"How about I dye it black?..."

Feng Shihan stroked his chin as he imagined Tang Xue Mei with black hair.

"I could work with that..."

Ginger brown wasn’t her natural hair color, her mum and her had dyed during her graduation from highschool.

She had been carrying that look since, she had almost forgotten how she looked with her natural hair color.

"Are you curious to see what I look like with my natural hair color? You do know this is not my natural hair color right.."

"Yes but I’ve gotten used to seeing you like this I never thought of you with your natural hair.."

Feng Shihan smiled he guessed they both had changes they could make.

"Alright let’s stop at the salon then, let’s get a new look. The seafood restaurant would look even better at night so we still have time.."

Tang Xue Mei blinked as she touched her hair gently, she wondered if she’d still look as beautiful as when had her hair ginger brown.

"You’d still like me if my hair went back to normal right?"

Feng Shihan chuckled as he gave Tang Xue Mei a look, he smiled, he liked her because of her personality so she’d still look beautiful with any hair color.

But he decided not to tell her and said "We’ll see about that.."

Tang Xue Mei’s heart sank, she as expecting him to say, he liked her no matter the hair color but his reply made her heart turn cold.

"We’re here.."

Feng Shihan got down and opened the door for Tang Xue Mei. His stretched his hand out waiting her to grab unto it but she hesitated.

"Give me your hand..."

He grabbed her hand and pulled her out, slamming the door shut.

"You’re being disobedient.."

Feng Shihan whispered as they walked into the salon.

"Feng, Feng..you’re here for a trim, I was thinking you would want to grow them out?"

A 167cm man with brown hair smiled, he was a reknowed hair stylist and the only man that Feng Shihan allowed to touch his hair.

"Something like that, this is my wife and she’d like to dye her hair back to black.."

The man looked at the Tang Xue Mei and smiled, what a pretty woman, young at that too, this Feng Shihan was a lucky guy.

"What a beautiful woman, is she an actress? Popstar? Is she foreign?"

Feng Shihan waved his hand stopping the man from continuing.

"That’s not why we’re here.."

"Right, ladies! Come out and take care of this young woman..."

Seconds later 2-3 ladies walked out of another room, their faces filled with smiles.

"Miss please come with us.."

Tang Xue Mei nodded and followed the ladies while Feng Shihan stayed with the man.

"So how do you want this trim?"

"Just below the start of my neck..."

The man eyes widened that was a huge trim for someone like Feng Shihan, it would give him a totally new look.

"Are you sure?"

"Mister Fen precious time is wasting here.."

Mister Fen nodded and asked Feng Shihan to seat down before grabbing his tools.

While at the other side, Tang Xue Mei hair had already been washed and they had begun placing the dye.

"You have beautiful hair miss, have you ever given it a trim?"

"Not in a long time..."

She would have loved to have it cut short but her darling husband refused so she had no choice but to compromise.

"We could go give you a little trim after the dye had been removed? It would be good for your hair..."

Tang Xue Mei nodded a little trim wouldn’t hurt.

"I thought we agreed you would marry my daughter?"

Mister Fen sighed after the trim, Feng Shihan look even handsome and younger, which made mister Fen sad that his daughter had missed such a stunner.

"Your daughter is not my type, I don’t like tomboys.."

Mister Fen nodded which made him even more annoyed. No man found her attractive because she was even more manly than them and the man that shown her interest, she was too oblivious to notice his feelings.

"That would be $2000.."

"Mister Fen it’s just a trim.."

Feng Shihan muttered, he was always grubbing money out of him.

"You happen to hurt my feelings, this is compensation.."

"..."

Feng Shihan this was not an excuse to make a trim, 2 thousand dollars.

"Have you gone poor?"

"..."

"Shut up you brat! I’m still rich as ever..."

"Then I’ll pay the usual 1000 yuan..."

Mister Fen shook his head, his wife fees were free but his he would have to pay or he would shave off his whole hair.

"If you don’t pay that $2000 I’ll shave your entire hair let’s see if your wife would still love you if you go bald.."

Mister Fen snickered, Feng Shihan never played with his hair after hearing the death threat on his hair. He hissed and sent the money.

"You grubbing old man.."

"What can i say I still have a sick mother and daughter to take care of..."

Feng Shihan with that greedy look in his eyes he just wanted more money out of him.

"How long is she going to be in there."

"She’ll be out soon, hair dyeing can be tricky..."

Meanwhile the dye had been washed, Tang Xue Mei stared at the mirror, she looked so different she thought it was a different person in the mirror.

"Wow miss you’re even more beautiful!"

Her hair was blow dried and trimmed, her waist length hair was now at her back.

"This is a fresh new look, you look like a doll.."

Tang Xue Mei stood up, this was a differed loook but she could finally feel like myself again.

"This is the true real me.."

The ladies lead Tang Xue Mei out and Feng Shihan mouth dropped when saw her.

She was even more beautiful than he had imagined.

"You look beautiful..whether you are ginger brown or black you were always beautiful.."

Feng Shihan kissed her cheek but he wasn’t going to lie seeing the real Tang Xue Mei in full, made him fill with pride, beautiful she was ready to open up to him.

Tang Xue Mei also noticed something different about Feng Shihan, her hands reached for his hair, it was short, his hair almost reach his shoulder now it was just at the start of his neck.

"Do you like my new look...."

Tang Xue Mei head bobbed up and down, this new look made him look even younger than his age.

"Seeing it you smile like this..it’s worth it, I’ve never trimmed my hair for anyone more. It feels different.."

Tang Xue Mei also touched her hair, she didn’t know if it was because she had dyed her hair back to its original color but somehow, she felt a part of her, something that she didn’t know was missing had come back.

"You both look great...do remember to come to my salon next time or send some of your buddies here. That would be all your husband already paid the bill.."

Tang Xue Mei nodded and bowed walking out of the salon with Feng Shihan.

"Mum..can we bring Ace along?"

Ace was Rong Shihua’s pet cat, the black cat laid on the bed lazily, meowing whenever it was touched.

"We have too, that little meow follows you wherever you go despite how lazy it is.."

Xia Yuya grumbled, that lazy meow all it likes to do was eat and sleep but somehow it never got fat. Did Rong Shihua secretly put it on a diet, she shook her head, she loved the lazy meow like it was her child, she would never deprive it of food or reduced its food quantity.

"Mum...Ace is an athletic cat, he’s always playing around, he’s definitely not lazy.."

Xia Yuya refused to believe she spent most of her time with that lazy meow, all it did was eating fish and drink milk along with the other expensive cat food Rong Shihua had bought.

"She should let grandma stay here while we’re gone.."

Rong Shihua stopped parking and looked at Xia Yuya.

"I don’t want any member of the Rong family in my house.."

Xia Yuya expression turned cold, they were the ones who stopped her from seeing her children and her daughter actually asked her to house one of them.

"Mum don’t you think you’re being a little harsh..grandma never did anything.."

"That’s right she never did anything, I went on my knees begging to at least speak to your grandfather so I could see my sons. She never did anything, 22 years I haven’t seen my sons for 22 years, the Rongs can die for all I care..."

"I’m a Rong too you know.."

"No you’re my daughter and someday you’ll be someone’s wife, you have no business with the Rongs.."
