Chapter 51 - 51 51 I've Brought You Plates
51: Chapter 51 I’ve Brought You Plates 51: Chapter 51 I’ve Brought You Plates “Ah, time to start working again,” Zhao Guang reluctantly shifted his gaze away from the long legs on the street.
He would need to rest early today to prepare for another departure tomorrow.
These past two days, besides taking care of his own matters, Zhao Guang spent the remaining time training in the Otherworld.
However, since he had manual labor to do tomorrow, he decided to rest well today.
The next day, like usual, Zhao Guang checked the situation on the other side with his camera.
The appointed time had arrived, and the beastmen had indeed cordoned off the area ahead of time.
But seeing some beastmen with arrows stuck in their bodies, Zhao Guang noted how fierce these creatures truly were.
But fierce as they were, why didn’t they remove the arrows?
Did it really feel comfortable to keep them in there?
Zhao Guang shook his head and then crossed over.
“Brothers, I’m here!”
Kapas rushed up and hugged Zhao Guang tightly, almost leaving him breathless: “Haha, brother, you finally made it, I’ve missed you so much.
Hey, you seem to have gotten a lot sturdier since last time.”
Zhao Guang rolled his eyes.
He might not have been training night and day recently, but he had still invested a significant amount of time.
If there had been no effect at all, that would mean all his effort was in vain.
“Let go, let go, I need to get the goods.”
“Do you have spicy liquor this time, and how much?” Upon hearing this, the eyes of those around turned green with envy.
“Yes, yes, yes,” Zhao Guang looked at them irritably.
Did these guys not realize that iron was the most important part of the trade this time?
Yet in their eyes, all that excited them was the food.
What a bunch of foodies, Zhao Guang thought to himself.
He moved to another area and began to work.
Using the conveyor belt, he tossed the items over one by one.
The beastmen on the other side were ready and caught each item efficiently.
As Zhao Guang’s physical strength had improved, so had his speed in transporting the goods.
It didn’t take long to finish shipping everything.
The items didn’t look like much, but being made of iron, they were very heavy.
After delivering the iron plates, Zhao Guang started delivering other items while conducting the trade.
Moreover, this was also a way to build a good relationship with the beastmen, lest they become dissatisfied.
“How come there’s only this much?
This is way too little,” Kapas complained to Zhao Guang after everything had been delivered.
“Come on, that’s plenty.
It’s already twice as much as last time.” Any more than that, and he’d be overwhelmed.
“Bring more next time, this just isn’t enough.
And those people at the back, always asking for things from us.
Really, we don’t have enough for ourselves, let alone to keep some for them.”
It wasn’t just Kapas complaining.
Even Osra, the son of the Clan Leader, began to grumble.
“Why is the iron you brought this time shaped like this?
These aren’t iron ingots.”
Suddenly, Osra noticed the plates delivered earlier.
He struck one hard, and a look of surprise crossed his face.
“This isn’t ordinary iron, this is Fine Steel!”
“What, Fine Steel?
Really?
Brother, you’re too good to us,” Kapas exclaimed, moving to embrace Zhao Guang.
If Zhao Guang hadn’t run away fast, he would probably have suffered another round of crushing.
“Stop, stop, just stop there.
You mean these plates, no, these Chestplate Mirrors?
I had a hard time getting hold of these.
If you were to sell them in the human world, they would be incredibly expensive.”
“Brother, you’ve been so good to us,” he said with assurance, “don’t worry, anyone who dares to touch you would have to step over my dead body.”
Zhao Guang rolled his eyes—out of all these people, you’re the one touching me.
Ouch, that slap from earlier still hurts.
“What’s with these holes on these things?
What are they for?”
Pointing at the holes, Zhao Guang explained, “You see this spot here?
You can thread a rope through it and then tie it around your body.
That way, your vital areas will be protected, especially against arrows which they’re particularly effective against.”
“It looks like you made these especially for us.
You really went to a lot of trouble.”
Look at him, Osra is truly the Clan Leader’s son—his words are so much more measured.
By this time, Osra had already tied a iron plate to his body as suggested.
That huge iron plate was actually quite suitable for these Beastmen.
However, suddenly, Zhao Guang’s expression changed, because Osra was starting to take things a step further.
He connected two iron plates and strapped them directly over his chest, creating a shape that looked really strange.
“Hahahaha, this is definitely the best way to use it.”
Zhao Guang watched as Kapas threaded the iron plates together, wrapping them in a circle around his body.
Even on his two large behinds, he placed two plates and kept twisting around.
But what’s the deal with stripping off your clothes?
Though Beastmen’s clothes are quite simple, having them on is still different from not having them at all.
All those animal tails swinging back and forth gives off a lot of pressure, okay?
Zhao Guang tried to smooth down the goosebumps on his skin and pretended not to see.
“Let’s speed up, let’s hurry over there,” he suggested and simply hopped on his little tricycle, racing ahead.
The other Beastmen, seeing that Zhao Guang had already left, quickly stopped showing off and followed.
But for those who didn’t have time to put on their clothes, it was quite an eye-burning sight as they swayed all the way there.
It’s a pity; I don’t know if these Beastmen appreciate art.
Otherwise, I might’ve shared a bit with them.
The thought of art suddenly made Zhao Guang shiver, and he quickly shook this terrifying thought out of his head.
“Haha, we’re here, the Elder came out personally to greet us.”
The group finally arrived, and seeing the Elder waiting outside, Kapas quickened his pace.
However, Elder Lai Wu’s expression had already turned somewhat sour.
“You rascals, what are you doing looking like this?
Have you forgotten everything about Human customs I taught you during this time?”
The Beastmen, finally remembering, stood in a line looking as large and strong as ever but as sheepish as quails.
Zhao Guang quickly said, “That’s okay, there’s no need to learn things from the Human side.
Beastmen should naturally follow Beastman culture; otherwise, wouldn’t it look quite strange?”
“Right, right, we should follow our Beastman culture.”
A puzzled Beastman touched his large head and said, “But what is our Beastman culture?”
“Yeah, I can’t read, and I don’t think anyone has told us about these things.”
Unable to help himself, Zhao Guang smacked his own forehead, forgetting that these guys didn’t know a single character.
Even when he tried to speak for them, sometimes they’d undercut themselves.
Sure enough, Elder Lai Wu’s face darkened even more upon hearing this.
