My Creation Came to Life on an Island in Another World -
Chapter 11: Ambush
Chapter 11: Ambush
Returning to the camp, still feeling energetic, everyone was getting ready to leave. I went back to my tent to grab the rest of my things—like a bottle of water and a bag filled with a few first-aid potions.
With everything in hand, I was ready.
It didn’t take long for the entire camp to be dismantled, leaving only the remains of a campfire on the ground.
With everyone now prepared to depart, we began walking once more.
As we moved through the dense forest, various noises echoed from the bushes. One of the knights went to check—and three wolves leapt on top of him.
While the wolves tried to tear the man apart, the knights around him quickly stepped in. It didn’t take long before all three were slain.
Watching it all unfold, I froze. I wasn’t used to seeing death right in front of me. I thought I’d have to fight too... which would’ve been a problem. I can use Qi, but still with some difficulty. The old memories in this body are all tangled up, making it hard to focus...
Looking at the knight who’d been attacked, he was groaning in pain—his leg dangling by threads. The grotesque sight made me nauseous.
Trying to compare it with what the protagonist of this world had witnessed, I realized—seeing a pile of flesh like that is worse. More and more, I’m convinced that guy’s not normal. He didn’t feel anything in scenes like this.
While I was lost in thought, a healer came and managed to reattach the knight’s leg.
With help from a companion, he was able to walk again, and so we moved on.
The forest felt calm, with animals that were surprisingly common. I thought creatures here would be more fantastical, but no... just small, ordinary birds and some insects climbing trees—larger than usual, sure, but not that strange. The weirdest thing I saw was a frog the size of a dog...
While I was distracted, thinking about this strange world, a goblin leapt down at me from a branch above.
"Kekeke-kehhh."
Before I could even react, Tarkus impaled the goblin through the stomach.
"Be more alert, Darui," Tarkus scolded, clearly irritated I hadn’t responded in time.
Without waiting for his son to answer, he barked again, "Everyone stay alert! Looks like we’ve fallen into a goblin ambush!"
As soon as he said that, the goblins—realizing they’d been discovered—leapt from the trees and bushes.
The forest was swarming with goblins.
Shit. What do I do? Am I gonna have to fight too? Damn it, weren’t these things supposed to be dumb?
While Tarkus tore through the battlefield like a storm, killing everything in his path, I tried to stay as safe as I could.
Without realizing, I found myself face to face with three goblins. Everything was happening so fast—I didn’t know what to do.
A knight a bit farther away noticed my situation. Shoving aside the two goblins he was fighting, he sprinted toward me.
Once by my side, he spoke in a voice that sounded... sweet?
"Young master, are you alright?"
As she asked that, the other two goblins joined the three in front of us, forming a group of five.
Still frozen, I couldn’t move. The knight, noticing my condition, stepped in front of me.
The goblins charged, and the knight, without using Qi on her weapon, rushed in to meet them head-on.
Three attacked from the front while two tried to flank her. Seeing this, she had no choice but to push forward. Her face showed a strange relief—perhaps happy to be the target.
She dashed forward, landing a hit square in the mouth of one goblin. Another, to her left, saw an opening and swung—but missed by a hair as she retreated.
Taking a few steps back, thinking she had some space, she lunged again—but a sudden strike from the right caught her off guard. Startled, she tried to dodge, but mysteriously tripped over a stone.
A goblin bashed her head hard enough to knock off her helmet, revealing a beautiful, delicate face.
The knight growled through clenched teeth, "Filthy green rapists..."
Now with a fierce glare, grinding her teeth, she rushed the goblins again.
The fight intensified, and she managed to take down another.
I remained frozen, thoughts swirling in my mind as the fight unfolded in front of me.
What should I do? I should help, right? Why can’t I move? Isn’t it just about killing them? Why is it so hard?
While I was drowning in hesitation, the knight was struck full force in the face. She collapsed.
"Guh, d-dam—" Before she could finish, another blow smashed into her head, knocking her out cold.
Now in full panic, I thought frantically.
Then, the system appeared before me.
[’Knight’ — Potential romantic interest for Host. If saved, she may join your harem and strengthen you.]
What the hell? Couldn’t this happen at a better time?
That sudden shift cleared my mind.
I need to kill them... Not because of what the system said...
With newfound determination, I rushed toward the goblins. As I did, another blow landed on her face.
Damn it. I need to be faster...
At that moment, it was like my body finally understood. Qi flowed into my legs, and I moved much faster.
As the goblin raised its weapon for another strike, I drove my sword into its back. The other two goblins pulled back.
The system appeared again.
[Failure to save the heroine.]
I stared at the window. Then, turning desperately toward the knight, I saw her crushed face. There was no beauty left—just a grotesque mess.
Terrified by what I saw, and what my hesitation had caused, I froze again, staring at the corpse.
The goblins seemed to notice—and came charging once more.
Before they could reach me, Tarkus slashed the air with Qi, sending a wave that sliced them in two.
"Darui, I told you to stay alert..." He stopped mid-sentence as he followed my gaze and saw the knight’s body, and my expression.
Trying to comfort me, Tarkus spoke softly.
"Darui, this happens more often than you think. We don’t have time to grieve—these goblins won’t give us time."
Now beside me, he placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Come on. We need to keep fighting. Otherwise, this could happen to someone else too."
Still in shock and blaming myself, I followed my father in silence into the chaos caused by the goblins.
When the group had moved on, a familiar figure sitting in the trees saw they had left. Taking advantage of the confusion, she dropped from the branch and stopped in front of the corpse that had once been a beautiful knight.
"Looks like my little prank gave me something fun~," a girl said in a low, cheerful voice as she examined the body.
Getting closer and seeing the mangled face, she thought to herself.
Is this enough? She had some potential to be a war maiden...
While she stared at the body, an idea popped into her head. Smiling with excitement, she murmured,
"I bet this would break him even more, hehe~. If he saw her alive again... but just a little different~. Or from a different side~."
Grinning deeply at the corpse, she opened a small slit on her side.
From it, she pulled out a red potion and poured it onto the body, restoring its beauty.
With the body fully healed, she removed all of the knight’s armor and shoved it into her slit. She stared at the now-exposed body—large breasts and a tight shirt showing off a toned abdomen.
Raising an eyebrow, her face twisted with envy.
Shaking her head and pushing away the useless feeling, she lifted the knight’s soft yet well-built body and threw it over her shoulder.
Jumping back to the trees, she looked toward the ongoing battle and whispered with a bright expression,
"Looks like I’ve got some entertainment coming soon~. I just need to tweak a few things~ and convince my older sister to bring her back."
Her pink spiral eyes spinning wildly with emotion, she vanished into the forest.

Now with hollow eyes, Darui thought,
This was my fault, wasn’t it? If I hadn’t hesitated, she might still be alive...
Tears welled up. The realization struck him—this world wasn’t as fun as he thought. He stood still in the chaos.
He saw a goblin charging at someone and could only think,
If it weren’t for those damn pests...
His subconscious clung to that excuse, and he gave in to the temptation.
Almost without noticing, he charged through the battlefield, eyes full of bloodlust, aiming to kill every disgusting goblin he could find.
Colliding with a distracted goblin and knocking it down, he didn’t waste a second—his sword went straight into its eye.
Seeing the gruesome result and still feeling nothing, he thought,
Maybe I should’ve done this from the start...
Turning toward a group of goblins, he dashed at them, his sword now coated with Qi.
It’s easier to use Qi now... when I’m only thinking about killing.
