My Celestial Ascension -
Chapter 753 - 753: Cleaning The City
Just as Emma was about to free the elves from their enslavement, the nobles sprang into action. They immediately surrounded her from all directions, weapons drawn.
Though they were still enchanted by Emma's divine beauty, none of them allowed themselves to be consumed by it. After all, she had just gruesomely killed one of their own.
"Be careful, everyone. She's dangerous!" the fat old man with the huge mustache warned, his expression deadly serious. Sweat beaded on his forehead as panic crept into his mind.
"Don't worry. There are many of us, and she's alone. We can take her down if we work together," the bald man said arrogantly, licking his lips as his eyes roamed over Emma's body.
Seeing this, the enslaved elf women began to panic, their fearful eyes darting between the nobles.
"Be careful! They have powerful magical artifacts!" one of the elves shouted, warning Emma of the danger.
However, Emma only smirked upon hearing this. "Don't worry. They're nothing more than ants to me. I can crush them anytime. Leave everything to me."
"But—" Before the elf woman could say more, a water arrow shot toward Emma at terrifying speed.
"Watch out!" another elf cried, her voice full of panic and fear.
Emma turned her head just in time to sense the incoming arrow—but she didn't dodge. Instead, she let it hit her, confident such a weak attack wouldn't even scratch her.
Boom! A massive explosion echoed through the room as the arrow struck Emma directly in the chest. Water burst everywhere, soaking the surroundings.
The nobles stared in disbelief.
Emma remained where she stood—completely unharmed. Not even a single scratch marked her body. She wore a wide grin as her eyes locked onto the stunned nobles.
"Is that all you've got? I'm quite disappointed…" she said coldly. Then, her killing intent surged through the room like a tidal wave, instantly forcing all the nobles to their knees.
The only ones unaffected were the elves, though even they trembled in fear. It was their first time experiencing such an overwhelming, otherworldly aura.
"You had your chance," Emma said with a soft chuckle. "Now it's my turn."
In an instant, her figure vanished. In the blink of an eye, she appeared before the bald man.
"Watch out! She—" the fat man tried to shout a warning, but it was already too late.
Before the bald man could even turn around, Emma slapped him so hard that his head exploded like a watermelon. Blood splattered across the room, painting the wall behind him red.
But Emma didn't stop there. She immediately lunged at the chubby man with the large mustache and struck him just as mercilessly, killing him in an instant.
Then, without hesitation, she slaughtered every person involved in the scandal. Anyone connected to the Holy Church was also eliminated without mercy.
Horrifying screams filled the entire area as those present witnessed the ruthless massacre unfold before their very eyes. Blood sprayed in all directions.
The floor of the mansion turned slick and treacherous, soaked in the blood of those who had perished. But Emma walked through it all, unbothered, making her way toward the enslaved elf women.
Once she reached them, she spoke with a calm smile on her face. "Now that I've taken care of the annoying people here, let me remove those collars from your necks."
The elves immediately lined up as Emma began destroying the magical collars one after another, freeing them from their suffering.
It wasn't difficult for Emma to destroy the slave collars using her Qi. The moment she injected her Qi into each one, the magic circle engraved on it was erased, rendering the collar useless.
Within a few minutes, she had freed all the elven women from their chains. And once they were finally free, they couldn't hold back the tears of joy. For the first time in ages, they were no longer bound by a cruel fate.
"Kind Lady, we're deeply grateful for your help. Because of you, we're free from our cursed life. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts," one of the elves said, stepping forward with a gentle smile still wet from her sobs.
"That's right. We've finally regained our freedom thanks to you. If you hadn't come, we would've remained nothing but playthings for the humans," another elf added, bowing her head as she expressed her heartfelt gratitude.
"There's no need to thank me," Emma replied softly, nodding in acknowledgment. "I saved you because two of my sisters are also elves."
"Now, you should leave this mansion as soon as possible. If you don't have a safe place to stay, go to the Imperial Palace. That place is safe for you," she said before turning away.
Without another word, Emma left the mansion, leaving the elves behind.
Emma didn't have time to chat with the elven women. Her mission wasn't over—not until she had eliminated as many Holy Church followers as possible. Before the night ended, she had to regroup with her husband and sisters, and then—together—they would destroy the Holy Church.
