Chapter 105: Explosion

I bought various materials to cook and learn with Yui, it was quite fun, although I don’t know if the taste is good because I couldn’t eat it myself and Yui couldn’t either.

So I just learned various recipes and left the food on the street for anyone who wanted to take it, since I didn’t want to draw attention by doing charity work. Of course, learning to cook took a full two months.

And I’m not even that good at cooking, still burning some things that are quite simple.

She shows many emotions in practically a sequence from smiles to congratulations for small things, for a being like her who has seen it all, to have this kind of kindness seems strange to me.

But for her it seems the most natural thing of all, even among other things like being on the street and talking about helping someone if it’s not a big problem.

She also told me some things that I think she shouldn’t have told, but they were very useful, she told stories about various people, and one in particular caught my attention.

It was about someone who achieved immortality, that person’s world ended, but that person themselves could become a god and thus manage their own world, they became a god after creating a new world.

So it happens that mortals can become gods, so nothing prevents me from trying to become a god as well, I just don’t know how I would do that, which is a shame, but maybe in a future world I’ll discover some way to become a goddess or achieve immortality.

"Yui, can you tell me a safe path?" I ask Yui, watching from the top of a house the hooded vampires spreading posters with my face down on the street.

Things are slowly improving and Yui’s help is proof of that, I start walking carefully through the buildings, observing the movement of the vampires, they are probably using magic.

But since I’m from a much higher class of vampires and much stronger than them, they can’t detect me with magic, as long as I’m careful I’ll be able to escape from here.

"..." I look at Yui on my shoulder, she seems apprehensive, more than usual, she may try to hide things, but she’s not good at it.

If she’s like this, then something bad is near, and that bad thing can only be Elizabeth herself, it means that perhaps Elizabeth is in the city.

I turn into a bat and start flying slowly through the houses, if Elizabeth is here, flying high will only draw attention, during the time I’ve been in this kingdom I’ve memorized many of the routes.

"The queen is personally after this vampire, I’ve never seen her so angry, what do you think this vampire did?" the first vampire asks the other, since they’re hooded, I can’t see their appearance.

"I have no idea, she normally never gets angry, so maybe it’s a criminal? But I heard it’s an ancient vampire, so maybe it’s a traitor?"

"It’s possible." I decide to stop listening to this conversation and start flying in another direction, but along my path I see more and more vampires, if they see a bat like me, they’ll quickly know it’s a vampire and stop me.

That’s why I have to be very careful, but since there are so many vampires, I end up running a high risk.

"...Shizune, please be careful!" Yui says, and I stop immediately, hiding on the roof of a stall, soon I see a large bat about 2 meters long, much bigger than me, the size of a normal bat.

’Elizabeth...if she’s flying so low, then she must have hypnotized all the humans in the kingdom.’ She’s really scary, she was probably hypnotizing the humans the whole time to be able to hunt me herself.

Using magic in bat form is impossible for me, but for Elizabeth it must be possible, which means she’ll probably find me with magic soon.

And soon in the sky I see a large bat, I simply go to the street and look up at the sky waiting for Elizabeth who is descending with extreme speed.

"S-Shizune, what are you doing?!" Yui asks nervously.

"You can’t explode yourself! That idea is horrible, that won’t defeat Elizabeth."

"I know, but I don’t want to win, just annoy her." I don’t want to give her the privilege of killing me, this self-destruction will go beyond the small dose of immortality I have, so I’ll die for real.

But I don’t mind dying, I won’t let the Yanderes dictate my life so easily, now that I have the memory valve, I’m not as afraid of dying and switching worlds, because I know I won’t feel so much pain anymore.

And exploding myself will cause me a painless death, I see Elizabeth descending rapidly and hitting the ground, raising a large cloud of dust.

"Yui, I’ll see you in the other world," I murmur as I dismiss Yui since she doesn’t like violence.

"Yui? Who is this Yui, Shizune?" Elizabeth asks, hearing only that murmur.

"No one I need to inform you about," I say arrogantly, it’s so good to finally face a Yandere like this, even though I won’t win.

"...I’m going to kill you, you traitor," Elizabeth says as she approaches and begins to choke me, digging her nails into my throat, it seems this is mandatory to kill me since she always focuses on my neck.

"E-Elizabeth, I hope you go to hell," She wasn’t the craziest Yandere, but she was far from good to me.

My body glows slightly and soon explodes, everything goes dark instantly, it was an instant death, I didn’t even see the damage I caused, I hope she got hurt a lot.
