Simon Ingram furrowed his brows slightly. Clearly, he had underestimated Eternal's fear towards the Leader of the Cloud Sect and overestimated his courage.

“As I said, he's not there! Plus, even if he were, you're just going to deliver a gift. The Cloud Sect is a major clan, they won't take action against you rashly,” Simon Ingram tried to persuade.

“If you don't go, I will kill you right now. However, if you manage to accomplish this, after the master revives, I can help you reach the Reversion Void Stage.”

This combination of both reward and punishment immediately lit up Eternal's eyes.

Before Eternal could reply, Alf Dillon from the side volunteered eagerly, “Mr. Simon, if he doesn't dare to go, I will! Since the Leader of the Cloud Sect isn't around, there's nothing to be scared of!”

Simon Ingram sneered, “Didn't you say you are not feeling well?”

“I suddenly felt better, strange, isn't it?” Even though he was lying through his teeth, Eternal didn't seem to mind.

After accepting the gift, he confirmed once again, “You're sure he's at the Thunder Courtyard, not in the Cloud Sect, right?”

Simon Ingram said with a stern face, “If you've got such worries, it's better not to go!”

“I'll go, I was just asking,” smiled Eternal sheepishly.

Simon Ingram gave a light huff, and said, “Then leave immediately, let's not waste any time.”

“Alright, I'm leaving right away,” replied Eternal at once.

After that, he started sprinting towards the direction of the Cloud Sect.

Although he was somewhat worried, Simon Ingram did not seem to be lying. Besides, the promise to help him reach the Reversion Void Stage was too tempting for him.

Once Eternal was far enough, Simon Ingram turned to face Alf Dillon.

“Your cooperation was quite commendable. The position of Godly King is currently vacant, I'll recommend you to the master as soon as possible,” said Simon Ingram plainly.

Alf Dillon quickly bowed in gratitude, “Thank you, Mr. Simon!”

“Just one question… Is the Leader of Cloud Sect really not around?” Alf Dillon eased into his question with some doubt.

“Most likely not, but I'm not completely sure,” Simon Ingram didn't resort to lying.

“So, the news about him being at Thunder Courtyard is fake?” Alf Dillon continued to question.

Simon Ingram snorted, “Of course it's fake, how would I know exactly where he is?”

At once, Alf Dillon had a moment of realization, and could not help but shudder for Eternal.

“Eternal, all I can say is, good luck,” Alf Dillon spoke in his heart.

Cloud Sect, numerous leaders of various sects had gathered.

They had been discussing daily about how to deal with the current situation.

Ethan Smith's whereabouts were unknown, Gregory Hum had secluded himself in Bamboo Mountain, and the whereabouts of the Leader of the Cloud Sect were also unknown.

In this situation, they could only rely on themselves.

“In my opinion, why not take this opportunity to negotiate a peace?” An elder rose and suggested.

This elder, named Leroy Rhodes, was always reluctant to fight with others, and so was his sect.

If it were not for the North Plain making their move against them, Leroy Rhodes would not have gotten involved in this matter at all.

“Negotiate? How?”

Everyone seemed flustered, and the complexion of the Deputy Sect Master was not at all well.

The Deputy Sect Master walked into the Great Hall swiftly. He looked at Eternal who was in front of him and couldn't help but say coldly, “Eternal, how dare you come to our Cloud Sect?!”

Eternal glanced at the Deputy Sect Master, and said indifferently, “Deputy Sect Master, there's no need to be so outraged, it's better to resolve disputes than to create them.”

The Deputy Sect Master glared furiously at Eternal, gritting his teeth, “You're just a perfidious wretch. What's there to talk about with a person like you? Get out of here now!”

Eternal squinted his eyes slightly and slowly stood up, “I heard that the Leader of the Cloud Sect has returned. I wonder if it's true.”

The Deputy Sect Master was taken aback. He replied somewhat unconvincingly, “Of course our Sect Master has returned, what does that have to do with you!”

“Really?” Eternal's eyebrows rose. He probed, “Since he has returned, why hasn't he made a move yet? You know, I nearly caused the downfall of the Cloud Sect previously. Doesn't he want to kill me?”

The Deputy Sect Master opened his mouth, but was at a loss for words.

Seeing the expression on the face of the Deputy Sect Master, Eternal was assured.

“It seems Simon Ingram didn't lie, the Leader of the Cloud Sect has not returned at all!” said Eternal coldly in his heart.
