My Love Debts Are Everywhere!
Chapter 657 - 657: Ceremony and a Sacred Name

"Leon... do you think I might get pregnant... after what we just did?"

Leon was momentarily taken aback by the question.

He paused, gently brushing aside her slightly tangled green hair, then replied in a soft voice, "It might be difficult. It takes more effort for you to conceive."

According to the history books, interracial unions rarely resulted in offspring. The chances were extremely low—less than one percent.

Although Leon carried dragon blood, which made him far more fertile than most, that didn't mean he could easily impregnate Zelda.

After all, they were from different races, and their physical compatibility was extremely low.

Even so, Leon believed that if they kept trying, there was still a chance—one day, she might conceive.

But that was a matter for another time. Right now, he didn't want any more children—whether with Athena, Zelda, Arshley, or Luna.

It wasn't that he was against the idea, but the timing simply wasn't right.

If any of them became pregnant now, their strength would wane—and in times as uncertain as these, that was a risk he couldn't afford.

Miranda had said the Evil God's return was still five to seven years away, but who could guarantee he wouldn't appear tomorrow or even next month?

For that reason, it was better if he and his women remained in peak condition—ready to fight at full strength when needed.

Meanwhile, Zelda looked slightly dejected after hearing his words.

She gently caressed her slender belly, still feeling a subtle fullness from the life water Leon had released inside her.

"Well, I actually already knew that," Zelda said softly. "To be honest, the Elven race has a naturally low fertility rate. With our long lifespans, most of us don't marry until we're around one hundred and fifty, and we usually don't have children until we're close to three hundred."

"That means it takes nearly a hundred and fifty years for an elven woman to become fertile. And since we're from different races, the chances of having a child are even lower."

Leon could hear the quiet sadness in her voice, and in that moment, he realized something he had forgotten.

For elves, bearing a child for their spouse was seen as a symbol of fulfillment—as a true wife.

Perhaps Zelda felt the same way... and that was why she longed so deeply to have a child with him.

"You don't need to carry that burden," Leon said gently, his voice soft and reassuring. "To be honest, I haven't thought much about it yet. We've only just started our relationship, and talking about children already feels a bit too soon. Besides... I'd rather we not have children right now, because..."

He leaned in, lifted himself slightly, and brought his face close to hers before softly kissing her lips.

"If we had a child now, your attention would go to them—and I don't want to lose it just yet. We still need time to truly grow together. Do you understand?"

Zelda returned the kiss, and a gentle warmth spread through her chest.

"Okay, I understand," Zelda said with a soft smile.

She cupped Leon's cheeks with both hands, then gently pressed her forehead against his, seeking comfort in their closeness.

"By the way, Leon." Zelda straightened up slightly and shifted to the side. "The First Elder said we'll be holding a ceremony for your departure later this afternoon."

"Ceremony?" Leon raised an eyebrow, curiosity flickering in his expression.

"Mhm!" Zelda nodded, then leaned into him, hugging him from the side and resting her face against his neck. "You might not know this, but when someone is recognized as a hero of the Elven race, they're granted an honorary title and a sacred name—bestowed by me, the Elf Queen."

"Since you defeated the Evil God's consciousness a few days ago and saved the World Tree Spirit from the corruption of his dark power, you've earned that honor."

Leon was quiet for a moment, absorbing her words. He hadn't expected the Elves to have such a tradition.

"Seems like the books I've read didn't cover everything," he muttered under his breath.

Setting those thoughts aside, Leon leaned toward Zelda and gently stroked her smooth, soft back.

"Have you already decided on a sacred name for me? If so, can I know what it is?" he asked with a curious tone.

Zelda opened one eye and looked at him with a teasing smile.

"It's a secret," she replied with a soft giggle, then closed her eyes again.

Leon rolled his eyes but didn't argue. He just chuckled quietly.

The room soon fell into a peaceful silence—only the sound of their steady breathing remained as the two slowly drifted off to sleep.

Daylight...

The Emerald Palace, usually a place of serenity and peace, was different this afternoon. A lively buzz filled the entire palace grounds.

