Chapter 1829
Chapter 1829: Chapter 1829: Addison Tenny VS Peak Master_1 Chapter 1829: Chapter 1829: Addison Tenny VS Peak Master_1 “Thank you, Dean!” Ethan Smith bowed once again.
The Institute Head waved his hand, and without lingering, his body gradually faded and disappeared completely.
In the vast Mystic Realm, only Ethan Smith remained.
This was an immensely vast land, where the surrounding area was covered by immortal graves, and the place where Ethan Smith was at the moment was the only safe spot.
At a glance, all he could see was a vast expanse of white. Besides that, Ethan could not see anything clearly.
But at this moment, Ethan stopped thinking about it.
He only knew that this was his only chance, the only opportunity to stand shoulder to shoulder with the children of the aristocratic families of the Central Province!
This was the Immortal Burial, the core of Thunder Courtyard – Ethan dared not to probe it. With his present realm, he was not qualified to explore the immortal graves.
He sat cross-legged on the ground, feeling the Daoist of the Immortal Emperor from the immortal graves, and the trace of dark energy diffused in this dao technique.
With the help of this terrifying dao technique, Ethan began his closed-door cultivation.
Accompanied by the absorption of dark energy, Ethan spent just a few days to successfully step into the half-step Reversion Void Stage.
His strength naturally experienced a massive improvement at this realm, but that wasn't the key; the key was the Valepeak Buddha Flame in the palm of his hand.
Ethan held the Valepeak Buddha Flame and took a soft breath.
“After waiting for so long, it's finally time to devour the Valepeak Buddha Flame,” Ethan thought to himself.
He didn't waste any time and started to devour the Valepeak Buddha Flame immediately.
The Valepeak Buddha Flame flickered seductively and slowly hovered above Ethan's head.
A faint glow enveloped Ethan's body, seemingly fusing with his flesh.
It was more accurate to say that he was being devoured by the Valepeak Buddha Flame, rather than devouring it.
This was an extremely long process, taking at least a year, or even several years.
All of Ethan's attention was focused on devouring the Valepeak Buddha Flame.
Time passed by minute by minute, and several days went by in the blink of an eye. The Valepeak Buddha Flame hovering above his head was only devoured a bit.
Outside world
Demonslaying Peak continued to accept tasks, and people grew more and more puzzled about Ethan's identity.
Being able to allow Ethan to enter the immortal grave for cultivation was an opportunity others could only envy.
One day, Demonslaying Peak issued another task.
Salena Carpenter ran to the entrance of the cave abode to accept the new task.
However, the peak master took her aside and shook his head: “You don't need to take on any more tasks for now. There's a risk to your life if you do. This was also what Ethan asked me to warn you about.”
Salena frowned and asked, “Why?”
The peak master didn't hide anything. He pointed his finger and said, “The Tenny family is watching outside. They've brought a Saint Weapon.”
Hearing this, a trace of solemnity flashed across Salena's face.
There was no need to explain what a Saint Weapon meant.
Even someone like Forrest Middleton had to flee in a sorry state under the power of a Saint Weapon, let alone others.
“Are you saying I have to stay here forever?” Salena said with some dissatisfaction.
The peak master sighed, “Just stay here for now. I'll try to find an opportunity to talk to the Tenny family.”
Salena no longer argued. In the current situation, she could only agree temporarily.
That day
Everyone with tasks left Demonslaying Peak.
Addison Tenny and his group still hid outside of the Thunder Courtyard, watching those leaving the Demonslaying Peak coldly.
“Mr. Tenny, it's been so long, but why hasn't Ethan shown up yet?” Someone nearby asked.
“He must've gotten the news and is hiding inside the Thunder Courtyard,” another follower said coldly.
Addison squinted his eyes and sneered, “I don't believe he can hide here for a lifetime!”
As they spoke, another group of people left Demonslaying Peak.
This group happened to be led by the peak master.
He stood on the high ground, looking down at Addison Tenny and his group.
“Peak Master, what's the matter?” Someone beside him inquired.
The peak master waved his hand and said, “You go ahead and wait for me.”
After the person left, the peak master's feet trembled, and he headed towards Addison's direction.
Seeing the approaching peak master, Addison squinted his eyes and sneered.
“Who are you, a member of the Tenny family? Why do you find it so hard to let go of my Thunder Courtyard's cultivators?” The peak master asked directly.
Addison glanced at the peak master and said mockingly, “Who are you? What qualifies you to talk to me?”
The peak master didn't get angry, and calmly replied, “I am the Demonslaying Peak Master. Not long ago, your Tenny family members attacked my Demonslaying Peak and caused injuries to my people. My Demonslaying Peak never asked for an explanation from your family, yet you're waiting out here again. What is your purpose?”
Addison's face turned cold, and he said, “Just a mere peak master, do you have the qualifications to talk to me? Do you think you're a high-ranking member of the Thunder Courtyard?”
The peak master sneered, “The Tenny family is just a second-rate family in the Central Province, is it not? Do you think you're a child of the Monohorse Hall?”
This comment made Addison's face turn icy cold.
“What, do you want to make a move on me?” The peak master's eyes narrowed, “Don't forget, this is Thunder Courtyard's territory.”
“So what if it is? With my Saint Weapon, it's as easy as killing an ant to kill you!” Addison shouted.
The peak master crossed his arms over his chest and said indifferently, “Just a Saint Weapon, so what? Do you think my Thunder Courtyard doesn't have any?”
The atmosphere suddenly became tense, as if a fight could break out at any moment.
At this moment, a follower of Addison Tenny laughed and said, “I remember the rules of the Thunder Courtyard. As long as you don't step into it, the Thunder Courtyard won't interfere in any worldly matters.”
“In other words, once you leave the Thunder Courtyard, whether you live or die, the Thunder Courtyard won't investigate, right?”
“So what?” The peak master asked coldly.
“We are just waiting here and haven't violated the rules of the Thunder Courtyard. You have no right to question us,” the follower continued.
Addison was reminded, and with narrowed eyes, he said coldly, “So, are you saying that even if I kill you at the Thunder Courtyard's gate, you would die in vain?”
“That's right, but you'd better think it through. If you kill me, someone from Demonslaying Peak will certainly come to avenge me,” the peak master scoffed.
Just as Addison was about to speak, his follower hurriedly said, “Of course, we will not attack you. We only seek revenge on the person who wronged us. Peak Master, please don't get involved in this muddy water.”
“So, there's no room for negotiation?” The peak master asked.
“No,” Addison replied without hesitation.
Seeing this, the peak master said no more and turned to leave.
After he left, Addison's face turned even colder.
“Find a chance to kill him,” Addison said coldly.
“Not just him, but all members of Demonslaying Peak as well. None should be spared!”
