Felix couldn’t help but laugh seeing Asher’s mischievous smile as he placed his palm on his chest. He couldn’t deny, Asher makes him love him more and more.

"Why would I not do it while I can?"

Asher asked, his fingers roaming around the chest again, then pinching the nipple.

"Ugh, Asher...That’s enough."

Felix, very embarrassed by Asher’s acts, said and grabbed Asher’s hand. But, Asher, like he always does, did it again.

"I will stop if you give me a kiss."

"...Really?"

"Okay then."

Felix leaned in, trying to kiss him. He honestly believed Asher. He thought he could give a light kiss on the lips and make Asher stop pinching his nipple. But...

Just as Felix’s lips touched Asher’s, Asher pinched his nipple again, then jumping on him and deepening the kiss.

Felix was struck and was frozen as Asher’s fingers held both his nipples, pinching and flicking them, his mouth also blocked as Asher’s tongue roamed inside.

When the kiss ended, Asher got up with a chuckle, looking at the duke who was aroused and hugging his chest. Felix, helpless and ashamed, looked at Asher who shrugged his shoulders and looked smug.

Asher said and Felix left a sigh, knowing Asher was messing around again.

"Okay, thank you."

Felix said and watched Asher leave after giving him another light kiss as if he was apologising for making him aroused and then leaving him stranded alone to deal with it. But, Felix prefered to take care of it by himself to avoid getting embarrassed again so...no problem.

As days passed, Felix felt his life was getting better and better day by day. Of course it was because of Asher.

Thanks to him, Felix would be in a good mood when waking up which then continues throughout the day as Asher comes to visit him or comes there to squeeze his butt and give him a kiss.

Felix was so drowned in this happiness that he didn’t realise despite not being obviously friendly, his expressions and his tone had become very relaxing and quite friendly to others.

The maids, obviously now knew how Asher was sleeping with the duke every night. Now Asher had completely moved into the duke’s room... they wondered why he still worked there like a servant.

He was definitely the duke’s lover.

Then why was he working there?

If he was the lover of the duke, he should get recognised and respected like the duke too. He shouldn’t work at all. Yet, there he was. Just like any other servant, dedicated to completing his part of the duties.

Asher, from time to time, overheard those maids’ conversation where they expressed their curiosities. He just found every problem they have kind of hilarious, given the fact even he himself had not worried that much. But, it’s quite nice to see them worrying for him though.

Actually, if he thinks about it, he honestly prefers him and the duke to be this way.

He doesn’t need a huge recognition.

He would love to be announced as the duke’s lover but, given their different statuses that had such a big difference, it would come with a lot of complications that he felt exhausted to even think about. No matter what the duke says, thinks or believes about equality, Asher felt their status would be a problem to others even though it would not be for them.

It’s not about them, actually, it’s about the duke.

Asher was nervous the duke might get more insults thrown at him for liking a commoner, on top of that, a man, which wasn’t rejected yet not appreciated either.

If Asher tried thinking positively, he actually shouldn’t worry about this at all. If he looked at it putting aside the hate, Asher was basically a noble too. He was given birth by a commoner but the other party involved was not a commoner. It was a count, a noble in the city.

But well, Asher hated to think about it that way because he didn’t even want that bastard who destroyed his father’s life to be a parent to him.

While things happen in a good way, most of the time, there is of course something that turns things ugly at some point. So, while his and the duke’s relationship was blooming beautifully, the future...could get ugly at any time, giving them challenges.

But, at the same time, Asher felt like given the duke’s unwavering demeanour when it came to certain things, they could avoid or get past those things he worried to be a challenge on their way.

Maybe...he was just worrying too much.

’While we are happy, I want to enjoy it. When a tough time comes, I want to stay together and go through it together...But I hope...we won’t have any tough times to deal with. I want everything to be peaceful, happy and lovely.’