Guards stood watch at the entrance, while high-ranking elves like Thalon, Leyna, and several other key officials gathered inside the throne room.

Beneath the great Emerald Palace Tree, thousands of elven citizens had assembled. Their faces shone with excitement, joy, and a wide range of emotions.

All of it was for one reason—a figure known as the Fated One.

"I heard Her Majesty Zelda is going to hold a ceremony to grant him an honorary title and sacred name. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event!" an elf exclaimed enthusiastically.

"Yes! This is the biggest occasion in thousands of years. The Fated One, who once existed only in prophecy, finally appeared just over a month ago," another elf added. "And he saved us from that terrifying creature that destroyed the Forest of Eternal Silence just days ago."

"Tsk! That's not even the half of it," a third elf said proudly. "You probably didn't hear, but the World Tree was actually corrupted by a mysterious force called dark power. My brother, who serves as a soldier, told me all about it."

"But the Fated One cleansed it—he drove out the corruption and restored the World Tree to its former glory! He's a hero among heroes!"

Those nearby fell silent for a moment, awe reflected in their eyes.

Admiration, gratitude, and reverence for Leon had reached their peak.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere inside the throne room was just as festive as the crowd outside.

On the throne, Zelda sat quietly, a serene and radiant smile gracing her lips.

Clad in a green gown with a milky-white shawl draped softly around her neck, Zelda looked breathtaking—graceful, alluring, and radiant, like a goddess of life descended from the heavens.

Her figure was refined and graceful, and the gentle curves of her body could not be completely hidden beneath the gown.

But what stood out most was not her beauty but the new aura she exuded.

Where she once carried an air of innocence and gentleness, Zelda now appeared more mature, poised, and regal—like a flower in full bloom, finally revealing its brilliance without restraint.

The three elders standing beside her exchanged glances, faint, knowing smiles on their faces.

In their hearts, they were all thinking the same thing: "Her Majesty... has truly grown."

Zelda looked at Leon, who stood at the base of the throne steps, her gaze soft and gentle.

A warm smile curved her lips as she spoke, "Leon Kruger, come forward."

Leon gave a slight nod, then ascended the steps with calm, steady strides.

Upon reaching the top, he approached Zelda and knelt on one knee, a gesture of deep respect.

Zelda rose gracefully and took a step forward. She extended her right hand.

*Buzz!*

A golden crown slowly materialized above her open palm, glowing softly.

Zelda gazed at it with quiet reverence before gently placing it upon Leon's head with both hands.

"Leon Kruger," she declared, her voice echoing with grace and power through the hall, "I bestow upon you the title of Hero of the Elven Race, the Savior, and the sacred name… Nolan."

"Congratulations to the Hero, Nolan!" the Elves cried out in unison.

They all dropped to one knee, bowing toward Leon in a gesture of deep respect.

Their expressions radiated sincerity and unwavering devotion.

The sacred name was no trivial matter. Among the Elves, it was the highest symbol of honor—something revered and profoundly meaningful.

Only those who had rendered extraordinary service to the Elven race were deemed worthy of receiving it.

The last time such a name had been granted was seven thousand years ago—to the legendary figure, the Demon Emperor Amon Crimson.

Since then, no one had ever been deemed worthy of such an honor.

Of course, it was understandable—no great calamity had befallen the Elven race for thousands of years.

But a few days ago, disaster struck. Fortunately, Leon appeared and saved them all.

It was no surprise, then, that the Elven people embraced the sacred name given to him with open hearts.

They were grateful—and fully supported the title now bestowed upon him.

Zelda smiled gently and bent her knees, lightly brushing the dust from his shoulders.

"Congratulations, Leon," she said softly. "Nolan is the sacred name I've chosen for you. In our Elven language, it means 'protector' and 'defender.' I've thought about it over the past few days, and I truly believe it suits you perfectly."

She had hoped Leon would be pleased. But instead, he froze mid-kneel. His eyes widened—filled with shock, and maybe even a trace of fear.

"Nolan? Isn't that... the name of that middle-aged man?"
