Chapter 194: He’s Alive(1)

"This..."

Jeong Da Ren smiled as he took a step back, he had placed a proper cast on Feng Shihan’s leg and he didn’t even noticed.

"He’ll be on my way, let’s give him some time okay.."

Ken nodded and sat on the chair quietly, staring at Feng Shihan.

Feng Shihan raised his head up and saw the new cast on his leg, he also noticed Jeong Da Ren was no where to be seen

"Where did he go?"

"You’re been staring at pictures for almost an 1 hour now, he left.."

"..."

"Ah.." Feng Shihan ran his hand through his hair, so this was what it felt like?

"It’s getting late boss, I’ll head out.."

Feng Shihan nodded and walked inside the room, the office had a hidden room which he stayed in from time to time.

"Few hours from now we’ll get to see each other again..wifey.."

********************

As dawn broke, Feng Shihan was already en route to Feng Corporation, his mind sharp despite the early hour.

He had deliberately kept his survival a secret, knowing the element of surprise would be crucial for his plans.

When his car pulled up to the building, the usually stoic security personnel couldn’t hide their shock. Their eyes widened, jaws dropping as they saw the man they believed to be dead step out of the vehicle.

"Mr. Feng?" one of the guards stammered, his voice barely above a whisper. "Is... is that really you?"

Feng Shihan nodded curtly, suppressing a smirk at their stunned expressions. "In the flesh," he replied dryly.

"But sir, we thought... everyone said..." the other guard trailed off, still struggling to process what he was seeing.

"Reports of my demise were greatly exaggerated," Feng Shihan said coolly. "Good morning, gentlemen. I trust you’ll keep my arrival discreet for now?"

The guards nodded mutely, still too shocked to form coherent sentences.

"Excellent.." Feng Shihan said, striding past them towards the private elevator where Sun Haoyang was waiting for him.

"Boss!"

Sun Haoyang rushed to Feng Shihan with tears in his eyes, he heard his voice yesterday but now that he saw him in the flesh.

He appearance had changed this last few months, he looked even more refined!

"Missed me? Well no time for dilly dallying. Let’s head up.."

Sun Haoyang nodded and bowed as he ushered Feng Shihan into the elevator.

"I’ve got everything ready, I even have some dirt on Wu Yungmin and everyone that stood against you.."

"Good job, you’ll be sure to receive a hug bonus for this.." Feng Shihan smiled, he had also gotten some dirt on this. With Sun Haoyang’s additional bonus everything would work out fine.

Ding!

The elevators opened and the secretaries in their desk, all had their mouth wide open.

"Mr. Feng y-you’re alive!"

Feng Shihan chuckled he had become a living ghost.

"Who told you ladies I was dead?"

Feng Shihan smile turned cold as he stood in front of the mahogany doors.

Today would truly be a day to remember!

"We wanna know why you called this meeting so early!"

Wu Yungmin growled, he was just getting comfortable when he was woken up with a call.

"Frankly speaking I don’t know why Sun Hao..."

The heavy mahogany doors of the boardroom swung open, and a hush fell over the assembled executives.

Feng Shihan strode in, his presence commanding instant attention. His tailored suit, which used to hug his frame, now seemed to hang a little looser.

Despite this, his eyes burned with an intensity that surpassed even his pre-disappearance days.

As Feng Shihan’s gaze swept across the room, murmurs of disbelief rippled through the gathered board members. Some leaned forward in their seats, squinting as if to confirm that their eyes weren’t deceiving them. Others sat back, shock evident on their faces.

Feng Shiyan, who had been in the middle of addressing the board, froze mid-sentence. His pen clattered to the table, the sound echoing in the sudden silence. For a moment, he stood there, hands gripping the edge of the table, his knuckles turning white.

"Elder brother Han?" Feng Shiyan’s voice was barely above a whisper, filled with disbelief and a fragile hope.

Feng Shihan’s eyes locked onto his younger brother’s. A flicker of emotion passed across his usually stoic face.

He had lost a lot of weight during this last few months.

It must have been hard on him.

"Shiyan.."he said softly, his voice rough with unspoken feelings.

The words seemed to break a dam within Shiyan. His professional demeanor crumbled, replaced by raw, unfiltered emotion.

