Chapter 102 Emma
Chapter 102: Chapter 102 Emma
Deciding to test further, she typed in "A" and pressed enter. This time, six thousand results appeared on the screen.
Seeing how much data this computer was handling, Ruby couldn’t help but think, This should’ve crashed ages ago. Thankfully, though, it was fine—still running and responsive, despite being a bit outdated.
She leaned back slightly, her eyes narrowing thoughtfully. Although she knew she shouldn’t snoop around too much, however Her hands were itching to type, to explore, to feel the familiar rhythm of working with a computer again.
It’s been so long, she thought, her red eyes glinting with both nostalgia and excitement.
As her gaze wandered across the screen, she noticed a small icon in the corner, a symbol for internet and Wi-Fi. Her excitement flickered briefly, but it quickly faded when she remembered she didn’t have any Wi-Fi or internet access at the moment.
"Of course," she muttered to herself, her lips pressing into a thin line. Still, the thought lingered in her mind. Soon, when I make enough money, I’ll get a decent computer or laptop and reliable internet.
The idea lit a spark of motivation in her. With the right tools, she could finally start her favorite business again, something she had excelled at in her past life.
And so, the day passed quietly.
The next morning, Ruby woke up early, freshened up, and had breakfast with the others. Adrian had already left for work before anyone else stirred, his usual quiet self.
Although the computer data had been successfully recovered, Ruby wasn’t in a hurry to return it to the government office. The thought of traveling there made her sigh.
it would cost money she didn’t want to spend right now, especially on work that wasn’t benefiting her directly.
Let them come to me, she thought confidently. After all, they needed her help, and she was sure they would eventually show up at her doorstep.
For now, she finished her breakfast and went back to her room, deciding to focus on her own work.
"Ruby," she suddenly heard Julian’s voice behind her. She turned, raising a brow as he stood hesitantly in the doorway.
"We ran out of a few things in the kitchen," Julian said, his tone careful. His mossy-green eyes darted to the floor for a moment, hesitation evident in his posture. He wasn’t sure how to bring it up, but they really needed money for the groceries.
Ruby looked at him, and without a word, she seemed to understand.
She nodded calmly and turned toward her wardrobe, her movements smooth. Julian watched as she opened a drawer and reached inside, pulling out her purse.
"Come inside," she said, her voice steady.
Julian stepped into the room, his steps quiet as he stood just behind her. He couldn’t help but glance at her as she rifled through her purse.

"Kaelan, are you not happy after meeting her?" Roman asked, though he shouldn’t have. His voice carried a hint of cunningness, his eyes glinting as he watched Kaelan’s reaction.
Kaelan didn’t reply immediately. He stood silent, his posture rigid, his face unreadable. Today, he wore a flowing sky-blue robe that made his blue eyes stand out even more. His expression was dark, and he ignored Roman completely, as though the question wasn’t worth acknowledging.
Roman clenched his fist, his jaw tightening as he glared at Kaelan’s profile. The ghost’s arrogance, combined with his striking looks, grated on Roman’s nerves.
This ghost is insufferable just because he’s good-looking, Roman thought, his face darkening further.
"Kae!" A voice called out suddenly, breaking the tense silence.
Kaelan turned toward the voice, his blue eyes narrowing slightly.
She stood there, red eyes, her fair skin glowing under the light. She was tall, confident, and dressed in an expensive robe that swayed lightly with her movements.
Her gaze locked on Kaelan, unmistakably filled with greed and desire.
Kaelan’s lips pressed into a thin line as he glanced at Emma. Once, he had been deeply in love with her eyes, but those feelings felt like a distant memory now, hollow and meaningless after seeing her face.
Emma, however, didn’t seem to see his indifference. Her red eyes flashed with desire as she looked at him, her gaze lingering on his striking blue eyes, his long golden hair cascading over his shoulders, and the air of confidence that surrounded him. He had everything she found irresistible.
Emma was no ordinary witch.
She was a well-known director in the film industry, someone used to getting what she wanted. And right now, what she wanted was Kaelan.
Before she could speak again, someone called out, "Kaelan, come here! It’s your turn!"
Kaelan turned toward the voice, his expression cold and unreadable. Without a word, he walked away, leaving Emma standing there. He didn’t feel like talking to her or anyone else.
Emma’s eyes followed him, narrowing slightly. She licked her lips and then turned toward Roman, who was watching the scene with a cunning smile. Emma gave him a sultry look, her red lips curling into a smirk as she mouthed, Follow me.
Roman hesitated for a moment, but his curiosity got the better of him. He followed her silently as she led him to a nearby hotel. Emma walked confidently, her heels clicking against the floor as she guided him into a room she had already booked.
The moment the door closed behind them, Emma wasted no time. She grabbed Roman’s collar of robe and pulled him close, her lips crashing onto his in a fierce, unrelenting kiss.
Roman froze for a moment, caught off guard, but soon his hands found their way to her waist, pulling her closer. Emma’s nails grazed the back of his neck as she deepened the kiss, her desire for Kaelan seemingly redirected toward Roman.
"Emma! You’re really shameless," Roman laughed, his voice low and teasing as her lips moved down to his neck, sending shivers through him. His fingers brushed against her cheek, tracing her soft skin as she pressed closer to him.
Emma pulled back just enough to meet his gaze, her red eyes glinting with amusement. "I am! And you’re not any less, hmm?" she smirked, her lips curling playfully as her hands slid over his chest.
Roman chuckled darkly, his eyes narrowing slightly as he tilted his head to the side. "Yes, I’m truly shameless," he said, his tone dripping with irony. "After all, here I am, kissing my best friend’s girlfriend..."
