Feng Shiyan’s declaration hung in the air, but the expected capitulation didn’t come. Instead, a tense silence filled the room, broken only by the sound of shuffling papers and muffled whispers.

Liu Wei, the outspoken board member who had first challenged Feng Shiyan, cleared his throat. "Mr. Feng, while we appreciate your... explanation, the fact remains that your brother’s sudden passing has left a significant leadership vacuum."

Feng Shiyan’s eyes narrowed. "A vacuum that my sister-in-law and I are more than capable of filling."

"With all due respect," Wu Yungmin interjected, "capability and legal right are two different matters. We need to consider what’s best for the company’s future."

Feng Shiyan felt his temper rising. "And you believe that undermining the very family that built this empire is what’s best?"

Another board member, Cao Jin, leaned forward. "Mr. Feng, we’re not undermining anyone. We’re simply concerned about stability. Your brother was the face of this company. His loss will have repercussions in the market. We need strong, visible leadership."

"Leadership that you conveniently believe should come from outside the Feng family?" Feng Shiyan retorted, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Liu Wei spoke up again, his tone measured but firm. "We’re merely suggesting that perhaps it’s time for a change. Fresh perspectives could benefit Feng Corporation greatly in these... uncertain times."

Feng Shiyan slammed his hand on the table, causing several board members to flinch. "Let me remind you all that my brother trusted my sister-in-law and i with his shares for a reason. We have the controlling interest, and we have no intention of relinquishing it."

"Legal challenges can be made," Liu Wei said quietly, but with unmistakable threat in his voice. "Shareholder interests must be protected."

The room erupted into a series of voices, each board member trying to assert their position. Feng Shiyan stood, his imposing figure silencing the room momentarily.

"I see," he said, his voice dangerously low. "So this is how you repay my brother’s trust? His years of leadership? By trying to wrest control at the first opportunity?"

He looked around the room, meeting each pair of eyes in turn. "Make no mistake. My sister-in-law and I will fight any attempt to seize control of this company with every resource at our disposal. And I promise you, we have considerably more resources than you might think."

Feng Shiyan gathered his documents, his movements deliberate and controlled despite his inner fury. "This meeting is adjourned. I suggest you all think very carefully about your next moves. Because I assure you, we certainly will be."

As he strode towards the door, he turned back one last time. "Remember, in your rush for power, you risk destroying the very thing you seek to control. We built Feng Corporation on family values and loyalty. It would be a shame to see it crumble due to greed and shortsightedness."

With that, Feng Shiyan exited, leaving behind a room full of determined but unsettled board members. He knew the battle was far from over, but he was prepared for war. As he walked down the corridor, he pulled out his phone to call Tang Xue Mei. They had much to discuss and plan for the fight ahead.

"Hey kid, there’s a call for you.."

Uncle Xi passed the phone to Feng Shihan, he placed the cup of herbal medicine on the table.

"Ken? What’s the matter?"

"Sorry to disturb you boss, but there’s trouble in the company. Something that only your appearance can solve."

"They’re planning to collect the company out of Shiyan’s hands aren’t they. Those greedy bastards, I guess I have no choice but to come out of my burrow. Track this phone call and send a helicopter to me.."

"Yes boss, got it!"

Feng Shihan sighed as he stood up, he was still feeling pains in his leg but he would have to manage.

"Old man there’s trouble, I have to leave can you remove the cast. I can’t afford to let know I’m not in the state to fight right now.."

Uncle Xi nodded, if he applied less weight on his leg he would be able to walk for short distances.

"I’ll place a slate behind your feet, it would be hidden by your pants. It will help stable the bone and cause you less pain.."

"Thank you old man.."

"The boss location is quite far, it would take at least 2-3 hours to get there. So everyone let’s get to talk, Big bai prepare a fresh set for suit for the boss, Su Mi, Ai Min, get the choppers ready.."

"Aye!"

Everyone moved quickly as they hurriedly set everything into place.

Meanwhile Tang Xue Mei was leisurely sharing a cup of tea with Yang Dakie.

"If you need anything, auntie Gu will see you through and one last thing. You’re refrained from going upstairs, your works is to take care of the things downstairs.."

Yang Dakie’s jaws tightened before she nodded, her eyes darkened. Tang Xue Mei was living in such a luxurious mansion, it had a garage filled with luxurious cars, she had even married the number 1 man in country C.

No matter how hard she tried to be batter than Tang Xue Mei, she always still second best.

"Yes I understand.."

Tang Xue Mei nodded when she felt her phone vibrating, she glanced at it and saw the caller was Feng Shiyan.

"Excuse me.." she smiled and stood up, heading upstairs.

"Shiyan? What’s the matter?"

"We’ve got a problem sister-in-law, the shareholders had found out about elder brother Han’s death now they’re planning to usurp the company.."

"...."

"Impossible? Didn’t Shihan leave his shares to you? If my guess is right, the person with the highest shares get to be CEO..."

"You don’t have to worry, I unfortunately will go have a word with my grandfather, he knows those old geezers better than anyone else. I’ll get back to you as soon as we come up with a plan..."

Tang Xue Mei’s eyes darkened "I’ll be waiting for your call then.."

"Ken we’ve located the house, but there didn’t a single place to land.."

Ken looked around and nodded, they’ll just have to get as close to the house as they could and go down to meet Feng Shihan.

"And that’s why we hand rope ladders, get as close as you can to the building.."

Su Mi nodded and flew the helicopter as close as it could get to the house.

"Kiddo it seems your friends are here.."

Uncle Xi smiled giving way for Ken and Ai Min.

"Boss!"

Ken quickly rushed to Feng Shihan, when they heard the boss had died from the president. They couldn’t believe it, they always felt Feng Shihan was the type of person that no mattter what he would always escape then.

"Good job finding me.."

Feng Shihan patted Ken gently and turned to Uncle Xi.

"I’ll come back to visit often old man but for now there is something important I must take care off."

Without wasting a moment, Feng Shihan turned to Uncle Xi. "Thank you for everything."

Uncle Xi smiled. "It has been my pleasure. Good luck."

Feng Shihan nodded, then moved swiftly back to position himself under the helicopter. Above, Ken had already prepared the harness for extraction. As it was lowered, Feng Shihan efficiently strapped himself in.

Once he was secure, he gave the signal, and felt the immediate upward pull as the helicopter began to lift him off the ground.

Trees rushed past him as he ascended, the house growing smaller below.

As he neared the helicopter, Ken reached out to help him inside.

Once Feng Shihan was safely aboard, Ken quickly closed the door and signaled to Su Mi.

"We’re clear! Let’s move!" Ken shouted.

Su Mi nodded, smoothly tilting the helicopter and accelerating away from the forested area.

Catching his breath, Feng Shihan turned to Ken. "Status report."

Ken’s face was grim. "Sir, the situation at Feng Corporation is deteriorating rapidly. The board meeting didn’t go as we hoped. Your brother is still facing significant opposition."

Feng Shihan’s eyes narrowed. "Then it’s time to end this charade. Su Mi," he called to the pilot, "get us back to the city as fast as possible. Ken, contact Sun Haoyang and only him. Tell him to prepare for my return. Operation Phoenix is now in full effect."

As the helicopter sped towards the city skyline, Feng Shihan’s mind raced with plans and counter-plans. The game had changed, and he was ready to reclaim his rightful place at the head of Feng Corporation and reunite with his wife once again.
