An Yu hissed as he swiped the picture hanging on the mirror.

"You don’t deserve to see her pretty face.."

An Yu tore the pictures to pieces before walking back to the car.

"Alright everyone...lets wrap this up, you have 20 minutes to pack up before the blue lights arrive.."

Ken sighed at least this crisis was averted.

"Ken says we should take the young madam to the hospital with this car, the camera have already got sight of the number plate before we shot it.."

The rugged looking man stood firmly when he spoke to An Yu.

"Got it..lets move fast we don’t have a lot of time.."

Tang Xue Mei looked up and turned back to see the amoured car dripping down with blood.

"Are they...."

"Dead."

Tang Xue Mei’s heart skipped a beat as she felt a wave of nausea wash over her. She stumbled to a stop, her hand flying to her mouth as she struggled to hold back the bile rising in her throat.

The blood, oh God, the blood... it was everywhere.

The nausea intensified, and Tang Xue Mei felt her knees buckle. She reached out for a nearby lamppost, grasping it tightly as she fought to stay upright. The world around her spun, and she felt like she was going to pass out.

Just as she thought she was going to collapse, a strong arm wrapped around her waist, holding her steady.

"Boss are you okay?"

An Yu’s voice was laced with concern as he pulled her close.

Tang Xue Mei pointed a shaking finger at the car, her eyes welling up with tears. "The blood... it’s everywhere," she whispered, her voice trembling.

It was scary to see how easy one could lose one’s life. She hugged her stomach, she could not afford to lose her little ones, she refused...she would find with her life if she had too.

"We can’t go home yet...we still have to head to the hospital.."

An Yu nodded it wouldn’t be nice to make a pregnant woman miss a doctor’s appointment and after what happened just now they really needed to check if her babies were okay.

"Rest assured young madam we will put down our lives to protect you.."

"Then what about your families?"

The man gave a pained smiled before saying—"Men like us don’t deserve families but we’ll like to protect yours.."

Tang Xue Mei eyes watered as she turned her face away, her fists clenching slowly from anger.

Tang Xue Mei walked into the hospital along with An Yu, the rest of the men where asked to wait behind at the lobby.

She showed her appointment ID to the nurse at the desk and she was directed to the obstetrics department.

She took a deep breath trying to steady her emotions.

Usually Feng Shihan would be here to hold her hands but now...she had to steel her emotions herself.

"It’s going to be okay.."

An Yu gave her a reassuring smile, Feng Shihan might not be here but he was and he would be there to support her every step of the way.

When they arrived at the examination room, Dr. Jeong greeted them warmly.

"You look a bit shaken up? Let’s run a quick checkup on you first.."

Dr. Jeong asked Tang Xue Mei to lie down on the examination bed while An Yu took a sit at the corner.

"Now...shall we begin?"

Dr. Jeong came to a conclusion after a while before patting Tang Xue Mei’s hands gently.

"Take a deep breath, take things one step at a time...you’ll be fine. Don’t stress yourself by thinking too much, Feng Shihan’s like a cockroach, they don’t die easily.."

Tang Xue Mei smiled Dr. Jeong really knew how to make people feel at ease no wonder he was so good at his job.

He knew how to connect with his patients.

"Alright let’s check on the babies..."

Dr. Jeong ran a brief HCG level check, he checked Tang Xue Mei’s blood pressure, he also checked the fetuses heart rate and a quick weight and height check.

Last was the ultra sound, Dr. Jeong lips twitched as he stared at Tang Xue Mei’s dress.

"I’ll go get Dr. Lin...your dress’s a bit..."

Tang Xue Mei blushed she should have worn a shirt, she forgot they usually rubbed this substance on the stomach before the ultra sound.

"My bad...I will wear something more appropriate next time.."

Dr. Jeong nodded that was why they had females obstetrics around.

"Young man please follow me, it’s a women thing now.."

An Yu nodded and followed Dr. Jeong out of the room.

"Can you call Dr. Lin for me?"

Dr. Jeong smiled at the nurse who nodded and left the desk, heading to the fourth room.

"So tell me...what are you to her?"

"I’m just a bodyguard.."

"Ah..I see, we’ll protect her well she’s a nice woman.."

An Yu nodded as she painfully beared through the next awkward minutes before the nurse arrived with Dr. Lin.

"Your assistance is required please follow me.."

Dr. Lin smiled smiled happily this was the first time Jeong Da Ren had ever needed her help.

"This is my patient and she’s want to do an ultra sound please take care of her. We’ll leave you two to it.."

Dr. Lin chuckled when she saw Tang Xue Mei dress now she understood why Jeong Da Ren called for her.

"It’s nice to meet you miss Tang, I’m Dr. Lin and I’ll be taking care of you today.."

Dr. Lin had a bright smile she accentuated her features, her smile made Tang Xue Mei feel less tense.

"So tell me...do you have symptoms or conditions that you would normally not feel comfortable to tell a male obstetrics?"

Tang Xue Mei smiled and shook her head she didn’t have any complications yet except for a bite of nausea here and there.

"That’s good...now let’s check on those little kiddos.."

Dr. Lin asked Tang Xue Mei to pull her gown up, she blushed as she raised her gown up showing off her smooth long legs.

"Here use this to cover your legs.."

Tang Xue Mei nodded using the cloth to cover her legs.

"Alright let’s begin.."

Dr. Lin placed the gel on her stomach and rub it slightly.

"You might feel a cold tingly sensation.."

The ultrasound began, and Tang Xue Mei held her breath as the Dr. Lin searched for the twins.

After a few tense moments, the machine beeped, and the image of the babies appeared on the screen.

Tang Xue Mei’s heart skipped a beat as she saw the two tiny forms, her eyes watered when she saw her tiny little buns.

"This is the best part of the job, seeing soon to be mothers smile like this.."

Dr. Lin printed the image out for Tang Xue Mei but before she came her the picture she took a brief look at the others tests.

"Your HCG level is a steady...497 which is good. Your blood pressure is also stable, your weight..you’re still pretty slim since it’s just 8 weeks but i can assure you, you will gain some pounds. The fetuses heartbeat is stable, they’re even more energetic. Overall you and the fetuses are very healthy.."

Dr.Lin passed the photos to Tang Xue Mei before standing up.

"Remember to eat more fatty fish but I guess those make you nauseous?"

Tang Xue Mei nodded as Dr. Lin wiped the gel off her stomach.

"Then I’ll suggest you eat more lean protein, greens, nuts and seed, berries and diary. It will make both mama and babies healthy.."

Tang Xue Mei stood up and pulled her dress down, she smiled at the photos and then at Dr. Lin, she wished Feng Shihan was here too see them.