Without warning, he pushed away from the table, his chair scraping loudly against the floor. In a few quick strides, he crossed the room and threw his arms around his Feng Shihan.

"You’re alive, you’re really alive.." Feng Shiyan choked out, his voice muffled against Shihan’s shoulder. "We thought... I thought..." His body shook with suppressed sobs, months of pent-up grief and relief pouring out in this single moment.

Feng Shihan, momentarily taken aback by the intensity of his brother’s reaction, slowly brought his arms up to return the embrace. The tension in his body eased slightly as he held his younger brother.

"I’m sorry I put through through this, you’ve lost a lot of weight. Why don’t I take it from here.."

Feng Shiyan released his hold and nodded, now that Feng Shihan was back everything would fall back into place.

Feng Shihan cleared his throat, silencing the room as he took his seat.

He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a sleek, black flash drive. The small device seemed to command the attention of everyone present, especially Liu Wei and Wu Yungmin, whose faces drained of color.

"I believe.." Feng Shihan began, his voice calm but carrying an edge of steel, "that there are some matters we need to address before we continue with this meeting."

He placed the flash drive on the table, his eyes sweeping across the room before settling on Liu Wei and Wu Yungmin. "This drive contains evidence of certain... activities that have been occurring in my absence. Activities that I find deeply concerning. Haha it’s so funny I can’t help but laugh at their foolishness."

Liu Wei’s hands began to tremble visibly, while Wu Yungmin sat rigid in his chair, a bead of sweat forming on his brow.

Feng Shiyan, realizing the implications, looked at his brother with a mix of surprise and admiration. He had underestimated Shihan’s awareness of the situation.

"Brother.." Feng Shiyan said, his voice barely above a whisper, "you knew?"

Feng Shihan nodded, a ghost of a smile playing on his lips. "I may have been absent, Shiyan, but I can’t come here unaware. Now, I think it’s time we shed some light on recent events."

He stood, connecting the flash drive to the projector. As the screen came to life, displaying damning evidence of Liu Wei and Wu Yungmin’s attempted coup, the boardroom erupted into shocked murmurs.

"Gentlemen.." Feng Shihan addressed Liu Wei and Wu Yungmin directly, his voice cutting through the chaos, "I believe you have some explaining to do."

As the evidence played out on the screen, Feng Shihan paused the video and turned to face Liu Wei and Wu Yungmin.

"Well, well, gentlemen? Do you have anything to say for yourselves?" Feng Shihan’s voice was calm, but his eyes blazed with cold fury.

Liu Wei, his face ashen, stammered, "Mr. Feng, I... we... it’s not what it looks like. We were only trying to protect the company’s interests."

Wu Yungmin, seemingly regaining some of his composure, interjected, "Yes, we had concerns about the direction of the company. Our actions were motivated by—"

"Motivated by greed and ambition.." Feng Shihan cut him off sharply. "Don’t insult our intelligence with your excuses."

Feng Shiyan, still processing the revelation, spoke up, "Brother, how long have you known about this?"

Feng Shihan turned to Feng Shiyan, his expression softening slightly. "Long enough, Shiyan. I wanted to see how things would play out. I’m proud of how you’ve handled yourself in my absence."

Feng Shihan smiled as he clamped his hands together.

"Embezzlement, fucking around with employees, even planning an usurp. You gentlemen sure hard a lot of fun.."

One of the other board members, Ms. Zhang, cleared her throat. "Mr. Feng, what do you propose we do about this... situation?"

Feng Shihan’s gaze swept across the room. "That’s a fair question, Ms. Zhang. I believe it’s time for a vote. Should Mr. Liu and Mr. Wu remain on this board after their attempted coup?"

Liu Wei’s eyes widened in panic. "Please, Mr. Feng, we can explain! Give us a chance to—"

"I think you’ve had quite enough chances," another board member, Mr. Chen, interrupted. "I, for one, have seen enough. I vote for their immediate removal."

Wu Yungmin, his calm facade finally cracking, pleaded, "You can’t do this! We’ve been with this company for years! We’ve contributed—"

"Contributed to its near downfall.." Feng Shihan finished for him. "Now, shall we proceed with the vote?"
