Next, she locked herself in the room to listen to the recording. The recorder didn’t capture every word clearly; some parts were still indistinct, but the few captured words were enough to reveal many issues.

She began to call Ronggui, very anxious!

But Sun Yulin and Zhao Ye, who had already gone downstairs, returned at this moment. As they walked, Sun Yulin complained to Zhao Ye, "Just look at yourself. What can you accomplish? Always forgetting things, either this or that! We were blind to have chosen you initially."

The two returned to the room, and the service staff were still cleaning. As they turned around, they blurted out, "Are you back to look for a pen? A colleague just took it down for you."

At the fastest speed, they dashed to the front desk. Sun Yulin asked, "Do you have a small-sized service staff member?"

The front desk was bewildered, "There are many such people!"

Sun Yulin grew anxious, "How many service staff do you have in housekeeping? Bring them all here for me to see!"

"Sir, this is... unreasonable." No guest had ever made such a request.

"We lost something! We now suspect a housekeeping service staff member stole it!" Sun Yulin grimly intimidated.

"This... you can call security or report to the police..."

"No time left! We have a flight to catch! Someone entered the room! I recognize them! Just let me see if there’s such a staff member! Or tell me, which staff sent water to room 712 today?" Sun Yulin’s attitude became increasingly stern.

This request, the front desk still met, calling the housekeeping department. Soon, a short and plump service staff member ran over, admitting it was themselves, but their face was in a panic.

This was obviously not the person who had entered the room earlier!

"Since it’s you! Why was there someone else later? Is that person from your hotel?" Sun Yulin interrogated.

"I... don’t know..." The short and plump attendant lowered their head, face flushed red.

Sun Yulin was sharp-witted, and what else was unclear? Thinking for a moment, he took out a photo from his phone to show the front desk, "Have you seen this person?"

"Seen..." the front desk nodded, "Staying... staying at our hotel." Perhaps it was the hotel’s mistake, or maybe Sun Yulin had frightened them, the front desk nodded hurriedly.

Sun Yulin immediately focused on the key point, "Is he alone or with someone?"

"Together, with a girl!" the front desk realized, "It’s a small-sized girl!"

Sun Yulin was about to lose his temper when Zhao Ye pulled his arm, slowly shaking his head, casting a glance at the short and plump service staff.

Two minutes later, Sun Yulin and Zhao Ye reappeared on the seventh floor, rushing toward one of the rooms.

"This is it!" Zhao Ye pointed at the room number.

Sun Yulin gritted his teeth, fiercely kicked the door open.

A loud crash of a chair falling came from within as the door flew open. The two rushed inside, but no one was in sight.
