Before Dong Xin Yan could finish, Gu Ningyi already replied directly with a simple word, "Okay."

The words were already at the tip of Dong Xin Yan’s tongue but were swallowed back by Gu Ningyi’s "okay."

She paused for a few seconds, blinked her big eyes, and wondered if she heard it wrong. Did Gu Ningyi really agree so easily?

A flash of delight appeared in her eyes, and she couldn’t help but smile. Yet, she still found it hard to believe, worrying that Gu Ningyi might have misunderstood her meaning. She carefully asked for confirmation again, "Mr. Gu, I mean, I won’t be going back to the villa during this time. Is that really okay?"

Listening to the soft voice over the phone from Dong Xin Yan, even though it was suppressed, her joyful emotions still couldn’t be concealed. The light in his eyes grew darker, and his gaze deepened.

He pressed his lips together and replied in a flat, unemotional voice, "Yes."

After a pause, he added, "Aren’t you busy?"

Knowing Gu Ningyi for so long, this was truly the first time she had seen such an understanding side of him. Excitement and joy surged all at once, so much so that she overlooked the sarcastic tone in Gu Ningyi’s last words.

She smiled happily, her eyes filled with laughter, and said sincerely in a softened voice, "Mr. Gu, thank you for your understanding, really, thank you very much."

It seemed like Gu Ningyi chuckled or perhaps not, then he directly hung up the call.

Dong Xin Yan didn’t care about Gu Ningyi’s current mood. Anyway, he had agreed, so for the next month or so, she wouldn’t need to return to the villa or face Gu Ningyi, and, more importantly... no more obligatory sleepovers!

This was simply a dream come true.

And in over a month, Ziyang would be safely released, and they would reunite.

Dong Xin Yan instinctively lit up her phone screen to look for Ziyang’s photos, but as soon as it lit up, she remembered that last time Gu Ningyi smashed her phone, all the photos were lost. In the new phone, there wasn’t a single picture of Ziyang...

Filming these three scenes will probably take from morning till night, right?

She’s not afraid of being busy right now, she’s only worried about not being busy enough. Otherwise, if Gu Ningyi suddenly got interested in checking on her, she’d have something to say.
