Chapter 1766: Chapter 1766: Ken Middleton and Forrest Middleton_1 Chapter 1766: Chapter 1766: Ken Middleton and Forrest Middleton_1 The mysterious figure gazed at Forrest Middleton indifferently. Though his face was concealed, one could still envision the smug expression he must have at that moment.

Forrest's face was chillingly cold as he glared at the figure in front of him and said, “This matter isn't for me. It's for Ethan Smith. Strictly speaking, I wouldn't even call it asking for your help.”

These words left the mysterious figure momentarily stunned.

He remained silent for a long time before letting out a faint scoff and saying, “What is it? Speak.”

Forrest promptly recounted the entire situation to the mysterious figure.

After listening, the figure narrowed his eyes slightly and said softly, “Damage to the primordial spirit? This isn't a trivial issue.”

“If it were simple, I wouldn't have come looking for you,” Forrest replied coldly.

The figure pondered for a moment, then said, “Give me a few days.”

“How long? Ethan's body likely won't hold out much longer,” Forrest said with a frown.

The mysterious figure thought for a moment and then responded, “Five days. I'll come to find you in five days.”

“So you're saying you've agreed to help?” Forrest pressed.

“Yes,” the voice of the mysterious figure carried a trace of seriousness.

Forrest didn't say more and turned to leave the place.

Meanwhile, the mysterious figure merged into the Void and disappeared without a trace.

Denton Horton had been struck down, and Ethan Smith's primordial spirit was damaged.

The news spread through the Southern Province, leaving people with a mix of joy and worry.

“Damage to the primordial spirit, at best, impacts one's foundation. At worst, it could be fatal.”

“If anyone has any ideas, don't keep them to yourselves.”

“With our capabilities, I'm afraid we can't be of much help.”

Throughout the Southern Province, many began to search for ways to aid Ethan Smith of their own accord.

Some even brought in so-called local Masters and obscure remedies to offer him pills.

Unfortunately, these pills were clearly fraudulent goods, incapable of offering any real assistance.

Time flowed by, day by day. The North Plain and the Westeria Land vanished one after another, leaving the vast Rayleigh Province seemingly only with the Southern Province and the East State.

The East State differed from the Southern Province; it was teeming with sects and brimming with experts.

While the North Plain and Westeria Land were considered two barren wastelands, now that the Great Upheaval was underway, no one could be sure whether these desolate lands might turn into lucky lands.

Thus, sects in the East State seized this opportunity, venturing early to these regions, hoping to claim them as their own.

The internal struggles of the East State unfolded upon the lands of the North Plain and the Westeria Land.

Fortunately, the Southern Province kept its distance, with even its most powerful sect, the Cloud Sect, refraining from involvement.

On Cultivation Mountain, after several days of recuperation and cultivation, Ken Middleton's body had recovered significantly.

The lower half of his body, which had been severed, had now healed perfectly.

“Why were you so fearful of Denton Horton back then?” Forrest poured Ken a cup of tea. After this recent battle, the relationship between the two brothers seemed to have grown closer.

Ken responded coldly, “Who would've thought the arrival of the Golden Age would give cultivators the chance to ascend to the Reversion Void Stage.”

*Forrest understood Ken's reasoning.*

He took a sip of tea and said lightly, “If the Golden Age hadn't arrived, Denton Horton would truly be unstoppable.”

“Indeed,” Ken nodded.

“Although I had considered it, I couldn't gamble with the fate of the entire Southern Province.

*Forrest, being Ken's elder brother, naturally understood his thoughts and intentions.*

“Once I finish this tea, I'll be leaving,” Ken suddenly said.

“Where to?” Forrest asked.

Ken shook his head and replied, “I don't know. You should understand by now–I can't stay in any one place.”

Speaking of this, Ken added a reminder, “When Ethan wakes up, thank him on my behalf. If fate permits, I'll thank him in person one day.”

*Forrest knew he wouldn't be able to stop Ken, so he said nothing more.*

Time flew by.

In the blink of an eye, the day of Forrest's appointment with the mysterious figure arrived.

That morning, Forrest stood alone atop Cultivation Mountain. He gazed skyward, seemingly awaiting the arrival of the mysterious figure.

From morning until dusk, the Void before Forrest finally began to stir.

Soon after, the mysterious figure emerged from it.

“How'd it go?” Forrest asked.

The mysterious figure glanced at Forrest and said flatly, “You seem rather anxious. That's not like you. In my memory, you only care about two people.”

Forrest furrowed his brow, a hint of displeasure flashing across his face.

The mysterious figure rubbed his chin and said, “One is your younger brother, Ken Middleton. The other seems to be the First Elder who came out of the sect with you. Apart from those two, you don't even seem to care about your own descendants.”

Forrest's expression grew colder, his anger clearly brewing.

Yet the mysterious figure showed no signs of stopping as he suddenly exclaimed, “Ah! I remember now–your son… isn't biologically yours, is he?”

“Enough nonsense!” Forrest's voice was chillingly cold.

He glared at the mysterious figure and said, “Can you handle this task or not? If not, then get lost.”

The mysterious figure burst into laughter. He flipped his palm, producing a pill.

“Have him take this pill, and it'll save his life,” the figure said casually.

“However, I must tell you–damage to the primordial spirit isn't something that can be cured by one pill alone. It will be a long process.”

“His primordial spirit will develop hidden ailments, intermittently troubling him. As for how long it will take to recover, that will depend on fate.”

*Hearing this, Forrest furrowed his brows.*

He accepted the pill and asked, “Is there no other way? The child's time is running out; he…”

“No,” the mysterious figure interrupted him. He continued teasing, “You really have changed–you're actually worried about someone else.”

*Forrest didn't want to entangle himself in this topic and simply waved him off. “You can go now.”*

After those words, Forrest prepared to head to Grandeous Mountain and swiftly administer the pill to Ethan Smith.

“Forrest, there's one more vital thing you need to hear,” the mysterious figure suddenly said from behind.

“What is it? Speak,” Forrest said, without turning around.

The mysterious figure squinted and said, “Did you perhaps offend someone from the Central Province?”

*Forrest remained silent, seemingly lost in thought.*

“At an auction in the Southern Province, you injured a young man,” the figure reminded him.

Forrest acknowledged with a quiet hum, offering no further inquiry.

The figure spoke gravely, “I must warn you–that young man's background is not simple. His clan is renowned even in the Central Province.”

“I recently heard that the young master doesn't plan to let this go. You'd best be cautious.”

Upon hearing this, Forrest replied coolly, “Then let him come. I'll be waiting for him in the Southern Province.”
