So Gary threw all kinds of flattering comments its way and even took out some high-concentration Life Honey that was crafted from the Void Nest as a gift.

Although the benefits it brought were minuscule, the Void Heavenly Crystal Beast still ate it with joy, for any Companion Beast other than the Undead series found replenishing life energy to be an extremely pleasant process.

Its opinion of Gary rose even higher.

This lad is on the right path!

Though Thomas Brown found it strange how quickly his own Companion Beast and Gary got along, he didn’t take it to heart and spoke up:

"You’ve almost caused a stir at Imperial Capital University; how am I supposed to be well!"

Originally he had planned to attend and comfort the new students, but seeing Gary up to something again, he decided to prevent any complications by opting for a private conversation instead.

"That was all thanks to your guidance, Headmaster!" Gary revealed a shy smile.

"Hmm?"

Gary continued, "The principles that you set up for Imperial Capital University, ’Let the capable ones occupy the positions,’ have made a deep impression on me. I strive not to let you down!"

"You’re quite the talker, aren’t you? I haven’t even settled the score with you regarding the Toad Skin!"

Thomas Brown shook his head, sounding somewhat helpless.

Although the Toad Skin was still in his hands, its value had been greatly reduced after Gary’s mysterious egg had taken away much of its Spiritual Power.

After all, the foundation of the World is Spiritual Power!

Upon hearing this, Gary just chuckled naively, seemingly oblivious to the implications.

The Spiritual Power of the Toad’s son had been successfully reared in the Meadow, with half becoming Divine waste and the other half transforming into Heavenly Breathing and a mysterious Key.

These secrets involved were vast; they were impossible to return. If push came to shove, Gary would have to forfeit his Reward as the King of the Newcomers.

"Don’t worry, I am not so petty to go back on my word over a bit of Spiritual Power left by an Upper Being, even if it were from a real one. After all, when I took up the position of School Headmaster, it was also my hope to cultivate more geniuses for the Human Clan." Thomas Brown guessed Gary’s thoughts, chuckled lightly, and turned around.

Much of the Light’s essence was imprisoned on the Toad Skin, being eroded away.

This is a small piece of the world barrier I pried away from the Eco-realm back then; I was nearly hunted to death by those winged beings for it. It contains some peculiar Holy Light Pollution and a False Divinity. Ordinary Giants cannot withstand it and would be eroded, but for me, it’s not too bad.

Although there were a few hiccups, it provided me with quite a bit of inspiration, and then I took on this appearance, which should probably be called the ’Faceless Holy Light’ form. The only consolation is that my strength has improved a lot, but now I have to maintain this form for a while.

Gary maintained his silence; the more he said, the more likely he was to err.

He felt fortunate he had chosen the Legendary Skill Protector of Destiny, which could shield him from any scrutiny below the level of a True King, thus sparing him from much trouble.

Otherwise, like now, with Thomas Brown clearly gathering abilities related to Holy Light, if he knew Gary possessed Heavenly Breathing, capable of stealing the essence of power from Pure White Heaven that originated from the Ancestral Toad, he might indeed become covetous.

It could jeopardize his own safety!
