Returning to Zhou Mansion now, Zhou Shuyan finally had the chance to give Lu Youxi a proper tour.

"It’s too late now, I’m afraid it would be tiring to take you back to my place near the office," Zhou Shuyan said as he showed Lu Youxi around the house and its rooms, "Let’s wait until tomorrow, I’ll take you there. Shall we stay here tonight?"

Aunt Yao had cleaned up a room for Lu Youxi.

The room was right next to Zhou Shuyan’s bedroom.

Seeing Zhou Shuyan’s expression, Xu Jingmin said smugly, "Good thing I had the foresight to prepare Youxi’s bedroom, otherwise would you really expect this kid to convince Youxi to share a room with you?"

"Was just waiting for you; could you take Youxi to school first?" Xu Jingmin asked.

"Sure," Zhou Shuyan nodded and quickly asked Lu Youxi, "Is that okay?"

"..." Lu Youxi coughed, "If possible, drop me off at the west gate where there are fewer people."

"Alright," Zhou Shuyan had no objections.

"I don’t want to hide it, really," Lu Youxi explained proactively, "but... keeping it under wraps makes it easier for me to ’play possum’ in business."

Smelling some gossip material, Xu Jingmin asked, "Have you done this before?"

Lu Youxi then shared with Xu Jingmin the incident where she tricked Zhou Xueyi before.

Jingmin hated Zhou Xueyi so much that it was unbearable, and it just so happened that it made Jingmin slightly happier to listen.

Sure enough, after hearing this, Jingmin laughed so hard, bending forward and backward, "I wish I had been there too."

"I knew you had a plan!" Reassured by Lu Youxi, Jingmin grinned with delight; she had been waiting for Lu Youxi to say exactly that!

"It’s all thanks to you." Jingmin disdainfully pursed her lips at Zhou Shuyan, "Shuyan is just not capable. All these years, he never thought to let me enjoy a spectacle of Zhou Xueyi’s monkey business."

"If you wanted to watch, you should have said so earlier," Zhou Shuyan said helplessly yet with a smile, "This is a common occurrence."

"Look at you, then look at Youxi!" Jingmin complained, "Do I really have to spell it out? Youxi thought of it on her own, why didn’t you?"

After breakfast, Zhou Shuyan and Lu Youxi cleaned up, prepared to go to work and school respectively.

At the door, Jingmin asked, "Where are you staying tonight?"

Zhou Shuyan looked at Lu Youxi and replied with a smile, "It depends on Youxi’s wishes. I plan to take her to my place near Chengzhou to get acquainted first, but where we sleep tonight will be her decision."

"If you’re not too busy, come back here and stay," Lu Youxi thought, considering Jingmin was living here alone, although she had Aunt Yao for company, the place was too big for just the two of them and felt rather empty.
