Chapter 1825
Chapter 1825: Chapter 1825: A Member of the Tenny Family Takes Action! Chapter 1825: Chapter 1825: A Member of the Tenny Family Takes Action! Ethan Smith's face was as calm as water. He looked at Salena Carpenter and asked, “Are those two very powerful?”
Salena nodded lightly and replied, “They are strong, but what I'm more concerned about is whether there are more hidden forces in the shadows.”
Ethan nodded slightly. *Her words made perfect sense.*
For a Great Family like the Tenny family in the Central Province, finding someone at the Reversion Void Stage was not particularly difficult.
“As long as we can return to Thunder Courtyard, we'll be safe,” Ethan said.
Salena opened her mouth to speak, but her expression abruptly turned icy.
“I'm afraid it's already too late,” she said coldly.
In the next moment, Salena's petite hand trembled as she summoned the Glided Rake!
The Glided Rake emitted a golden radiance in Salena's hand, and the murderous spirit emanating from her erupted to its peak in an instant.
Though Salena was only at the Returning Void Early Stage, her innate power coupled with the absorption of the purple cloud pearl had elevated her strength to immeasurable levels.
Ethan knew their pursuers had caught up, so he didn't waste words, unleashing all his Qi Jin and preparing for the fight.
“Step aside,” Salena said coldly.
“Either get out of here while you can or leave me to handle this. Staying here serves no purpose.”
Ethan opened his mouth but felt deeply uncomfortable inside. *He hated being shielded by others, and he detested this feeling of utter helplessness.*
*Yet the harsh truth was that Ethan, as he currently stood, was simply no match for an opponent at the Reversion Void Stage.*
“Buzz!”
The Void was torn apart as two men stepped out.
These were the henchmen sent by the Tenny family.
They looked down on Salena and Ethan from above, sneering coldly, “You ran faster than I expected.”
Ethan clenched his fists slightly and asked coldly, “What's happening with Forrest Middleton now?”
“Oh? Facing certain death and still worrying about others?” One of them sneered.
“Ethan Smith, you stole from the Tenny family. Hand it over now, or face inevitable death,” the other scolded.
“Quit your damn yammering!” Salena roared angrily as she shook the Glided Rake, stepping firmly in front of Ethan.
“If it's a fight you want, I'll gladly oblige!” Salena's wild hair swirled, making her look like a demonic goddess.
The two men exchanged glances, grinning coldly. “If I'm not mistaken, you must be Salena Carpenter, one of the Southern Province's triple madness. Unfortunately, you're no match for the both of us.”
“Bullshit!” Salena spat back venomously.
At this moment, Ethan stepped forward to stop Salena.
He raised his eyes to the two men hovering in mid-air and said, “You're after the token, aren't you? I suppose it must have something to do with a Forbidden Zone?”
“Forbidden Zone?” A flash of confusion crossed their faces.
Ethan furrowed his brow. *It seemed these two had no knowledge of the Tenny family's secret.*
*Which made sense. If such information were leaked, the Tenny family would never have the power to retain the token.*
For that reason, the Tenny family would never allow such a critical secret to be shared openly.
“So, you're just a couple of lackeys,” Ethan sneered.
“Go back and tell your Mr. Tenny if he dares to come after me again, I'll spread word of this to the Nine Aristocratic Families of the Central Province. That'll ruin all his plans!” Ethan shouted.
Their brows furrowed deeply, impatience evident in their expressions. “We don't know what you're talking about. If you've got something to say, come back with us to the Tenny family and tell Mr. Tenny yourself.”
“That depends on whether you've got what it takes,” Ethan said coldly.
*But internally, Ethan knew his current power couldn't possibly fend off these two adversaries.*
*He placed all his hope on Salena. With her strength and the Glided Rake, they had a fighting chance.*
Salena shook the Glided Rake in her hand, pointing it at them.
Then, she glanced at Ethan and whispered, “Head back to Thunder Courtyard.”
Ethan nodded and said, “Hold them off. I'll rush back to Thunder Courtyard for reinforcements.”
Thunder Courtyard had many top-level experts, possibly even True Saints. With their intervention, these two would be insignificant.
After offering his words, Ethan activated the line word formula and prepared to retreat.
“Leaving? Dream on!” one of them roared, charging straight at Ethan.
“Screw you!”
Just then, Salena swung the Glided Rake violently, smashing it toward the attacker!
A terrifying surge of energy exploded in that instant, splitting the space around them in two!
Even before the Glided Rake hit, its sheer aura had crushed everything in its vicinity!
“No!” The Tenny henchman who had tried to chase Ethan turned pale and quickly dodged aside.
Despite his quick reflexes, the residual force of the Glided Rake's aura grazed him.
Even that slight touch sent him flying and left him spewing blood endlessly!
Seeing this, Ethan felt a small sense of relief.
He wasted no further time, utilizing the line word formula to speed away like a shooting star.
The path behind felt as if Salena had physically severed it. If the two men hoped to pursue Ethan, they would first have to get past her.
Salena gripped the enormous Glided Rake with one hand, her eyes–usually clear and bright–now radiating an unprecedented murderous intent.
“You're just two dogs. Today, I'll slaughter you both,” Salena declared coldly.
“Damn it, ruining the Tenny family's plan! You're dead!” they roared furiously, launching a simultaneous attack in an attempt to subdue Salena.
Salena's hand trembled slightly, releasing a stream of purple light from her palm.
The purple brilliance intertwined with the golden radiance of the Glided Rake, suffusing the air with an overwhelming pressure!
Salena wielded the Glided Rake with both hands, nearly shattering this patch of Heaven and Earth with every swing!
Meanwhile, Ethan didn't dare to dawdle. He raced toward Thunder Courtyard with all his might.
The urgency drove Ethan's speed to its very limit.
Fortunately, Thunder Courtyard wasn't too far away. In just over two hours, Ethan reached Demon-slaying Peak.
As soon as he arrived, he rushed toward the peak master's cave abode.
But to his dismay, the master's cave abode was completely empty.
Left with no other option, Ethan hurriedly made his way to Ninth Cloud's cave abode.
As expected, the peak master was playing chess with Ninth Cloud.
The peak master wasn't overly surprised to see Ethan walk in.
Without pausing his chess game, he asked casually, “What's the matter, ready at last?”
Ethan's expression darkened as he said, “Master, Salena Carpenter and I were ambushed. She's in grave danger and needs your help.”
The peak master frowned, slowly rising to his feet. “Salena was ambushed? By whom?”
“The Taylor family from the Central Province,” Ethan replied grimly.
*Though he felt uncertain, Ethan couldn't help fearing the peak master might decline to offer assistance.*
“They dare to challenge someone from my Demon-slaying Peak? They must have a death wish!” the peak master said coldly.
He turned to Ninth Cloud and said, “Ninth Cloud, go summon the people from Demon-slaying Peak!”