Once she left the mansion, she headed straight for the next target area where Holy Church followers were gathered. Without hesitation, she entered the mansion and killed anyone who appeared even remotely suspicious.
Using her Divine Sense to see and hear everything within range, Emma moved like a shadow through the night, taking full advantage of the darkness. She eliminated every single follower of the Holy Church—without sparing a soul.
Meanwhile, Yuan and his other wives were doing the same. They hunted down and executed anyone who had ties to the Holy Church, whether they were members or collaborators.
No one survived an encounter with Yuan or his wives. The moment they were found, they were executed—swiftly and without mercy. Not a single plea for help was heard; their necks were sliced cleanly by cold, unforgiving blades.
After continuously purging the city of the Church's influence, Yuan and his wives arrived at the final location—the heart of the Imperial City.
There, at the center, stood a small Holy Church structure built by the main Church under the guise of a temple for the citizens—to pray to the Goddess and seek her divine protection.
However, the truth was far more sinister. This church was nothing more than a covert embassy for the Holy Church, placed strategically to monitor the Imperial Family and exert control over the city from within.
As Yuan and his wives approached the church, they noticed it was still active—despite the hour being well past midnight.
Ordinary citizens never came here at such a late hour. So what was really happening inside? Were they engaging in illegal activities?
Yuan and his wives already knew the answer. With their Divine Sense, they had scanned the entire city and uncovered everything.
Beneath the church were hidden passages that spread out under the city like a web. A few of these tunnels led outside the city, and one of them connected directly to the true Holy Church beyond the capital—the main headquarters.
Within the lower levels of this church, they had found cells—crude, damp, and horrifying. Inside them were children, most around ten years old. None of them looked healthy.
They appeared emaciated, as if they had been starved for days. Their lifeless eyes, filled with despair and emptiness, confirmed what Yuan and his wives feared—they had been used as test subjects for horrific drug experiments.
"Let's go," Yuan said, his voice low and cold, laced with killing intent as he gazed at the church. "We must clean this place up as well… before we take down the main target—the Holy Church itself."
His wives nodded and followed him inside the church. As soon as they entered, they saw about twenty followers of the Holy Church gathered inside, laughing and drinking without a care in the world.
The stench of strong alcohol filled the air. Yuan and his wives quickly coated their faces with Qi, preventing the foul odor from entering their noses.
"Let's kill them all," Yuan said coldly before dashing toward the unsuspecting followers at an astonishing speed.
Suddenly, the Empyreal Oblivion materialized in his hand. As he reached close, Yuan gripped the hilt tightly and swung his sword parallel to the ground.
Swish! Slash!
In the blink of an eye, several followers were cut cleanly at the waist, their bodies collapsing to the ground in silence. They didn't even have time to react—death came before comprehension.
The remaining followers stood frozen, dumbfounded, unable to process what had just happened.
A moment ago, they were reveling—drinking and chatting about women. Now, some of their comrades were lying in pieces on the floor, slain by an intruder none of them had noticed until it was far too late.
More than five were dead in an instant—gone without knowing what or who had killed them.
Unfortunately for the rest, they wouldn't find out either. Multiple figures emerged from the shadows, blades gleaming and eyes full of cold fury. The attackers moved like phantoms, striking with precision and deadly silence.
Within seconds, every last follower of the Holy Church inside the church was eliminated.
The entire city was now free from their grip.
Once the last body hit the floor, Yuan and his wives quickly gathered the valuable items from the corpses, then headed toward the basement—where children and a few other prisoners were being kept in grim, locked cells.
Yuan reached the massive lock securing the prison door. Without effort, he gripped it and crushed it with his bare hand. The loud crunch of metal echoed through the basement, drawing shocked gasps from the prisoners inside.
"Take the children out of here and seek immediate medical attention from a healer. We have other business to handle, so we can't stay to help," Yuan said firmly, his voice laced with authority and his presence exuding a deadly aura.
"Understood, Sir! Leave the rest to us—we'll rescue the children!"
The adult prisoners nodded quickly, their faces pale and legs trembling after witnessing the sheer killing intent radiating from Yuan and his wives.
"Good. Now make it quick—and don't utter a single word about us. Or else…" Yuan warned, his gaze sharpening as he released just a hint of killing intent.
"We understand...!"
They nodded fearfully and rushed to rescue the children, helping them out of the hellish place where they had been starved, tortured, and experimented on like animals.
