Chapter 186 Stirring Up Trouble
Chapter 186: Chapter 186 Stirring Up Trouble
Tang Chuxia didn’t go to find Yang Yingjie.
Wu Haipeng came over and asked Sister Dangdang out, so the elder sister-in-law came to discuss something with Tang Chuxia.
"What do you think?"
The elder sister-in-law held her belly and leaned against the headboard, looking serious.
Tang Chuxia thought it over: "Sister-in-law, if you really want to find someone, I don’t object. Besides, from what I feel about Ah Duo, she can definitely take good care of the kids. But you’re getting out of confinement soon and going back with Ah Duo, will you manage to settle down?"
The elder sister-in-law laughed.
"I originally thought that since Dangdang got married, I should talk to mom about finding a nanny. Just now, when I heard you talk about Ah Duo’s situation, I felt she’s very meticulous. It’s just a matter of arranging a job for her and giving the kids a chance to go to school. It’s easy to manage!"
It turns out the elder sister-in-law was worried that after her confinement, she’d have to start working. She’s not planning to stay at home to take care of the kids forever. Ah Duo is such a dedicated person and already has a child, so surely she’ll be more attentive in childcare, which is why she thought about this.
Tang Chuxia nodded.
If the elder sister-in-law wanted it, she could make it happen.
"Then I’ll send a telegram to Ah Duo, let her think it over. If she agrees, she can come to our house after the New Year to adapt!" Tang Chuxia was happy to handle this.
The elder sister-in-law agreed.
So Tang Chuxia went to send a telegram to Ah Duo.
When Dangdang returned home and heard about this, she was somewhat unhappy.
"Sis, what do you mean? Are you implying I can’t help you take care of the kid?"
The elder sister-in-law patted Dangdang’s hair. "Mom thought you should get married. If you go back with me, how will you get married?"
Dangdang thought of Wu Haipeng, and her face turned red.
She fiddled with her fingers.
"It doesn’t have to be right away; taking care of you during your confinement isn’t a problem!"
The elder sister-in-law laughed heartily, nodding in agreement with her words: "But I’m worried Wu Haipeng might not endure this!"
Dangdang let out an "Oh no!" and ran off.
Back in her room, she saw Erya, now known as Licorice, who had already made the bed and even helped prepare the foot bath water.
"Licorice, you don’t have to help me with these things in the future. I can handle them myself!"
Dangdang sighed, feeling that truly the kid was considerate, always thinking of everything.
Licorice scratched the back of her head. "Sister Dangdang, it’s nothing, really, it’s no trouble!"
Dangdang soaked in the hot water, full of sentiments: "Don’t be so cautious, the Tang family is very nice, they won’t bully you. Stay here and do your work well, it’s beneficial for you!"
Licorice obediently nodded.
She could naturally see that the Tang family was easy to get along with, and importantly, they didn’t look down on girls.
Licorice liked Tang Chuxia, especially admiring the confident aura Tang Chuxia had.
Somehow, the two started talking about Ah Duo, mentioning the elder sister-in-law wanting to find a nanny. Licorice initially wanted to say she could manage it too, but hearing Dangdang say the elder sister-in-law was leaving, she dared not speak up.
She really didn’t want to leave the Tang family.
-----------------
After sending the telegram, the post office had closed, so Tang Chuxia wandered back. Just as she was about to enter the alley, Wang Aihong called out to her.
"I just knew it was you!"
Wang Aihong got off her bicycle, walking it alongside Tang Chuxia.
"Where are you going?"
Tang Chuxia looked around but didn’t see anyone else. Wang Aihong patted her bicycle: "Where else could I go? Didn’t we say last time we would go with Old Guan to send the plaque? I thought I’d go see if there’s a place that can make a plaque!"
Tang Chuxia slapped her forehead, nearly forgetting about this matter.
Old Guan had been good to her; with the New Year approaching, it was necessary to visit Old Guan.
"Count me in, once it’s made, let’s go together!"
Tang Chuxia pulled out fifty dollars for Wang Aihong, who only took a ten-yuan note!
"A plaque, at most ten yuan, I know you don’t lack money; you foot the bill, and I do the legwork!"
Tang Chuxia didn’t stand on ceremony, took back the refunded money, and then inquired about Old Guan’s situation.
At the last class reunion, many things happened, and she didn’t get to talk to Old Guan much.
Wang Aihong, with a round face, got along well with others and had a warm heart, maintaining good relationships with everyone.
She shared quite a bit with Tang Chuxia, but just before they parted, she mentioned something.
"Be careful recently; I heard Liu Meijuan and Hu Mingcheng have met quite a few times, likely plotting something."
After saying this, Wang Aihong bid farewell and rode away.
Tang Chuxia rubbed her chin.
Lately, she had been busy and hadn’t paid much attention to Hu Mingcheng and Tang Wanqiu, not expecting there to be something involving Liu Meijuan as well.
She thought, if the two don’t cause trouble, that’s fine. But if they do, she wouldn’t mind making them regret it.
When she got home, Father Tang happened to come in too.
After his private stash was confiscated, Father Tang didn’t have a friendly attitude towards anyone, including Tang Chuxia.
"Running out again, a girl like you, what’s that all about?"
Father Tang intended to put on a strict father act to educate Tang Chuxia, but who would have thought she wasn’t afraid of him at all, even yelling to Madam Tang inside the house.
"Mom, Dad’s bullying me!"
Madam Tang ran out with a feather duster in hand.
Father Tang gave Tang Chuxia a glare and could only go in to appease her.
The scene was rather amusing.
Brother knocked on Tang Chuxia’s forehead: "You’re just causing trouble for Dad!"
Tang Chuxia nonchalantly retorted: "What trouble did I cause him? It’s him making something out of nothing!"
Brother shook his head: "Let’s not talk about Dad’s matters. Do you still remember what you promised our factory earlier?"
Tang Chuxia shook her head.
With so many things going on, she forgot about it.
Tang Jianbing didn’t expect her to remember and reminded her: "Didn’t you promise to start taking orders to help us repair machines once you got back?"
Tang Chuxia slapped her forehead: "There was such a thing!"
Tang Jianbing handed Tang Chuxia a piece of paper: "This is the timeline arrangement. See if there’s no problem, and I’ll send them a reply!"
Tang Chuxia hooked her arm around Tang Jianbing’s: "Big brother, you’re really acting like a manager for me. Arrange my future work, and I’ll give you a cut!"
Tang Jianbing, amused, poked her forehead and went to the study to make a call.
Tang Chuxia stood at the door and didn’t return to her room but turned around and went out again.
This time she entered the Gu Family through the main door.
Gu Beihuai, Father Gu, and Gu Nanzhi were working hard to swallow a table full of food.
Seeing Tang Chuxia appear was like seeing a savior.
Tang Chuxia looked puzzled.
Gu Nanzhi dropped his chopsticks and pulled Tang Chuxia to sit down, while Mrs. Gu also invited her to sit.
Tang Chuxia sat down in doubt and immediately understood the situation upon glancing at the food on the table. She hooked Mrs. Gu’s arm right away: "Aunt Hong, you cooked today, didn’t you?"
Mrs. Gu chuckled: "How did you know?"
Tang Chuxia beamed brightly, pointing out without any mercy at Gu Beihuai: "Of course, I could tell from Brother Beihuai’s face!"
Gu Beihuai had a bad feeling about this.
