After bathing, she changed into her pajamas, returned to the bedroom to check on Lu Lingche, and then went to her grandmother’s room.

Lu Lingche ignored her and carried her off to the bedroom, placed her on the bed, and then got on top of her onto the bed.

Lu Lingche kissed her and then turned off the light: “I can get up, but you are not allowed to run.”

“Fine, I won’t run.”

Qiao Yin said that, and seeing Lu Lingche roll over to her side, she immediately sat up and tried to get off the bed.

Lu Lingche pulled her back in one swift motion: “Didn’t you say you wouldn’t run? Are you lying to me?”

Qiao Yin, with righteous indignation, replied, “Yeah, I lied to you. So what, are you going to hit me?”

“Wouldn’t dare, and I can’t bear to. Even when you used to hit me and scold me almost to death, I never laid a finger on you. Now just because you lied to me a little, how could I possibly hit you?”

“You make it sound as if you have such a good temper.”

“True, my temper isn’t good with others, but with you, I think I can manage.”

While Lu Lingche was saying this, he pulled Qiao Yin into his arms.

He sighed contentedly, it was not easy; he had her in his arms again late at night, so fragrant and soft that he hardly wanted to sleep anymore, tempted to do something else.

Qiao Yin struggled: “Let me go.”

“Stop moving around. If you rub against me like that I might lose control.”

Qiao Yin dared not move anymore; when he really got going, he wasn’t human. Despite the gentle talk now, once his beastly nature surfaced, her pleas would be useless.

Seeing that she had truly stopped moving, Lu Lingche chuckled lightly: “Such a good girl.”

He lowered his head and kissed her forehead: “It’s late; we should sleep.”

His lips were warm, and Qiao Yin couldn’t help but shiver slightly, surrounded by his scent that, just like him, was overwhelmingly invasive.

Outside, the cold wind howled, but his embrace was very warm and comfortable.

Qiao Yin thought it over and decided not to struggle and just closed her eyes to sleep; she was very tired and sleepy herself.
