Chapter 245: Chapter 242: Brother Liang Wants to Be a Little Brother
Suddenly, Brother Liang led his group of subordinates into the breakfast shop, surrounding Ye Fan and Ye Juanjuan.
"You must be Ye Fan," Brother Liang spoke with interest, his gaze assessing Ye Fan, seemingly trying to confirm something.
"If you don’t want to die, get out of my way," Ye Fan said displeased. He didn’t want to bully the weak; dealing with these small fries was pointless. But if these people were insensible, he didn’t mind teaching them a lesson.
"Kid, you’re quite arrogant, daring to act so boldly in front of Brother Liang. I see you’re tired of living," a lackey immediately expressed dissatisfaction, locking eyes full of murderous intent on Ye Fan.
Brother Liang spoke slowly, "I know you have some skills, but there’s this young girl beside you. If a fight breaks out, you might not be able to protect her, and it wouldn’t be good to harm the innocent."
"I’ll give you three seconds. Leave, immediately." Ye Fan was annoyed.
"Ha ha," Brother Liang laughed oddly, disregarding Ye Fan’s words and signaled to his lackeys.
"Kid, first kneel and apologize to Brother Liang, then face your death." Immediately, eight lackeys attacked Ye Fan and Ye Juanjuan from different directions, fists waving, enveloping them.
"Die!" Ye Fan’s face turned cold. They had repeatedly provoked him and even dared threaten Ye Juanjuan, which had long displeased him. Seeing the eight people make a move, he picked up eight chopsticks, casually throwing them. Instantly, the attackers widened their terrified eyes, clutching their throats, as the chopsticks pierced through each of their throats, accompanied by heavy gasps, blood gushing out.
Brother Liang’s subordinates were filled with fear, involuntarily stepping back a few paces, staring at Ye Fan in shock.
The eight lackeys abruptly collapsed to the ground, barely breathing, nearing death.
Brother Liang didn’t retreat a step; his eyes shone brightly with a hint of regret. Eight lackeys had died just like that, leaving him unwilling to accept it. He hadn’t anticipated Ye Fan to be so ruthless. If he had, he wouldn’t have let the eight attack.
"Take them outside and wait," Brother Liang instructed his subordinates.
"Yes," the lackeys hesitated, then followed Brother Liang’s orders, carrying the eight bodies out of the breakfast shop.
"Brother Ye," once the lackeys left and there were no outsiders in the breakfast shop, Brother Liang’s knees gave way as he knelt down, "Brother Ye, I want to recognize you as a big brother, I want to follow you. The rumor has it you killed the Third Gang Leader of Fierce Tiger Gang, which I didn’t believe, but having witnessed your power just now, I’m thoroughly convinced. That scum of a Third Gang Leader killed my sister; you killed him, avenging me. You’re my great benefactor."
Ye Fan had no reaction to Brother Liang’s gesture, but Ye Juanjuan frowned, disdainfully muttering, "You’re quite shameless, sacrificing eight of your men to test my brother’s strength. I don’t see any good in you. Want to be my brother’s lackey? You’re not qualified. Brother, do you agree with me?"
"Yes." Ye Fan affirmed his sister’s words.
"Big brother, the Fierce Tiger Gang commits many evil deeds, using their numbers to dominate the underground scene. With someone as strong as you, calling for support would definitely rally many to your cause. You’ve killed the Third Gang Leader, and they’ve put a kill order against you, leading to an unending conflict. Even if you don’t resist, you’ll face endless troubles, so please, Brother Ye, consider it thoroughly. I wish to follow you, to carve out a new domain in Dongfang City." Saying this, Brother Liang kowtowed, admitting, "The death of those eight lackeys was due to my mistake, wanting to test your capabilities."
"Let’s go." Ye Fan didn’t want to hear any more chatter and left with Ye Juanjuan.
From start to finish, Ye Fan didn’t pay Brother Liang any attention, disregarding his words.
Watching Ye Fan’s departing figure, Brother Liang sighed, unwillingly saying, "A tiger crossing the river should make a mark and destroy the Fierce Tiger Gang, those local tyrants."
The lackeys appeared beside Brother Liang, not daring to block Ye Fan’s path, unaware of what he talked about with Brother Liang or the kneeling scene.
Brother Liang naturally didn’t want his lackeys to know, fearing betrayal leading to a mortal threat.
Faced with the Fierce Tiger Gang’s overwhelming presence, Brother Liang couldn’t fully trust his lackeys, knowing one or two might betray and sell him out for significant benefits. Such possibilities were high.
"Brother Liang, are we just letting him go without avenging the eight brothers?" a lackey asked indignantly.
"Avenge?" Brother Liang sneered, displeased, "Do we have the strength to kill him? You’ve seen his power; if we all attacked, we’d quickly become corpses."
"Brother Liang makes sense, but watching him leave is frustrating," a lackey protested.
"Stop arguing. In the future, if you don’t want to die, walk away when you see Brother Ye." Brother Liang ordered sternly.
"Yes, we’ll listen to Brother Liang." The lackeys agreed without hesitation.
"I heard Brother Ye is close with Sister Dao; I should send someone to inform her. If Brother Ye decides to challenge the Fierce Tiger Gang, I would definitely become a core force under him," Brother Liang thought.
Qiu Wen, Sister Dao, was gaining more fame in the underworld.
Ye Fan and Ye Juanjuan drove away.
"Brother, is the Fierce Tiger Gang formidable?" Ye Juanjuan asked, worried about her brother facing danger and not knowing much about the gang.
"Just a bunch gathering to bully ordinary people, nothing impressive," Ye Fan replied casually.
If someone knowledgeable heard his assessment of the Fierce Tiger Gang, it was uncertain what expression they’d show.
Anyway, to Ye Fan, the Fierce Tiger Gang truly wasn’t worth mentioning.
"Just a group of bullies who fear the strong, right?" Ye Juanjuan laughed.
"You’re really smart." Ye Fan praised.
"Of course." Ye Juanjuan smugly raised her nose.
After an unsatisfactory breakfast, Ye Juanjuan lost interest in considering what to eat next, instead opting to shop.
Under Ye Juanjuan’s directions, Ye Fan drove towards the mall.
