The school nurse rushed in minutes later, calling for med-bots.

Orion stood over them, breathing heavily, blood on his knuckles. "You three have a lot of courage to dare to insult my mother."

Meanwhile, not far away, watching it from the corner of the corridor, a boy smirked, crossing his arms to his chest. "How dare you charm my ex-girlfriend and make out with her in front of my very eyes. Today, not even your mother will be able to save you. Suspension will be the least of your worries."

A while later;

Principal Damlen sat across from him, face stern and unreadable. The office was quiet except for the distant whirring of a ceiling fan.

"Student Orion," Damlen said slowly, "this is not your first incident. During the past six months, you beat up students and sent them to the hospital three times. The doctors informed me that two of them have fractured ribs, and one's jaw is broken."

Orion didn't answer. He simply stared at the principal with clenched fists.

"I'm not going to ask what they said to provoke you. I've already reviewed the recordings," the principal continued. "Their words were disgusting and crossed several lines, but your actions were too much to the point that I can't even ignore it on the account of your mother anymore.

Orion's jaw clenched. "So?"

The Principal said, "For now, you are to be suspended for one month. If their parents file a lawsuit, the school will not protect you."

"Whatever… I don't care…"

Orion casually waved his hand and turned around to leave the office.

"Orion… stop there… wait… You don't understand…" The Principal tried to talk, but Orion pushed the doors away and left.

The Principal rested his elbows on the table as he grabbed his head in a mix of frustration and anger. "This damn brat… he didn't even understand what he had done… Ugh… why do these rich parents just spoil their kids like that…"

After leaving the school, Orion directly hopped into the car he had parked in the parking lot and hit the accelerator.

Neon lights flickered over Orion's face as he sat in the back of the club, hood up, drink in hand. The bass thumped through the floor like a heartbeat, loud enough to drown out his thoughts.

He wasn't drinking anything strong, but the bitter fizz helped dull the edge of his thoughts. The crowd pulsed on the dance floor, all laughter, lights, and motion. But Orion sat still.

"Argh…"

Orion couldn't enjoy the presence of ladies or the music. He paid the bill and got out.

Meanwhile, back at the estate, soft classical music floated in the background as Azzy and Leiza sat in the lounge.

Azzy had the hologram projector on, flipping lazily through memories—little clips of Orion as a child:

A chubby-cheeked toddler trying to climb a training dummy…

A wide-eyed six-year-old losing a baby tooth and panicking like the world had ended…

Leiza's voice in the background, laughing.

Azzy smiled quietly at each one, his thumb swiping through them with care, like they were treasure.

"He really was a little menace, wasn't he?" he murmured.

Leiza sat beside him, sipping tea, her head resting on his shoulder. "He was just adorable back then. I don't know when he changed…"

Before Azzy could react to her statement, Leiza's wristband lit up, pulsing with a call.

PRINCIPAL DAMLEN – DIRECT LINE

Her eyes narrowed. She accepted the call.

"Mrs Garcia," came the voice of the middle-aged man, crisp and tired. "I apologize for the late notice. This is regarding your son."

Her back straightened instantly. "What happened?" She asked.

"There was a violent incident," Damlen said. "Three students are injured badly. Orion lost his cool again, but this time, it is quite serious. We are looking at a lawsuit here. I'm sorry, but suspension has become mandatory now."

Leiza's expression darkened like a storm rolling in. "Where is that brat?" She asked. She didn't even ask why her son did that. She automatically assumed that her son was at fault because she knew his tendencies towards violence.

"Madam, I understand your anger…"

"You don't," she snapped. "You have no idea."

The call ended with a sharp flick of her wrist.

She stood up, pacing, arms folded tightly. "That stupid brat… I told him many times to control his anger and strength. Now, he went ahead and beat up civilians…"

Azzy didn't move. He was still staring at the paused hologram of baby Orion biting into a lemon and making the most dramatic face imaginable.

"Let me handle it," he said quietly.

Leiza stopped, eyes flashing. "Rael…"

He looked at her now calmly and said. "You will only make this worse. Let me handle Orion. You take care of the company. I bet, by now, the videos or the articles must have already been published on the internet."

Leiza exhaled to control her emotions. "Alright."
