Chapter 196: Mole

’Mmmm...It’s cozy.’

Asher felt a very comfortable feeling and snuggled himself at whatever in front of him. He felt good. Really comfortable.

But then, this same feeling made Asher wake up as he had to take a moment to find out what was making him feel so cozy.

’Ah...Isn’t this my man?’

Asher giggled to himself as if a teenager that got confessed to just a few moments ago.

He just felt very refreshed.

Asher gently caressed the man who was seemingly in deep sleep.

’I love you so much.’

Asher mumbled in his heart, love overwhelming the eyes and his gentle stare.

Asher looked around and was confused as to if this is night or day. He couldn’t see the outside clearly as the wooden windows were shut. He couldn’t walk and open them either because Felix’s arms were around his chest.

He feared his movements would wake up Felix who seemed to be sleeping well.

It’s at rare times that Asher will be awake and Felix will be asleep.

It’s the opposite most of the time.

’The baby...Right, Felix gave her to Lucas.’

Asher thought and his face darkened.

’... it was because I was throwing a tantrum... Like a big attention seeker.’

Asher felt a little disgust toward himself and regretted his behaviour. Again and again, he thought about it and felt he should have controlled his emotions better. He now has a child. He has to be more responsible.

’Felix must be exhausted dealing with me too.’

Asher leaned closer and kissed Felix’s forehead, his heart filled with love.

Today was really weird.

Asher felt good.

Not just good.

But...very very good. He felt positive about everything and a surge of uncontrollable affection toward Felix immersed him.

Asher smiled and closed his eyes again to sleep again. He also made sure to snuggle closer to Felix and give him a few more kisses before actually falling asleep.

Felix was deep in sleep.

So he didn’t know the guy next to him woke up and kissed his face before shoving himself as close as possible to his chest before falling asleep.

So when Felix woke up again, he thought Asher might be still tired and very sleepy. Possibly, still upset.

Either way he wouldn’t disturb Asher’s sleep.

So he silently got off the bed, putting a pillow in his place so Asher could hug and sleep in the familiar positions.

And, Felix did wonder how and when he fell asleep.

’I guess I also fell asleep after laying down next to him. I wasn’t actually planning to sleep though. Lucas and Karl were forced to take care of the baby because of that, weren’t they? For how long did I sleep anyway?’

Felix thought to himself about all those things he felt confused about and walked to the living room where it was empty. He knocked on Lucas and Karl’s room door where Lucas answered from inside and soon came to open the door.

"Karl, I am sorry I bot-"

"You bothered no one. So don’t worry about it. What happened? You looked troubled at that time."

"...It’s alright now."

"Mm...You can sleep more. Both babies and that donkey baby are sleeping. Just use this chance to have a break."

"Ah.. were you also sleeping? Did I wake you up?"

"I wasn’t sleeping. I was reading some books the witch gave m- ah! Right! I want to talk about something with you. Let’s go to the living room."

Lucas suddenly looked like he revered something important as he dragged Felix to the living in a hurry.

"I couldn’t discuss this with you before. Did you notice Asher’s red mole seems to be getting lighter in colour?"

"...Is it?"

"Sigh...so you didn’t notice. I think the mole is completely fading away. It’s still red but very light. I can clearly see a difference. I think his mole is completely fading away instead of looking like before."

"...If it’s like that, is it a good thing or bad thing?"

"That’s what makes me worried too. But my gut tells me it’s going to be a good thing..."

Lucas said and paused, looking at Felix with a frown.

"At least for Asher."

Felix was a little confused at Lucas’s expression and his tone.

"What do you mean? Do you think this will affect the baby in some way too?"

Felix asked and Lucas sighed, looking annoyed.

"Do you not understand, idiot? What can happen to the baby? The baby is completely fine and will be fine. I am talking about you."

"...Eh?"

"Haa...are you dumb? Who else? If Asher’s mole is disappearing it could mean he is completely changing too. I mean his body. The witch doesn’t have an answer for this either. So we have to wait and see how things fold by ourselves."

"...It’s actually good if Asher isn’t an omega anymore. He’ll be safe."

Felix said with a smile and Lucas couldn’t help but sigh again.

"I know. It’s a good thing. But this makes things harder for you. And possibly for him too."

"I understand...my heat..."

Felix said with a sullen expression, his head hurting.

Felix felt very unpleasant at the moment.

He wasn’t sad that there was a possibility Asher might not be an omega anymore.

But he was worried about the future.

That was also not about himself. But about Asher.

’Since he is not an omega, will us being together in my heart hurt him?

Will things become bad between us?’

It was actually Lucas that had to remind him to worry about himself too.

Lucas knew Felix suffered again for the past few months.

Lucas said and Felix only noticed the time once Lucas said so.

Actually, Felix had even lost track of time. He just falls asleep whenever he wants without a planned schedule now. This might make him have a hard time once he has to work again.

Felix remembered himself to be a little more careful about his surroundings.

He is getting way too carefree that he is even losing his senses that maintained his discipline.

"Okay. Good night. If the baby wakes up, bring her to me. You don’t have to bother with her."

"She wont bother me. So shut up and go back now."

Lucas patted Felix and also left after watching Felix leave back to the room.

’Haa ..I wonder if I can fall asleep again. I have a lot of things to think about, don’t I?’
