Chapter 67: Home sweet Home

After a few quiet hours of travel, I was taken to "my" house, the house where I live with my son. We went quite far as it took hours even with the car driving relatively fast.

At times I felt a slight pain with the movements like curves and speed bumps on the car’s path, but I contained the painful groans as we moved forward.

"We’re here, dear, home sweet home," he says as he gets out of the car and goes to get the wheelchair that’s in the trunk. He soon comes to the door where I am and opens it.

He unbuckles my seatbelt, holds me by the waist, and places me in the wheelchair. At least the paved path will prevent me from feeling pain with the wheelchair’s movements as long as he walks carefully.

"Ow..."

"Sorry, dear," he apologizes, but he obviously placed the wheelchair on the road just to go up the small stone surface of the sidewalk.

While he guides me inside, I see the gardener tending to the plants and some maids cleaning the windows of his mansion.

They look surprised at me, but not completely shocked; they must know that I suffered an "accident" that left me disabled.

As he takes me inside, I think about my ’son’. How will I react to him? I have no idea, I have many memories of this life and I know I treated him well and cared for him a lot.

The only mistake of Shizune in this life was to betray her husband, other than that, she was a nice person whom many liked, she had no enemies and lived a great life.

Of course, the lack of interactions with her husband was what contributed to Shizune’s lust in this world to explode, and she began to want a physical relationship with someone, and it was not so much for the affection, it was just for physical satisfaction.

I take a deep breath, the world won’t get better just because I cry, honestly I don’t know what I should do.

What do I do? I’m just pushing everything aside, I have no way to do something I don’t know, how can I break my curse? And still in a world without magic.

Maybe there is secret magic, but people just don’t know about it? I can only use the internet to learn if there is hidden magic.

Anyway, this world in terms of technology is not too bad, we are in 2057 and the technology is much higher than in my original world, but it’s not extremely futuristic.

"Are you ready, dear?"

"S-Sure..." He speaks when we reach the mansion’s door. He types the password on a lock next to it, and then the door opens, revealing a very beautiful and chic house with things to help a disabled person like me move around in a wheelchair.

There are ramps and other things, he even modified the house, and it’s not a coincidence that some places don’t need these ramps, but they’re still there.

"Mommy!!!" I hear a voice shouting, and hurried footsteps soon see my son running towards me in a rush. He has black hair and green eyes and is quite cute.

’I... like him...’ It seems that these kinds of feelings are inherited. I wonder what aspect of personality I inherited, as it wasn’t as obvious as the others, where it was noticeable right away.

"Mommy, are you okay!" He asks, all worried, while hugging me.

"Ow..." A barely contained groan of pain escapes me.

"S-Sorry, did I hurt you?" He asks, very concerned, when I let out a sound of pain, his hug hurt a little.

"N-No, I’m fine, son..." It’s so strange to lie like this.

"Oh..." I reflexively tried to hug him back, but all that moved were the two stumps that remained.

"..."

"Son, could you give your mother a little space? Her body hasn’t recovered yet, so it will hurt if you keep hugging her," Ryuuji says patiently to my energetic son.

"Okay, dad," My son steps back a little. He seems happy to see me, the concern and relief in his gaze is touching.

"Mommy, dad said you got hurt, so I made this for you," My son takes a paper out of his pocket, it’s already crumpled since he folded it and shoved it in his pocket. He comes up to me and tries to hand me the paper.

But soon remembers that I don’t have hands, so he opens the paper and shows me a drawing. There is a heart with a bandage, the drawing was colored with pencils, and below the heart it says [Get Well].

"Thank you, son... it’s a beautiful drawing," I say in a somewhat dragging way. The drawing isn’t much, and I know it’s the thought that counts, but not being able to even hold the paper discourages me a lot.

"Dear, that wasn’t very convincing," Ryuuji murmurs in my ear.

"...Son, could you please go get me a glass of water?" I ask my son to leave.

