Mrs. and Mr. Smith -
Chapter 1915
Chapter 1915: Chapter 1915: The Rebellious Emily Taylor_1 Chapter 1915: Chapter 1915: The Rebellious Emily Taylor_1 Liam Garrett sighed slightly, showing his helpless expression.
Emily Taylor, as always, did not take Liam's words to heart at all.
She seemed like a rebellious child, longing for a rare moment of relaxation and recklessness.
That night, Ethan Smith and Emily Taylor lay on the grass, looking up at the brilliant stars in the sky.
Emily stretched out her hand saying, “The stars seem so close, I feel like I can catch them.”
Ethan laughed, “Which one do you like? I'll pick it for you someday!”
“I like every single one.” Emily turned to face Ethan.
Their faces were close to each other, close enough to hear each other's breaths.
Ethan's heart raced as he gazed at Emily's stunning face.
The two kept looking at each other, drawing closer and closer.
Ethan extended his hand, pulling Emily's waist towards him, and their lips gently pressed together.
Emily's lips were soft, as if kissing a marshmallow, and their moist touch made Ethan reluctant to part.
Liam's face turned green, his fists clenched tightly as he thought, “These two are getting bolder and bolder!”
Fortunately, they didn't go any further, releasing each other and looking up at the starry sky again.
That's when Emily suddenly suggested, “Ethan, let's go out and have some fun?”
“Go out and play?” Ethan was momentarily confused – “Where?”
“Leave the Taylor family, anywhere else would do! Let's go eat some delicious food, how about that?” Emily said excitedly.
As she spoke, her eyes were almost glowing, even brighter than the dazzling stars above.
Ethan knew Emily's life was extremely stifling, burdened by so many expectations.
She had always been Miss Taylor from Earth; now in the Holy Region, she bore even more responsibilities than she should. It seemed that freedom had never had anything to do with her.
“Alright, but can we leave?” Ethan asked.
Emily whispered, “We can't, but we can sneak out and sneak back in before they find out!”
“Hmm… Wouldn't there be any problems? If we get caught, they won't do anything to you, right?” Ethan asked tentatively.
Emily hurriedly replied, “That's what makes it more thrilling and fun!”
“Alright!” Ethan agreed without hesitation!
To leave Keelbour Mountain, they would have to bypass Liam Garrett.
But Liam was like a never-tiring hound, hiding in the shadows and observing the two, preventing them from finding any opportunity to escape.
“It doesn't seem very feasible for us to sneak out. How about bringing Liam along?” Ethan joked.
Emily quickly shook her head, “No, no, no, not to mention whether he would agree, even if he did, I don't want him to come with us. I want a date just for the two of us.”
The more Emily spoke, the more excited she became – what seemed like an ordinary affair to others felt like a major adventure for her!
“I have an idea!” Emily's eyes suddenly sparkled, she declared excitedly, “I'm going to the bloodline baptism tomorrow. I'll deceive Liam into staying at the Central Saint Hall, saying someone wants to see him!”
Without a doubt, the Central Saint Hall was the core area of the Taylor family and the resting place of the Holy Lord.
“That's the plan! You wait for my good news tomorrow!” Emily said excitedly.
Ethan nodded, “Alright, let's do it!”
The next day, under Liam's guidance, Emily left Keelbour Mountain to go to the Central Saint Hall.
Ethan was left alone on the mountain, awaiting good news from Emily.
Around noon, an extremely brilliant light erupted from the center of Taylor family's residence.
The light soared, scattering all the clouds in the sky!
From the Central Saint Hall, a radiance spread in all directions, covering the entire Taylor family's sect in no time!
This light felt like a heavenly blessing, comforting everyone who basked in it.
Ethan spread his arms, absorbing the energy from the Taylor family at an accelerated pace, even his divine sense was enhanced at that moment.
The sensation was bizarre, as if he was comprehending the Great Dao, his mind becoming exceedingly clear.
However, the glow didn't last long, it vanished without a trace just a few minutes later.
Evidently, this was the Taylor family's bloodline baptism.
The mere effect the light radiating from the baptism had was astonishing, it went without saying that Emily, who received the baptism, must have benefitted tremendously.
“Bloodline baptism, this is the first time I've ever heard of it.” Ethan thought to himself.
He took the holy medicine Emily had given him and swallowed it, slowly absorbing its potency inside him.
As the saintess of the Taylor family, Emily received the most exceptional and top-quality holy medicine. The elevation it brought to Ethan was beyond imagination.
In just one day, Ethan felt his internal energy becoming as vast as the ocean.
This realization left him in awe.
The resources of the Nine Great Families were truly terrifying. With such resources, even a worthless person could cultivate to unimaginable heights.
The sky began to darken, and Emily had not yet returned.
Ethan stood up and looked into the distance, activating his desolate divine eye and tried to capture a glimpse of something in the direction of the Central Saint Hall.
Unfortunately, the desolate divine eye could not perceive anything, as it was extremely far from the Central Saint Hall.
The night had completely fallen, and countless stars decorated the dark canvas above. Ethan sat down and continued to absorb the Taylor family's energy.
He tried to sense the dao techniques of the family, as this place was blessed, providing him with faster cultivation progress than anywhere else.
After an indeterminate amount of time, Ethan sensed a faint presence approaching.
He immediately got up and gazed into the distance.
In no time, Emily returned to Keelbour Mountain.
She hurried to Ethan's side, excitedly urging, “Hurry up and let's go, this is a once-in-lifetime opportunity.”
Without waiting for Ethan's response, Emily grabbed his hand and ran towards a location on Keelbour Mountain.
They arrived at the teleportation formation, and Emily impulsively stepped into it with Ethan.
Within a second, the two had traversed the void, leaving Keelbour Mountain, and appeared in the middle of a bustling area.
Although it was night, the place was still incredibly lively. Crowds filled the streets; vendors were selling, people drinking and playing, and even having poetry battles and playing chess.
Of course, there were also herb sellers, but the herbs here were quite ordinary and not worth paying attention to.
“Phew, we finally made it out.” Emily's eyes were filled with excitement.
