After Lu Xiaoer finished emergency measures on a patient whose thigh was stabbed by a metal shard, she let the nurses load him into an ambulance and followed a group of patients out.

She then rushed to another new patient,

It was the forty-sixth hour since the earthquake had occurred, the twenty-sixth hour since Lu Xiaoer had entered the earthquake zone for volunteer rescue work. Since she arrived in the disaster area the previous evening, she had been engaged in a race against time.

As Lu Xiaoer judged, she grabbed her phone and called the medical team,

"Is there any transport left to the hospital? There is a patient here with bleeding in the chest cavity—helicopter? Even better, I’ll send you the location, bring two people to lift him."

After arranging for transportation, she inserted a catheter into the man,

" This will alleviate the pain, try to stay strong!"

The man nodded weakly, tears continuously sliding down, his cracked lips slightly parted, repeating a single word over and over.

From the old man to the children to the spouse, everyone was pulled out. The old man and the children were just a bit weak; the woman had a big gash on her arm. As Lu Xiaoer was about to examine it, the mistress held Lu Xiaoer, tears falling continuously,