"Okay, mommy, one moment!!" He says excitedly as he runs to the kitchen.

"Ryuuji....I can’t get excited...this is the best I can do..." I can’t act well, everything just reminds me of my disability.

"It’s okay, dear, you’ll improve with time."

"It’s hard...how can I improve at this..." The first place people look when I appear is my missing arms and legs, the gaze of others only highlights what I’ve lost, making me feel uncomfortable.

"I don’t know, I’ll leave that for you to figure out. Now, shall we have something to eat? We’ve been travelling for hours, and it’s time to have a meal."

"Okay..."

"Dear, you also need to exercise a bit, since you’ll need to get used to the prosthetics, so tonight I’ll help you with that."

"Love...could you at least take good care of me? I shouldn’t endure many things, and I feel some pains..."

Ryuuji seems momentarily surprised that I called him ’love’, but soon gives me a gentle smile.

I don’t mind acting this way if at least I can walk and hold things again.

"Dear, you’ll soon get used to the pain, and in 1 or 2 months it’ll stop completely. The discs can be uncomfortable, and they’ll have a lot of pressure when you use the prosthetic limbs, so I’ll help you with that at night."

"Mommy, here’s the water!!" My son appears holding a glass of water and a pitcher, and his first action is to try to hand it to me.

"..."

"Son..." Ryuuji extends his hand and takes the pitcher and glass, while I sigh. Of course, I know my son isn’t doing it on purpose, but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s almost a slap in the face.

Being constantly reminded of this information is not at all nice.

"Son, I’m sure you have your school activities to take care of, so you could go take care of them. Your mother needs some time," Ryuuji says to our son, who nods and runs off.

"Don’t run in the house," Ryuuji calls after our son, who is running through the halls to go to his room.

"Okay, dad!" He shouts in response, but continues running.

"Here’s your water, dear," Ryuuji puts water in the glass and places it at my lips, I drink it even without much desire. After I finish the water, he hands the glass and pitcher to a maid and starts pushing my wheelchair towards the living room.

"Love...how will I eat?" He parks my wheelchair in front of a table, making it clear that we’re going to eat. I move a bit uncomfortably in the chair.

"Don’t worry, I’ll take care of that for you," He says as he sits in a chair next to me. Soon a maid pushes a cart with food.

"I’m not hungry."

"But you need to eat. You lost a lot of blood and need to replenish it, or you’ll have problems. Plus, I’ve been caring for you with supplements and vitamins while you were sleeping, so you need to replenish that,"

"Okay..." I really don’t want to eat, because I know the feeling of dependence will be bad, and the more I depend on him, the worse it will be for me.

He soon starts feeding me some food that I don’t recognize, the taste is good, but it’s not nice to have him feeding me.

"Oops, careful there, dear."

"...Thank you..." I thank him when he holds me, I’m uncomfortable, so I tried to move a bit, but I almost fell face-first into the food, and he caught me.

"Your grumpy face is funny."

"This isn’t funny..."

"Actually, it’s a little funny, but I think it’s more tragic than funny," He continues feeding me while talking.

After eating the meal at an irregular time since the lunch hour has passed, he takes me to the garden of the house, he places me in a chair to receive some sun while he sits next to me.

We remain silent as I end up falling asleep to forget the stressful day, everything is bad, and at least sleeping I don’t have to face reality.

"..."

"..."

I end up being awakened by him after a few hours for dinner. He said I should eat, and again talked about my health and concerns to take care of it, and even gave me some medicine to help me recover.

At dinner, our son was talking animatedly about his days, trying to cheer me up, but it’s a fact that he often looked at the parts I’m missing.

After dinner, Ryuuji took me to our room, gave me a bath, which I was very embarrassed about as he paid a lot of attention to my intimate parts during the cleaning, and then he took me to bed.

"Now, dear, let’s start. I’ll help you with both your lust and your recovery and exercises," He says as he begins to remove the clothes he put on me after the bath, for some reason, even though he was going to take them off shortly.
