Mrs. and Mr. Smith
Chapter 1624

Chapter 1624: Chapter 1624: Red Purple Volcano Chapter 1624: Chapter 1624: Red Purple Volcano “I just can't figure it out, why has the sect master changed so much…” the Deputy Sect Master muttered softly while lying in bed.

*Could it really be that he's afraid of the North Plain?*

*That can't be. He once witnessed the glory of the sect master's battles in the past, his awe-inspiring presence that terrified all the major sects!*

*If it hadn't been for the dead river blocking the way, the expansion of the Cloud Sect would never have stopped.*

*So how could he fear the North Plain now?*

“Perhaps it's because the sect master feels it's not worth taking action yet,” he murmured to himself.

At that moment, Kingsley Kelley walked in from outside.

The Deputy Sect Master looked at Kingsley, frowned, and asked, “What do you mean by that?”

Kingsley responded in a deep voice, “I'm just speculating. Maybe the sect master is waiting for the Lord of North Plain. I suspect he won't reveal himself until that person appears.”

Hearing this, the Deputy Sect Master fell into deep thought.

*Suddenly, he felt the sect master seemed like an extremely cold-hearted individual.*

*His own son was slain, yet he didn't fly into a rage. His blood brother died in the North Plain, but still, he took no action.*

*To him, what truly matters in this world? The Deputy Sect Master found himself increasingly perplexed.*

“Deputy Sect Master, I'll be entering seclusion soon as well,” Kingsley said to him.

“In preparation for such a great war, I too wish to contribute,” he added.

The Deputy Sect Master remained silent, seeming to tacitly approve of Kingsley's resolve.

Grandeous Mountain.

Ethan Smith was still diligently refining one Beast Spirit Pill after another.

In just over a month, Ethan Smith had refined thousands of Beast Spirit Pills!

This pace, even within the Holy Region, was enough to shock everyone far and wide!

Looking at the numerous Beast Spirit Pills before him, Ethan wiped the sweat from his brow.

“These pills should suffice,” Ethan thought to himself.

When he finished, Ethan summoned all the sect masters to gather.

The Southern Province was vast beyond compare, with countless top sects spread throughout.

At a glance, there were at least a hundred sect masters present.

Ethan pointed at the Beast Spirit Pills before him and said, “Each sect master here may retrieve fifty pills. As for how to distribute them, that's for each of you to decide.”

One by one, the sect masters cupped their hands in gratitude toward Ethan and then began orderly collecting the Beast Spirit Pills.

“Ethan, thank you,” an elderly sect master said sincerely, gripping Ethan's hand with a touch of emotion in his gaze.

Ethan replied solemnly, “Although I've distributed these Beast Spirit Pills to you all, I also earnestly hope that each of your sects can protect these lands. A full-scale war will break out soon.”

“Ethan, don't worry! From the very moment Senior Ken Middleton died, we've been in a battle to the death with the North Plain!” A sect master roared fervently.

Like a stone cast into a turbulent pond, the sentiment rippled through the crowd, and everyone began shouting loudly in unison.

Witnessing such an overwhelming fervor, Ethan couldn't help but feel a slight sense of bittersweet emotion in his heart.

*If Ken Middleton were to see such a display, perhaps he'd be comforted.*

After the sect masters had dispersed, Ethan turned to look at Randall Freeman.

“Master, it's time we set off for the Red Purple Volcano,” Ethan said.

Randall Freeman furrowed his brows slightly and asked, “Aren't you planning to rest for a few days?”

“No, time is tight, and none of us can afford any delays,” Ethan shook his head and replied.

Understanding Ethan's temperament, Randall Freeman chose not to press further.

“Then let's depart now,” Randall said.

Ethan nodded in agreement. He summoned the Divine Eagle, and the two of them boarded it, heading toward the Red Purple Volcano.

Red Purple Volcano.

The area was oppressively hot, with everything nearby reduced to powder and sand under such extreme temperatures.

Yet, despite the harsh environment, there was a small city situated nearby.

The city was several hundred stars away from the Red Purple Volcano, providing a semblance of safety.

The sweltering heat caused the city's residents to be drenched with sweat, their skin tanned dark under the relentless sun.

At a glance, it presented an unusual yet striking scene.

“That there is the famous Divine Artifact City,” Randall Freeman pointed toward the settlement.

Ethan glanced at Randall and asked, “Divine Artifact City? What does that mean?”

Randall stroked his beard and chuckled, “Divine Artifact City is unlike the outside world. Children born here are trained in artifact crafting from a young age. If they display talent, they are nurtured further. If not, they're cast out from the city.”

He then continued, “Don't be fooled by the modest size of this city; it houses many top-notch Refining Masters.”

Ethan nodded slightly. Coincidentally, he possessed some damaged magical artifacts left behind by Kendrick Burke, which he intended to have polished here.

“I'll have to visit them when I get the chance,” Ethan remarked.

Randall shook his head and said, “There's no need to wait for a chance; we're heading there now.”

“Why?” Ethan asked, somewhat puzzled.

Randall pointed toward the distant volcano emitting a faint purple glow and explained, “The Red Purple Volcano has a unique characteristic. The flames here change periodically–sometimes fierce, sometimes gentle.”

“The intense flames serve to melt divine weapons, while the gentle flames are used to forge divine artifacts.”

“We can't control the timing of this volcano, so we'll need to seek advice from the locals.”

Hearing this, Ethan couldn't help but feel astonished.

*This volcano was practically created for refining artifacts!*

*Its alternating gentle and fierce flames were absolutely ideal for forging divine items.*

“Let's hope the flames are in their gentle phase now,” Randall said.

With that, the two men headed toward the Divine Artifact City.

As they entered the city, Ethan and Randall were hit by waves of hot air.

The heat felt like boiling water splashing onto their faces–intensely uncomfortable.

“What scorching temperatures,” Ethan frowned.

“Indeed,” Randall responded with a nod and added, “We're at the safe distance from the volcano now. A step further, and the entire city would likely be obliterated.”

Ethan couldn't help but marvel internally. Clearly, the Red Purple Volcano was far more perilous than he had imagined.

Throughout the city, the clanging sounds of forging tools echoed continuously, as if someone were crafting equipment.

Occasionally, gruff Refining Masters could be heard chastising their youthful apprentices.

Though small in scale, the city buzzed with activity.

As Ethan and Randall entered, they drew little attention–everyone seemed preoccupied with their own business.

Randall led Ethan to an Artifact Refining Workshop. Though not particularly large, the workshop displayed a dazzling array of materials.

At the entrance stood a massive fire barrel. Inside, purple flames flickered faintly.

A burly man with his upper body exposed was hammering away at a glowing piece of equipment–it looked to be a sword.

Beside him stood a young girl assisting with the work.

Despite living in such a harsh environment, her skin was astonishingly fair, contrasting starkly with the burly man's sun-darkened complexion.

“Hello,” Ethan and Randall greeted the burly man loudly as they approached.

Without lifting his head, the burly man replied, “Here to craft artifacts?”
